Ten pages or less.  Which of your scripts that is ten or fewer pages, that is currently available and listed on SimplyScripts, is your best work?

Answer in the thread or PM me.

SCARED YET?

Definitely one that I'm proud of. Although I'm quite hopeful that peeps will enjoy my newest short "Something's Out There", which has been submitted for the boards.

Does my selection have to be from what is currently posted or can I update with a revision? I'm finding that what I have posted are mostly all early drafts.

If I'm able to send a revision, it will have date proof that it was last touched many moons ago.

What's your call?

It's super short, but I love this script. I also think it's my most original idea.

Funny thing is that it's not even in my favourite genre. It's dark comedy which I find impossibly hard to write. This still cracks me up.

I'd have to write one.

I'm too long-winded for ten pages.

There's a lesson in that.

That's a toughie, they all are good.

No, I'm kidding. I guess I don't have a short that I'm ready to single out and say this one is my best work. Maybe if I rewrite the one done for the tournament.

'Best' is so relative...which makes this such a tough decision between two of my DC shorts.

'Super Scoop' (just sent in a revision) was written for a OWC and had been in the top ten favorites on Script Revolution for well over a year and is one of my faves for sure.

On the other hand, 'Dark Knight: Triad' is in it's infancy and dabbles in my two favorite subjects: Sociopaths and how jacked-up Bruce Wayne/Batman is.

Dang it, I'm going with the latter.

Hey Don,

I got some changes with one of my entries.

Just read my latest comment there. Although you surely don't have to do anything. It's okay... just little things. Hope you are fine.

I just have two short scripts on the site at the moment, one under 10 pages and it certainly isn't my best.

I'm planning to upload a couple more, but they are also over ten pages. So, I'm out.

Thank you everyone!  Please keep them coming.  I probably should have been more forthright from the beginning as to why I asked "What is your best, 10 page or less script that is available and on the site?"
However, I didn't want to inadvertently set the expectation that the scripts you put forth will be reviewed or reviewed anytime soon.

I want to have a list of scripts of folks who are active on the boards that I can hand to reviewers.

Please keep them coming. And, hey!  If you come across a really good script that has to be made do your fellow writer a solid and Review It.

My 2010 horror short Cleansed fits the bill, Don. My first attempt at horror came out pretty well for that years Halloween OWC. I never did any revision in it and its got some high budget things but I was always happy with it

Look, there's a red herring on the first post! Seriously, there's a fish in the right corner. What sort of trickery is this?

As for a script... I feel bad cuz I still haven't rewritten despite all the great notes I got... but Pinocchio: A Nose for Flesh is available. It's family friendly.

I'm not sure what I've got listed at the moment but the one that everyone seems to like is Cyborn. I know that was removed so I could enter it into some competitions but now that's it's won one I'd be happy to list it again.

Oh and it's being turned into a mini-comic!

I feel, which indicates I must be human and therefore I am, which is good, sometimes.

My best script is:

http://www.simplyscripts.com/s.....aSubmitedVersion.pdf

It is absurd, subjectively interpretive. It has something that I can't pin down.

Laval did come clean in the washing machine. Still working on that part and reading Talisman (screenplay adaptation by Richard Lagravenese) and Walden by Thoreau himself. The pond is (haz) הזא! gotta be good. Why leave?

Preview says, "Program doesn't accept Hebrew." Shucks. Really liked the look of that.

Heading to the cabin myself now.

A pop in. Maybe be back for Halloween.

Sandra

I believe my favourite so far is 'Continuous Genocide', a horror script from an anthology feature my writing partner and I are almost finished writing. Soon we will submit it to this site and it is from our script titled 'Psychosystem'. The anthology's theme is loss of innocence.

Here is a link to the screenplay of my favourite short that is 10 pages or less:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxFcl2Xq4H7iUFF1QWdUemVJM1NvZ256NEFtZl9XLUt3eU9J/view?usp=sharing

My writing partner's favourite short of ours is from the same anthology mentioned above, and it is a sci-fi titled 'Mindfill'.

Here is the link to her favourite short:

Good Things Come...

Script link is dead. I just sent in a "new" draft (from 2014). Process of elimination. Most of my shorts are over 10 pages, and most of the ones under 10 suck (most of the ones over too, probably). I just reread this one and somehow still found it enjoyable five years later.

Hey Steve, FYI, it also comes up on ScriptSearch, top right hand side of the discussion page (for anyone who's not aware, this often saves having to trawl through the categories). I notice the production stills... Did this get completed? Is it still available for production?

Just reminding everyone that Don's objective with this thread is to generate scripts available for production to be potentially showcased on the SS Blog page.

Hey, Libby. Thanks for the script search tip. I didn't realize that was there (Earning your keep as a mod already!). Anyway, the production stills did not come up on my end, but I trust you. A guy went about filming, but I never heard back from him. I think he ran out of money or something, so yes this is still available for production.

I read the script again. After I was done I smiled and said aloud, "What a great fucking script!" Lol. Makes up for all the crap ones I wrote.

11:07 hands down... has been requested about 30 times, including my favorite where a student wanted to replace my name with his and hand it in for his homework
Currently a film maker in NY worth 9 Mill and owns a yacht wants to make it " Oscar worthy"
and another from Pittsburgh also wants it for the festival rounds.

I'll try my best. FYI that search function is also there at the bottom of most of the discussion threads - 'shorts', 'Screenwriting Class' etc. It's saved me a lot of time in the past when trying to find something.

I would add this to the search tip since it took me 4 years to figure out (I'm kind of thick).

Enter a script in the search box. I'll use Bill's great "The Elevator Most Belonging To Alice".

This will come up on your screen.

There are 1 results

script - download
The Elevator Most Belonging To Alice - Bill Sarre (reef dreamer) writing as Christine Beauchamp Hosted by: Simply Scripts
unproduced script in pdf format Bill Sarre (reef dreamer) writing as Christine Beauchamp discuss [

If you want to see the script - you can click on the script title. However - if you want to find the thread - you have to click on "discuss" at the very end of the screen shot.

Reason I mentioned is that I often wanted to go back and find the actual script thread. Didn't realize hitting discuss did that - like I said - thick headed

Random note as I think - Libby - is there a key word search on the site???

Spot on, Dave.

The script title itself shows in bold for downloading the actual script and the author's name next to it discuss (in italics) the latter leading to the script thread on the discussion board.

There's another definitive search here:

https://www.simplyscripts.net/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl?v-search/

Located next to recent threads, recent posts, home, help, calendar, search, register, login.

I'm no expert on the site but perhaps after the OWC we could have a Sticky thread for Newbs - a straightforward 'tips and tricks' for navigating the site, including the site guidelines/etiquette, Don's note on SS and Censorship/Freedom Of Speech etc.

I know it took me a long time too to find certain things and most of us do out of necessity and trial and error but there are a lot of hidden gems and resources for writers, especially Newbs, on SS.

Q: What is the site so hard to navigate?
A: It is designed this way to weed out the weak.
