I enjoyed this discussion and I felt that somehow our "Bert character" is in this dialogue and I didn't want to make him a total nutcase mad scientist. I wanted to make him into a good man who maybe went a little too far-- pushed the edge.

I've been researching Dr. Francis Collins as a blueprint for Bert. I was very interested to find that:

Raised on a small farm in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, Francis Sellers Collins was home-schooled by his mother until the sixth grade. He attended Robert E. Lee High School. He is the youngest of four sons, which includes his brother, Dr. Fletcher Collins, who currently holds the title of "Assistant Head of Middle School" and "Director of Curriculum" at Collegiate School in Richmond, Virginia.

**

I'm very interested here because I home-schooled my children as well. All are very successful. My middle daughter, pursuing an arts degree, recently received over $5,000 dollars in scholarships.

If one were to take the "Bert" character in this vein, it might be an entirely different movie.

Again, I'm just playing with thought- such an interesting exersise this has been!!!

Too late, babe.  Those that know me well would completely concur with this description.

So I finally had a chance to catch up on my reading tonight.  Some interesting turns, indeed.

As with my last turn, I would not neglect Sandra's post.  Wacky and hallucinogenic -- sure -- but there are interesting fragments there.

I am also a fan of the shark.  Stupid?  Sure.  But fun.

I also regret Alffy's passing.  I had hoped to have my own chance for a bit of editorializing on his troublsome package.  Too bad.

So -- Ste, Pia, and Bush are all that remain -- and curiously, Ste and Pia are the next two remaining turns.  It will be interesting to see what they do.

But the last turn is mine.  And it's a kill.  Be warned.

...that is not the bert that appears in my fanta... mind!!

Oh, that so increases your odds of survivial...but I guess we'll just see how it goes....

Something must be causing a disturbance in his agenda. He said he had to work today, but that he would get on it tonight, (that's tomorrow over there). He's probably working on it right now I bet.

Ste probs got caught up in the Calzaghe fight but I'm sure he'll post soon...I mean who could lose interest in this now? It's gone completely nuts! Vampire sharks!! Amazing.

Missed out on the discussion board yesterday but I've soon caught up, wondering who they can possibly cast now with all the nakedness, not too many actors will feel comfortable lol.

Working on it now folks, sorry for the delay. My local club won in the FA. Cup yesterday so a lot of drinking last night. White russians, Vodka and Johnny Daniels mixes, doesn't it?

Hey Ste,

You must still be drunk if you tried to turn on the sunbed.  I think by sunbed they mean deckchairs.  But I think we get what you were aiming at.  Poor roast Zadora - I think she got a bit overdone.

I figured you would go after her anyway.  It's her turn next.  I wonder how she'll take her revenge.  There are crueler fates than death.

Only one more turn and then the final battle.

I too thought of sunbeds as the things you get a tan under, I think it's a British thing. We call deck chairs....deck chairs actually or sun loungers.

Oh and Ste, white russians...nice! Love them too but they get me cained too easy.

Nice job Ste!!!  Glad we joined forces.  Also glad you were hammered...nothing wrong with that!

Only question is, how did it go from early morning to moonlight?

Love the "warcray and spinning windmill attack.

I'm surprised my Mako never came back into play.

Looking froward to seeing what happens.

I like White Russians too...but always forget about that drink until someone mentions them...you can drink a few of those...and then I think it's Jack Daniels...I've had many a fun times that I can barely remember while hanging with "Jack"

I liked this...it's possible that they had a tanning bed on the sundeck...whatever the case...what a great way to kill a vampire...

Sounds like the MMA has a new move...."The Windmill Punch"   (kind of like the "Flying Superman" or the "Spinning Back Fist" punch)  *wink

Good job Ste...hope your head feels okay today

I love words and the fact that when the page is blank...there's nothing there until words are formulated in my brain. Those thoughts...rushing through my viens and out my finger tips, find "life" on the page.

When people and places come to life...that to me is exciting.

Ste, I absolutely love the idea of "Why can't we be friends' playing against a fight scene!

I think with Dana's comment explaining "why" Zadora was out in the sun (heavy duty SPF) as written into prior dialogue would be excellent. Not a "real" explanation, but a fun one.

Dying in a sunbed was an excellent idea I think!!!

You've made my morning with this scene.
