...for festivals, to present to interested parties.
What exactly do they mean by "bound"?
Just hole punched with a couple of tags through them, or with some sort of cover? |

Three holes with two brads. Like Don's avatar. Minus the middle brad. |

Those look correct. Usually the cover page is of a heavier stock paper with the script's title on it as well. Plain white though.
That should be all you need, but make sure the brads are long enough if it's for a feature. |

It's official: brass brads are back. Okay, I had nothing else to really add, but I'm quite certain that Pia, above, had it. Whenever I think of scripts being bound, it's by dual brass brads, omitting the middle.
EDIT: Mark my words: the "meets line" is going to become in vogue again at some point. Be ready for it. Lol. =) |

Seems crazy in this day and age. Email is the most cost efficient and tree-friendly way to send a script. |

Like anything in the screenwriting world, there aren't really steadfast rules. However, there are things that virtually everyone agrees on. This is one of them. |

Max, this is what a script should look like...except for I didn't use brass brads. I used studs. They are accepted as well. Dustin, I don't remember why scripts were exactly this way, but I do remember that is why the margins are the way they are. Especially further in on the left. |

Pia, did somebody put a check that would make Shane Black jealous inside your script? Lol. =) |

I once had to send hard copies of a short script for a competition - I have no idea why I bothered.
Let's be honest, if someone wants a hard copy, then print it off for yourself. Most scripts are read on computer or tablet.
I can imagine 'important' folk like to be handed scripts, I get that for various meetings, but surely the hey have someone to print it off for them. Sent by carrier pigeon seems daft these days. Hey ho...

Clean up the thread to focus on the what is generally agreed as an acceptable way for submitting a bound script.

Thank you all for the advice.
I have ordered all the necessaries.
I am confident that the time and expense spent upon my soon to be bound script will add at least two zeros to the end of any deal.
000 is so much more impressive than 0. |

As earlier said, Card stock front and back covers, Multi-purpose paper in between, three holes punched with 2 brass brads top and bottom holes. Paper has to be all white. Mostly so that the script can be opened, manipulated (copied, scenes removed, notated, etc.) then re-assembled. Coffee needs to be spilled somewhere. And no, you don't get to use colors and crayons to get a leg up |

If the zero's are all you require, I can provide an infinate amount of 'em. Other digits -- not so easy to come by. |
