Just my 2 cents...hoping to help with the connects of our scenes. I went back three entries and read each one, jotted down what I felt were significant, "moving forward" additions for the characters...then I checked the board to see where everyone was at. Cornetto is awesome about updating the track sheet to keep us on track, so if nothing else, check that out before you write.
In some ways I think it's a bigger challenge to follow the story line laid out before us, while either advancing, moving or killing characters with our additional scenes. (Whichever MC tells us to do) I know if we were ever called in to work on a project, it would need to make sence and follow the established story line.
I'm probably a little bit more dogmatic about this...but I really want to learn.
I know Cornetto said we can go off in our own direction, but I feel that part of the learning curve here is to respond to the rest of the story in a way that moves it forward.
NOT to say you didn't move the story forward Alffy But use the tools provided when possible. That's what they are there for.
Nice job with a tub of cream. *wink*
P.S. This is no way meant to be negative...but merely contructive comments on my part. It's interesting to see how far we have come and where we are yet to go...

I think perhaps, that when this is done, it would be fun to actually work on creating a few different stories from this using the characters and working more with their individual characters.
Moving the story forward is a very important thing, but it depends too what effect you're going for. Someone might want to dive into character mode and it might wind up weak storywise and then you might get someone else who is doing an excellent job with the story part- or at least so it seems, but it's dialogue heavy or whatever it is deficient in.
I think you raise a good point here though. Something just to really keep in mind when we are working on a true script.
Like I said, it would be interesting to create variations just on this first and second round of killer.
I'm really thinking a lot about the different characters. I like Alffy's scratch problem and Yohn, the detective with a problem mustache. Working with the Zadora character I think would be really fun to make her more complex than just an orgasmic phantom of the night. The relationship with Morgan and Cornetto I'd like to explore more.
There's a lot going through my head with the characters. I think many spins could be put on this hundreds of times over just by creating special circumstances in each voyage. Like for instance: A character like Ste takes a vow to give up drinking and gambling and wom- NO. He can't give up women.
But whatever circumstances change in each successive voyage- one thing stays the same: they all have to die except one. But then, reincarnations abound in Killer.
My first impression when I read the rules was that each character was supposed to do their own killing of another character when it was their turn to kill. I assumed that when you were killed you could only write character developing scenes to support the story.
Cornetto - the moderator would hold the control on who's turn it was and give us the word either way.
In my case...I was already dead and still got to kill someone
As Cornetto mentioned though - and to his credit...he has kept us informed, aligned and motivated! I think this is an excellent concept and exercise in writing.
It would be very cool to write a collaborative TV series this way, but there would need to be more guidelines to follow.
Everyone is engaged in this, which really shows and no matter who is left standing...it is really fun to be a part of this.
I wonder if Cornetto dressed up as an 1890's Australian frontiersman today for the Melbourne Cup?
I love words and the fact that when the page is blank...there's nothing there until words are formulated in my brain. Those thoughts...rushing through my viens and out my finger tips, find "life" on the page.
When people and places come to life...that to me is exciting.
MBCgirl =) My finger nails should look nice while I type - Red works!

Keep the words flowing!

I agree, it would be interesting to do a series this way. And of course, drawing up parameters and instructions are a good idea if we want to be strict about what happens.
What's also a possibility, too, to make it even more interesting, (like it could be?!_ ... but would be to exchange scenes with a partner. For instance, I might write out an idea for a scene and someone else writes it. And vice versa. This would advance a different set of skills I think where a person is "thinking" in the telling mode. Does that makes sense? What I'm trying to say is that one is organizing a kind of treatment plan or a summary, it's quite a different process than writing scenes themselves.
A lot of good work here all around and very interesting- even if the logic factor isn't here at the present.
I have some interesting ideas for the next game. It will be different from Killer but along the same lines. We can discuss it after we finish this game (I'm just concerned here that we start discussing new ideas before this one is finished - everyone knows where that leads). What I will do is create a thread where we can discuss new ideas for games and rules so we can keep them out of this specific games discussion.
When my turn comes up, I will do everything possible to make sure that every single character, be they alive or dead, will be magnificently naked.
Some cruise, huh? Nothing but killing, cloning, pyramid portal openers, gems, vampires, evil A & B operatives... Not much in terms of relaxing and cruising.
Please, Moderator Cornetto...pick me!!! Pick me!!! I want to show the beauty of the human body...in all of its magificence (sp?).
Way too funny you guys! I can't stop laughing actually. Some great stuff here for sure.
PS Can we get like $7 million togther between us and make a kick ass movie that will gross at least $23 million at the NABO, and then another $17 million overseas, and of course, another $28 million in DVD? I've got $1,450 I can put in as of right now. After this week, I will have $1,775. I know...it's not quite there, but it's a start at least. If I work next week, I may be able to throw in close to $2,000...will that do it?

Send more Albertan herb...quick!!!!
Well, if we work like crazy and keep the faith, who knows what could happen. Maybe Gabriel can open his big bank account for us all to enjoy LOL.
I'm drinking chamomile tea at the moment, maybe that's what does it!
I don't have the key. You need to ask allfy to give it back.
And dreamscale, why not include nude ghosts as well.

Ahh. I thought I killed Yohn but it was only his tape recorder. I guess everyone has had enough of running around and killing/getting killed cause apparently we're all going to get wasted. I can deal with that lol

I know what you mean but I was trying to bring back a couple of characters that had disappeared for a while, meaning they'd been in the same location for a few turns. Don't worry though you didn't offend me or anything lol.
By the way I think we should get this copyrighted straight away or I bet we'll soon see this on the big screen lol. I can see the reviews now, 'incrediblely hard to follow but stay with it as the complex story unfolds and it all becomes clear, oscar performances all round'. lol
Check out my scripts...if you want to, no pressure.
