For example, Regency's website, http://www.newregency.com/, has this info@newregency.com as their email. Do I just send a letter to that address and hope it goes where it should? Sorry, not trying to be whiney. I just don't want to spend the time if it will never be read. Even though as a query letter it probably won't anyways, lol.

Ok, so your main problem is that you're shooting for the stars a bit early.  It's OK to send out to a few big fish, but like I said before, you should really be refining your strategy (query letter, synopsis, logline, etc) before you go big.  If I were you, I'd start with some mid-level companies; as they'll be more likely to look at your stuff.  My guess is, the people at Regency aren't that keen on looking at submissions.  In fact, they probably have a "no unsolicited material" policy (a barrier you'll come across a lot).

Anyway, let's do this one as practice.  So the e-mail address they give you is "info@newregency.com".  That's basically their way of telling you to f-off.  They put up INFO e-mail addresses because they don't want to put up their real ones.  But there are ways of figuring it out, it just takes persistance.

So, look at the STAFF list.  Now, you see the President of Production is Pamela Abdy, but - surprise, surprise - she lists no contact info.  Now, like I said before: this is a BIG company, and odds are, Pamela won't read your e-mail.  You're more likely to get a small or mid level president of production (or their assistant) to do that.  But this is just practice.

Now, you need to know that the e-mail structure of most places is very similar.  It's either:

pamela.abdy@companyname.com
pabdy@companyname.com
pamela@companyname.com
pamela_abdy@companyname.com

Because of the INFO e-mail address, you know the stem, so use that.  From there, it's trial and error.  You can also type in the company's name in Google along with "Done Deal" to check the Done Deal message boards.  Odds are, people have done this work for your already.

It's a lot of work.  Be ready for that.  Querying is not easy.

Basically everything Derssel said.

I'll add, if you don't know the email structure, you could just google - "@newregency.com". See what comes up. Then "@newregency.com" and the persons name. If you get nothing, try to google @newregency.com and a person's name that is lower on the totem pole. The use of "" is important.

It's basically all about using logic to figure out. If you don't find it through google that doesn't mean that it's not out there. Google searches only a small part of the internet. So there is a LOT info to be found.

You have to sit down and think about the movie making process and the stages it goes through and where information could be available. A lot of documents that are in pdf on the internet are scanned and those can't be search even though they contain information that could be really useful.

One tip. Do not buy those ebook that say they have information on production companies. Those are a rip off. You can easily find all that info by searching google.
Example this one: http://www.amazon.com/Hollywood-Screenwriting-Directory-Spring-2013/dp/1599637766

Also I have talked to people that have gotten reads by emailing the INFO email. So you never know.

Almost all of those emails are out of date, the people have moved on to different companies and so on. Still it's a useful link to figure out the email structure.
