I know we are still knee deep in a Quickie, but does anyone know if there is going to be a WT this year, or has Sean officially had enough?

Is there much interest?

Don't know specifically re a WT for this year, Warren
Only Sean can answer that one.

For now just be aware of what Don said re the Calls challenge.

Quoted from Don
This is the first of three un-interrelated writing challenges...

I happen to know one of these in particular will give you a good run for your money.

I'm game for a writer's tournament later in the year when the 3 quickie challenges are done!

If Sean doesn't want to run one then we could do one as a combined effort (a different writer runs each week of the tournament, I'd be happy to pitch in)

Week 1 challenge: Write a script with 1 location, 1 character, no audio or visuals and you can't use any vowels.

Feature

42.2

Two steps to writing a good screenplay:
1) Write a bad one
2) Fix it

I loved taking part I'm the WT last year. At that point I was furloughed and had all the time in the world. Not saying no, it would just be tricky depending on the criteria.

Head to head action. I loved the first one we had. The last one seemed a little complicated, but maybe that was just me.

I love those but I won’t participate. It’s just - life is after me these days and I’m sure I won’t be able to finish smthing as complicated as WT

Always happy to contribute a script (or three) to any challenges on SS, love the variety and they force me out of my comfort zone.

I still have 'Nam-like flashbacks from that one I entered.

That rug really tied the room together.

Love the WT! Count me in. I'll dry clean my bridesmaid dresses in preparation for disappointment.

I do remember him saying there would be three, in another thread I commented that I thought we might be losing something from the script in each challenge, first one no visuals, second maybe no dialogue, third something else?

But you have definitely piqued my interest.

You say that like they don't normally give me a run for my money

I don't know, seems a bit too easy.
