OK, now we're moving on.  My scene is in.  Hope I did it right.  Probably missed on the Irish brogue though.

I had the scene heading BOLDED, but it wouldnt' take...otherwise, I think doing it in WORD was OK.

Hope it's cool  This is fun...and HUGE CONGRATS have to go out to our esteemed Captain!

Seriously...very cool, bud.  Nice job!

Very good Jeff.

Decided to have a party in the bar.  Think that will save you, eh.

Fixed your location slug and updated the tracksheet.

Blakkwolfe is up next.

The fact these entries are coming in quickly are good. Hope that continues. I'm curious where Alffy, Sandra and Yohn are?

Did Michael tell you to introduce one or was it just a character scene?

No problem. Don't worry about it. If you did, he'll mention it too.

Alffy, Sandra and Yohn haven't been introduced (which is good for them actually).

It's been great that people so far have been quick about their scenes - though I think it's expected that we would get some delays.  I notified blakkwolfe immediately after Jeff posted but I haven't heard from him yet so we may be stalled until the 26th.

I won't disclose the special instructions I gave you but you are welcome to discuss them after your turn is over.

You are also welcome to discuss suggestions for what you think should happen next.  That might assist anyone who's struggling with what to do.

Hey alffy, whatever happens on the boat stays on the boat.

As a suggestion for the story, I better win that poker game. That's all I'm going to say...lol.

In the interest of keeping this moving, what I would like to do is amend things slightly - if it's ok with everyone.  I'm assuming  that Blakkwolfe is away for the weekend and he wouldn't want everyone to wait on him if he couldn't respond.  He hasn't been around SS for 8 days and he still hasn't responded to my email (not that it is required of him to do so but I think he would have questions because everyone else did).  So, I think it's reasonable to wait to see any kind of sign of him for about 6 more hours.  That will be 24 hours after I notified him. If he doesn't say boo before then I will postpone his turn and give this turn to someone who is around.  That ok with everyone?  Just want to make sure I'm being fair about it.

I honestly think that is a good ammendment.  I think we should be expected to repond to you, so that you know we are aware that it is our turn...and I think it's reasonable that we should  have 24 hours to respond before our post is due. (The 24 hours is part of the 48 hour deadline)

This will keep the story moving along.
Just my 2 cents

P.S.  I think it would be good to have some critque of what we write...or at least some comments pertinent to the writing and the direction.

As I have mentioned...I am learning so any constructive comments would be  great for me!

My comments are: So far...I love this...and I especially like that it can be anything we want it to be...just like a group of musicians contribute to each other...our scenes are being linked together to write something very unique. That's very cool!

I LOVE the part where Countess Zadora is whispering to Bush...and how he developed the relationships with all these men. I also like the card professional Ste

And of course without the foundational elements to this (Cornetto)...it wouldn't be nearly as interesting as it is...

It's going to be exciting to see how this plays out!
~m~

I also feel that the characters

Interesting scene.  I wonder how we know one another?  I like that I have a your bed on the bridge -- I certainly am prepared (If you want to change that click the modify button).

Of course we can comment on how scenes work or how they don't. We want everybody to learn from this exercise.

And since I'm at work and I can't update the track sheet just yet - I guess I'll update status here for the moment.

Up next is Zadora - By Oct 28.

In addition to what is on the track sheet.

Cooper has taken her turn.

Sandra is Introduced, and Missing near the elevator.  She is also a possible victim/killer.

Cornetto is on the bridge.

Cooper is in Room 402.

And I think murder is in the air.

Well...it definitely is quite a puzzle...we'll have to see how the "pieces" fit   But that's the interesting part...

I never watched "Lost" but I have a number of friends that do...or it could just be suggestive of the direction we are going...lol

Pretty cool stuff so far.  This is fun and will hopefully teach us all something as well.  What will that be?  No clue, but I think it's a great exercise anyway you look at it.

Nice scenes, MBC!  Some good twists thrown in.  Maybe that silver tipped hair spike will keep Zadora away.  I'm scared of her!  She seems to appaear and disappear at will...

Keep it up people!!!!

Congrats on starting this game Cornetto & the Mod status.

I wasn't sure about joining this and I have found myself enjoying this game as a spectator.  Now I'll think better of myself for next time.  Can't wait for Zadora's turn.  This game kinda reminds me of Cluedo.  And I always liked that game.

Nicely done Zadora, I'll never forget it.

Next up itmightbeorange - I wonder if she'll avenge my unfortunate demise.

Not much has changed on the board, except, well,  my character is dead.

I'll update the tracksheet when I'm home from work.

I have my scene all written out but it won't be until later today I post it. Just a heads up. I have issues sometimes with being extremely colorful in my descriptions.

Also, there is a vampire loose on the boat...how are we not noticing this stuff? lol I blame it on the booze. Personally.

Tracking sheet is updated and emails are out.

Dreamscale, of course we are learning lots about collaboration.  You incorporated other's ideas by writing about their characters and they do the same with yours.  Yours and everyone's contribution affect the course of this script.  And like I said, it may not be the most logical script but we're learning and we'll get better at it.

MBCgirl,  If I told you what I did for work then I'd have to kill you.

Zadora, you're so funny,  you slay me!

itmightbeorange, I'm sure I'm not the only one dying of curiosity about your scene...

So Michael, you're the first to fall...bummer for you. Think I may have to brush up on the rules cos I thought the deaths had to involve two characters and not really stated who did the deed, therefore putting both characters in the frame for the murder? On a side note, where the fudge am I? The good news is that the longer I'm hiding away the longer I stay alive lol...or the less people for me to kill

Yes...the good doctor can bring someone back to life...maybe you didn't hold the Captain's nose long enough!

I was going to write you in Alffy but your character introduction is also in the bar and actually behind the bar (we already have a bartender in the main saloon), with a hot blonde...so maybe you will come into play in the bar on the upper deck...there is a bar there too.

We have a lot of drinkers so it's a good thing we have a couple of bars on the boat!

Cheers!

How are we ever going to get back on course? Somebody better have boat experience.

This gets better and better. I also thought the murder needed to be mysterious, but the captain could be revived. Or is he?

Interesting entry. I'm kind of confused a bit on the gem. But I have good grasp of what it means. I wonder whose going to go next.

Yeah, me too...where did the gem come from?  I think you forgot to introduce it.  I like the idea though of this mysterious gem, and our new favorite vampire hunter, Orange!

Good morning.

Very nicely done vampire hunter Orange.  Zadora, you better watch out.

Tracksheet has been updated.  Next up, Mr. Ripley.  I wonder if he's winning or losing at cards.

The gem is a soul trapper. You know, something that sucks the souls out of things and keeps it. Why do I keep souls? That's for someone else to decide. I didn't introduce it because it was in the silver tin in my boot which was already introduced as kind of a mysterious object. Also vampire hunter? perhaps....perhaps not... DUH DUH DUUUUUUHHH.

I was out of town for a bit and am only now catching up on my reading.

Interesting things are indeed afoot. The promise of dark conflicts and shadowy motives have already begun to emerge.

Nicely done, Pia.  I like a death with consequence.  It shows that no one is safe.

And what of the good doctor?  Are his powers of healing as potent as advertised?  Only time will tell.

Well not only is my character dead but it was given a burial at sea.  Maybe.  I didn't hear a splash.

Yes it was understandable - you want me out of the picture. Two can play at that game..

Sandra is up next - hiding in the elevator - or is that just a cover?

I'll fix up the tracksheet when I get home from work. Looks like everyone has moved around so I don't really want to go over the changes in this post.

Tracksheet is updated and emails are sent.

Gabe, you had a bit of confusion in the beginning with your location.  Nic and Alffy were in the Dining Saloon.  But I guess everyone ran to the bar when Ste screamed.  I fixed your location slug so it wouldn't cause confusion.

Only the waves know where Sandra might take us next.

Thanks Michael. I got a bit confused with naming stuff on the map like the "entrance elevator area" and seeing where they were. I also went back to fix some grammatical errors, hope you don't mind.

MBC girl, complication is my middle name. My other is cryptic. lol.

I'm really interested where Sandra will take this. So, many endless possibilities. I absolutely love the smell of chaos in the air. LOL.

Hello everyone!

I just want to thank Michael again for providing us with this opportunity to develop our skills.

I'm in a difficult position because my turn falls right in the middle of some work at the hospital and some other commitments, but I'm grateful because this is the way we need to approach things-- on a deadline and with fervor.

I've been studying the characters and the scrript's progression so far and I've noticed some inconsistencies which are to be expected-- heck, we get them in our own scripts, and now, with all the minds involved, we're surely to run into these kinds of obstacles.

Currently, I'm trying to work out reasons for some of these inconsistencies and develop the context for everyone and motives of some of the characters.

This really is a great challenge and hopefully I can make a good contribution to what feels like an excellent foundation.

Thanks everyone. Let's keep the unity within the script (game) and make it a good one.

See you soon,

Sandra

Alright.  Who's the wise guy that put inconsistencies in our characters.  C'mon fess up.

Just kidding.

Thanks Sandra for the note explaining why I get a break from having to update the tracksheet after work today .  Right now I have my feet up, a nice glass of wine next to me.  So much leisure time  - I could really get used to this.

Though it's commendable of you to go through all the trouble of making things logical, it really isn't necessary for you to do so.  It's understood by everyone that this is not intended to be a completely logical script.  If we play this again, it might be a different story, but I think really - for this first try - keeping it moving is most important.  IMHO anyways.

Speaking of keeping things moving - I still have not heard from Blakkwolfe.  If anyone knows him and can contact him then please do so.  Failing that I might try to get a ghostwriter for his turn - if you know someone who's interested have them contact me pronto.   Failing that I have another idea.

Cheers guys and girls.

Thanks for the pm about the rules Michael, I was a bit confused but you've straightened me out. Love the avatar lol. I can really see this game becoming a reegular thing, different locations and characters can keep it fresh too.

It's probably me...but I'm confused by this whole last entry of scenes...

Oh well...it won't be the first time =) nor the last I am sure.

I thought we weren't supposed to add new characters and now we have a clone...hmmm.

I'll sleep on it and see how it looks inthe morning.

Some of the questions we all need to answer:

Is a Jekyll/Hyde character two characters?

Can one person inhabit two bodies at the same time?

When Dana Orange exhumed the soul of an apparently dead Cornetto, whose soul did she capture in that crystal of hers?

Sorry I was away. You wouldn't believe the day I had at work.

Looks like I'm a ghost or something like that now.  Not sure.  I can be sure that my character is dead because it's marked on the tracksheet.

I'm not sure I approve of the clone.  But what's done is done.  Thank you Sandra for tying up all those inconsistencies in a way that only you could have done it.  I'll fix the bolds for you.

I'll fix up the tracksheet soon because it's gonna take a bit to figure out.

Everyone else, remember, this script isn't expected to be completely logical.  You can follow a thread of logic that exists or strike off in your own direction.  It's more enjoyable for the readers if you try to make it logical but there's no rules in regard to that for this particular game.

Alffy is up next and he has murder on his mind.

Oh! And an update on Blakkwolfe.  I heard from him.  He's busy IRL at the moment and says that he won't be able to make this round though he will probably make the next.  I'll look for a ghostwriter for his turn or do you think it's better if I just drop his turn?

But wouldn't that be asking him to take four turns (the first turn and another turn in the game, a second time)? I think that's too much.

Missee Sandra   I do believe that two personalitites can inhabit one body...but when you kill that body...both spiritual inhabitants are gone.

A clone is another body...identical to the first it was cloned from.  So inmy mind...it is another character...

No worries though...I will roll with this and see where it takes us. I'm still confused about Cornetto though...I'm also confused about the A and B stuff...perhaps you can give us a little more info or back story so these things fall into place.

I realize that I am more of a logical sort...but I can swing like Jane when it's necessary.   (no hidden inuendos there people! *wink*)

I was trying to fit everything in and wound up with very little time to try and integrate things. Our lovely Pia had killed our Michael, but then was asking for help when Gabriel threw Cornetto overboard: My solution? Turn Gabriel into a clone thereby creating a "good assassin". (I just don't get bad vibes from Gabriel!)

The muses always come and hit on the serious side of things-- hence: I couldn't subdue the hilarity.

Michael was doing a lot of devious smiling in the first scene and someone mentioned in the discussion about Bert bringing him back to life- that's where that idea came from. I thought heck yeah! Good idea!

In the scene with Cornetto and Morgan- where they knew each other, I thought- hey it seems these people and others know each other too. That's when the whole:

Subtle superpowers came into play. I was thinking: What if?

These people were brought to the ship because they all have these special powers. They all worked for The Agency- but The Agency has two components: The A- Good side and The B- Bad side. You know- the polarity issues we deal with in regular life: hot/cold sad/funny bitter/sweet light/dark order/chaos life/death... And somehow, the balance has been tipped cosmically and the Maya dream theme of life is being overturned by nightmares.

I was playing with the idea that none of our cast of characters are bad, but they have been working for the agency- perhaps even switching sides from A to B- just to keep order.

Zadora's character led me to thinking she might not be a complete vampire- but a hybrid... and that she might be my half sister. I was playing with the idea that all of our cast has the same soul code- hence the strange superpower abilities and the connections that were written up in previous scenes.

When Zadora said Uh oh! There is a second captain isn't there?

I couldn't help but play with the idea of Cornetto having a clone and somehow there's a link with Bert's interesting history as a doctor who was frowned upon by his peers.

When Cornetto says, "Bermuda Triangle… Ha ha, what nonsense.
Nothing bad ever happens out here." I loved that and tried to incorporate that idea.

With dialogue like this:

STE
You two know each other?

Bush raises his glass.

BUSH
Cheers!  Yeah, I’ve been to more than a few parties where Spud’s been servin’.  A d*rn good bartender, if I do say so.  Cream of the crop.

*And this:

MORGAN
I’d say it’s been a long time Cornetto…

Recognition lights his face as he turns toward her voice.  His eyes soften for a brief moment, then…turn to steel.

CORNETTO
Yes it has…it’s been a very long time Morgan.

MORGAN
It doesn’t look like much has changed…except for …you’ve gained a little weight I see.

I thought again- these people know each other. How can I create a connection? A reason for them to be on the ship together- not just random killings, but something uncontrolled and related to the Bermuda thing- a paradox.

When:

ORANGE
Purely precaution my friend. Not my usual choice of blade but, it’s definitely more...subtle.

She takes the crystal and places it on his forehead. She closes her eyes. A blue light swirls around the gem and Cornetto’s head before disappearing inside the crystal. It glows momentarily before fading.

I thought of incorporating the soul gentics idea.

Anyways, that was some of what was going on when I worked that scene. The muses were busy. I couldn't stop laughing at some of what I was writing and then I just went with it.

Sorry Sandra, but I'm completely clueless as to what is now going on or even what was going on in your head when you wrote this last explanation post.

Where are all these clones coming from?  Were tehy somehow just cloned on the ship by the good Dr., or did they walk on with like everyone else?  Hoe did Captain Cornetto come back to life?  What's with this Agency thing?

I don't want to sound like an ass, but I don't see how anyone can carry all these themes out now.  It will be very interesting to see what the next post looks like.

I think I'm just going to stay at the bar and drink until my Elven clone appears, wearing ancient Viking battle armor, waving a "St. Louis Rams" flag.

Hello Dreamscale,

I was thinking that it might be possible that the Bermuda is distorting reality somehow. As far as Cornetto is concerned: I imagined that his evil clone was killed and that he's still alive. We need someone to steer the ship.

Zadora changed in the scene that Gabriel wrote. She was crying out for help. That's why I wrote her to be in distress- the dark side really taking over her for the most part, (the hybrid factor) but here, as she exits off the bridge, (after Cornetto was thrown over) she's fighting back- she's confused and disoriented- kind of like a split personality in ways.

Where are the clones coming from? Maybe Dr. Bert's experiments with some kind of God code- maybe he's pushed too hard on nature's limits or something and that's released a shift in the cosmos and it's messing with perceptions?

I'm excited to see where Alffy takes us next. And how does all his mail stealing figure into this? This is going to be fun! I'm dying with laughter!!!

I'd just like to appologise for the slugs not being bold, they were when I wrote it but not when I posted? Also sorry for the change in direction but I was completely stuck as to where to go after the last post.

To bold, put...

(b)What you want to bold(/b)

Change the ( to [ on both sides and it should work.

RIP perfect for Halloween!

I couldn't get the bold function to work either. I wanted to die laughing! I think I accomplished that! Did I? I mean am I just faking my death? Would a little ashtray really kill me? Or is this just a temporal distortion? It's all a temporal distortion here I think. But then... if I'm dead, I can do more- work from the "other side". Yeah! I like that!

Good job Alffy!

I think our beloved Alffy got Sandra.

And it's good to see everyone collaborating.  That's what this is about.  Keep those comments and ideas going.  Thank you Sandra for bringing that out in everyone.  Sorry that your character is dead but c'est la vie.

Nicely done Alffy.  Not at all expected and it excellently tied up the previous post.  All our questions are being answered but there are always more questions.   Will GM be able to answer them? He's up next.

This gets interesting every post. Great entry Alffy and thanks for the explanation Sandra. Anything's possible on the S.S. Craven. lol.

Someone needs to write about Bert. I'm curious of what his doing especially Blakkwolfe. They've been taking a long time carrying that body. lol.

I wonder if Cornetto's and Sandra's ghost can pop up and haunt pia and me like House on Haunted Hill. Or even curse the boat scaring the passengers.

How many clones are left?  And who are they?  Can each clone act like a regular person?  Can a clone kill?  Can we kill all the clones?  Is Captain Cornetto dead or alive?  Who's steering this ship, anyway?

And finally, how'd we get to the Bermuda Triangle already?  Didn't we just push off a short while ago?  Somehow, we've travelled all the way into the heart of the infamous Triangle in the same time it took Dr. Bert and T. Joe to walk a dead body to the Medical Center...how time flies when you're having fun!

I think Bert is extracting Doe's soul at the moment. Dana's keeping Cornetto's stolen part of his soul safe. Since the Cornetto that died was a clone I thought. But these clones- they must be made by stealing off part of a person's soul.

Gee whiz?! I don't even know if I've got a "whole" soul? What happens if you die without your whole soul? Now that's scary!

I sure do hope Zadora's alright. I don't want her to be damned or anything like that.

Whatever you do Dana, I'd beware of Alffy. He will just 86 you- and I should know- my pyramid portal opener holds a lot of number code. But he never  stole that- I hid it on the ship.

I think I saw my Elven clone hiding the pyramid portal opener under his ancient Viking battle armor.  My clone also "spoke" to me telepathically...he said that his Rams flag is actually a magical staff, made from the roots of the underwater "Tinnitus Sanctus" tree, only found at the heart of the Bermuda Triangle.  This staff/flag has the ability to instantly zap any and all clones (except for Elven clones, that is) into the 3rd Pyramidial Portal.

And the number of the code shall be...666.

MOOHA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!

Who is dead or alive, how many clones, where everybody is located - is all answered in the tracksheet.  Please refer to the tracksheet if you want the correct answer to those questions.  The tracksheet should always be considered correct (even if I make a mistake).   And note, depending on your internet settings you may need to refresh your browser to get the current tracksheet.

I didn't see any reference to any clones.  Obviously, I was pretty much kidding around, but after some thought, I am confused because after Sandra's post, you were alive and Ripley had a clone walking aournd, I thought.

What about my Elvish clone?

I think from Alffy's post we can see Sandra's post as a hysterical delusion her character had while rocking back and forth in the elevator.  Everything that happened during Sandra's post has been rolled back based on that interpretation.

The clone should have been just ignored anyway since it was clearly a breach of rules.  Since bringing my character back to life was also against the rules (unwritten though they might be) the only interpretation we could have had for that was that my character was a ghost - which is allowed.

Doesn't really matter anyway because anything that happened during Sandra's post was a dream. Sandra likes dream endings - so I think she'd be cool with that.

Right now, I'm wondering if GM's post will be storm or calm.

Hopefully, GM can rectify this in his post, if he so chooses too but Michael is still alive. Zadora is holding on to him for dear life near the rails. Now, how long she can hold is up to whoever decides to take up that aprt of the tale.

I never actually got to dispose of him. Zadora stopped me from doing it. Captain Cornetto simply needs to be pulled back over the rails to still have him on board. he served more as a choice breaker for Zadora: Kill my character or safe the Captain.

I decided to that since A) I wanted to make a twist in the story by adding another villain into the mix rather than leaving Zadora alone. B) I wanted to see where this was going to lead to by whoever was going to post next. C) I didn't want to get killed. Hopefully, that's not going to happen anytime soon. lol.

I just wanted to make these things clear for GM or for whoever decides to take this part up. Hopefully, I helped GM since you are the next writer.

I want someone to write: WHY Zadora is struggling to keep Cornetto alive when she TRIED kill him!!!!!!

I tried to explain that by giving Zadora a split personality, but everyone else is too absorbed in their own characters. Sheesh!!!

I think the only one that can save us is Bert! But be careful Bert- rumours are flying about what they want to do with you!!!

Just wanted to clarify one more thing here.

My character is not alive.  If you look at the tracksheet you will clearly see Captain Cornetto has a No in the alive column.  This means the character is dead.  The only character that has the ability to change this is bert and he may only use this ability on the last turn of the first round.

But we are screwed if we are dealing with magic or the supernatural. Even in a "Star Treck" script we can be messed up. (Bollocks- as Alffy called it).We need to set parameters that we are dealing completely with corporeality and no magic can exist.

If you are going to erase my character, you've got to say: "No Matrix stuff allowed!" Otherwise, you're just f--- ! Yes, that came from my warm hearted soul. (she hesitates) Do I really have a "whole soul"?

The thing is: The tone of this and how it's written is completely open to interpretation. We're supposed to be having a good time! Hard to do- When you think you're trying to develop context and. someone 86s you... you know how it goes.

I've been having fun with this, but I thought "I" was the person trying to develop some context here- and I was knocked off. I don't care about being knocked off in the game- but I wish that SOMEONE would come to the table with a treatment sort of plan.

This is really hard! How do you encourage some parameters and still allow for creativity?

I know Michael, this is hard. I don't have answers right now. I think we all are trying in our own way though- it might not seem that way, but I think we are.

It's very simple.  The context is this.

The object of this game is to end up as the sole survivor.  In order to survive you’ll need to be clever and ruthless, you’ll need to kill all the characters on board the S.S. Craven before they kill you.

You do this by creating engaging characters and writing engaging scenes.

Quoted from How to Play

Dr. Bert Newcomer also has a special ability and you can decide if he gets to use it. He can resurrect one character during his first turn. However, he can only resurrect this character if he is still alive. If you think you’ll be one of the first to go and you want a second chance at life then keep Dr. Newcomer around.  Or perhaps you think differently…

Wow! Excellent turn Gary.

Nic is up next and I hope he's flexible - with all these twists and turns - otherwise he might break and that could be rather messy.

The tracksheet has been updated and the emails have been sent.  All we gotta do now is wait.

Way to go Nick, that was quick (and it even rhymes).   Looks like you got a little double-edged romance going on there.  Well, don't run with scissors - that's what I always say.

Next up is Yohn.  Yohn is a bit of a mystery man - introduced late and taking a late turn in the round.

I'm thinking he might be another 24hr wait situation because I haven't heard from him but you never know - he came in last minute with his description.  If he doesn't show in 24hrs we will ghostwrite him because it's too close to the end of the first round to postpone.

It was a very productive day anyway.

EDIT: Heard from Yohn.  He's on the case.

Cheers,

Two posts after mine already, wow that's quick.  Things are moving along nicely. Sandra's got some reservations about where this is going but I think it's going fine. You're not gonna get a roadmap script when each writer has no restrictions on where they can go other than perhaps killing someone.

I have to say that keeping track is getting hard though and I'm glad you included the tracking sheet Michael.

I seem to have introduced a strange number into the story, 86. A bit like Lost maybe? lol.

Can't wait for Yohn to write his scene.

Thanks for faking my death on the boat Nic. (that's how I interpreted). lol. I'm curious with the relationship I have with Orange.

GM, interesting scene. That was funny.

I think we should keep the number and someone else should use it. Since 86 means to get rid of someone or something, if we see the number, we know that danger is really close.

Sandra = It's easy to get behind if you don't check in regularly   I just got all caught up.  I enjoyed the new posts.

I want to go back just a little bit...and I'm not trying to be mean...but I rather want to add my 2 cents regarding Sandra's post in hopes that it will help.

Sandra...I think the simple object of this screenwriting exercise is to kill or be killed while developing characters...In addition scenes should somewhat connect.  I found myself cruising along on this crazy ride and practically found myself knocked out of my seat...  What you added made it hard to find a way out of that maze. I did understand a little better what you were going for AFTER you explained it...but without the insight of getting into your brain...I was completely lost.

With everyone going two directions (A, B) in their personalities, adding clones, etc.  It simply just muddied the water way too much...at least for me.

We want to develop the characters and when our scene calls for murder...then let it be spilled...simple as that.

~m~

I really liked GM's scene. I'm wondering why Patrick's dreaming of Sandra. What is the connection there? He must know her. Again, why do people know each other?

We're left to wonder still whether Cornetto is dead or alive even though we see him dead on the track sheet. With GM's excellent dialogue of:

Bert
It's ok, you got him. He's in my room.

We are still left to wonder. Something indeed is very strange. What on earth is happening?

Maybe the answer to why Patrick jumped over board, has something to do with this from his Character background:

Patrick still watches the passengers eat, one seems to be getting much more of his attention than the rest. He drops a glass with a SMASH, the sound is hidden by the noises from the passengers, only one or two seem to notice. Patrick stares at the unseen person in the dining room, he looks like he has seen a ghost.

Clearly, Patrick is staring at an unseen person. An unseen person could be a ghost. Or perhaps some kind of clone type of creature that is able to camouflage like in in Predator and is on the ship.

My character is not alive.  If you look at the tracksheet you will clearly see Captain Cornetto has a No in the alive column.  This means the character is dead.  The only character that has the ability to change this is bert and he may only use this ability on the last turn of the first round.

As mentioned earlier, our Captain is dead...if Bert our fine doctor is going to bring him back...then he will be doing that soon as I believe MC said we are nearing the end of the first round (that is to say - everyone has had a chance to write a scene).

Hope that helps Sandra.

Maybe there's a pack of Predator clones onboard also?

Where are all these clones hiding? The ship isn't that big.

If these creatures were "blinking" in and out- just materializing, that would be a possibility, but I'm not sure though if these "things" would be classed as breaching the rules of introducing characters.

I'm thinking of it as being perhaps energy. Ghost like energy and that's what Patrick might have saw, but I'm just playing with ideas.

Why complicate things to the point where people/readers get confused and lose interest?

Bert is the only one that can resurrect people and he can only do it once.

We are not allowed to introduce new characters, so why muddle this up with clones?

I love you Sandra, but let's keep this simple.

The suspense is killing me. The natives are restless. As we near the end of the first round, Yohn is hopefully about to add one to the total kills.  Who will it be?

The tension is so thick aboard the SS Attack of the Clones, I mean, the SS Craven that you can almost cut it with a knife.  I wonder if someone will.

Nik, I was just looking again at your scene and I'm keen on interest for your creation of this room on the ship with all these gruesome pictures.

Where is this room? I think it's important.

The dialogue here was especially intriguing:

NIC
Why does everyone stare at my camera and not at me?  Nothing good comes from this camera. Just, murdered people. Dead things.

The red lit room was really good I think.

Yohn that made me laugh so hard I nearly peed my pants.  Well done.  And such a suspenseful ending too.  Perfect segue for my announcement.

We are skipping Blakkwolfe's turn.  The next turn is the good Dr. Bert.  Who knows what he's going to do - those mad scientist types are so unpredictable.

I have studied each post and every character very carefully.

I have big plans for some of you, and I am a big fan of the cliffhanger.  Whoever follows after me will need to put on their thinking caps.

I will try to have something up by morning -- and I can (almost) guarantee you will not see the end coming...

I really loved the work Yohn did with Nic and Dana's character.

When he comes at Dana with a pizza cutter and we expect one thing and we're bammed twice:

Once, when Dana says: A pizza cutter... are you shitting me?!

That was a good bam!

And then secondly,

When we're caught in this mind track and suddenly,

A gun fires and blows Nic all the way to our lovely little gathering above it all.

Bam again!

Redrum! Redrum!

Fantastic work!

ME ~ but I must stop now.  Your cholesterol is so high. I must think of my health.

This is a really funny.

Your Swedish, does it translate as?: My dear captain, I'm sorry, but I had to. I was hungry.

A funny ending Pia.

Nice writing Orange.

Great montagé Mr Ripley.

Sandra, love the line ~ ...induces people into hysterical laughter...

Love your writing Sandra.

Alffy, thought your line ~ Who are you, and what's wrong with your face?  Was pretty funny.

Good work GM bringing in the scene regarding zadora holding cornetto.

I thought your Patrick verses Sandra's breasts to be amusing.

Interesting conclusion Nik.

Wonderful writing Yohn, really entertaining.  Quite a few laughs were in there.

I must say Cornetto, this is turning out to be an interesting magical ride I'm going on.

Who's up next?

I must say Captain that I was highly skeptical of this idea when you first raised it but fair play to you for sticking with it and getting it up and running. It is highly entertaining, well done.

I loved your post Yohn, very funny and very clever. Managing to get yourself a kill on the board without being a killer is a bit genius.

I did feel a little sorry for Cornetto getting to meet his maker so early in the story so obviously have tried to put him in a position where he could be brought back by the doctor, at least our three corpses all now have an equal chance of being resurrected. Although judging by Bert's last comment maybe we can't assume anything. I am looking forward to Bert's contribution.

That's funny Yohn. Great scene. Nic's character as you portrayed him reminded me of the film titled Peeping Tom. I'm not sure if that was your influence, just wanted to mention it.
Now, on to Bert, is Cornetto coming back alive?

That's what I want to know. I think we've all tried desperately to keep Cornetto alive even though he's dead! It's as plain as day on the track sheet, but why can't we go with it?!

I love it!

Well, it appears that he is only captain on board to sail the boat. If we lose him, we're history. I didn't mind doing that, but I didn't want to be responsible of actually doing it. lol.

And according to the rules, Dr. Bert can bring back someone. Basically that's the answer

Okay...but here's the big chess move...the object of the game is to kill or be killed and to be the sole survivor on the ship. When it gets down to the end...it won't be the good captain and you...it better be you and chances are none of us can drive the boat...so that's not a logical thought to keep the captian alive...now is it. =))

Now me...I know Cornetto VERY well...we do have a history...he broke my fricken heart and he has children he doesn't know about...two twins! lol

Okay...okay...now who's been smokin what? *wink*

I love words and the fact that when the page is blank...there's nothing there until words are formulated in my brain. Those thoughts...rushing through my viens and out my finger tips, find "life" on the page.

When people and places come to life...that to me is exciting.

This is indeed an exciting thing we have here. With every new entry i'm left on my seat wondering what will happen next.

I agree Dana! What a lovely game for Halloween! It may be November, but I'm still in stasis on October 31st!

Thanks everyone for making this and exciting cruise!!!!

I keep seeing Alffy dropping pills into booze bottles while the "Dream" song plays.

I'd love to see him in a scene with his 86's!

This is a really good post!!! Although I haven't really been playing the "kill or be killed module" - but I think this comes at the PERFECT time!

So Michael's got to die?!!!

Ooooh MBCgirl- you are wicked!!! More so then Zadora I think!

I love you both so much!!!!

In my next life I'm going to track down my husband and make him dance!!! I told him that yesterday...

"We didn't bloody-well dance enough in our lifetime here this go around..."

So can someone please construct a scene of laughter and dancing and death?

Laughter and dancing and death?

Holey moley!

Sandra

I know we are not supposed to take more than one post, but I got very frustrated tyring to cut enough to make it fit -- I have no idea what the maximum is.

But given that it was just a little bit more -- and the direction I took -- I thought I might be entitled to just a bit more.

Woah!  I think Dr. Bert just raised the bar.  And I'm next, so I better start stretching.

And Bert, I don't think anyones gonna complain about the extra post.

I'll update the tracksheet.  But then I'm gonna be quiet for a while.

Please note that those things are only implied

We know there is something odd about Zadora -- but she is not necessarily a vampire.

And while I toyed with the idea of having Cornetto munch onto my neck, he did not.

Cornetto is not necessarily a traditional zombie.  Just something weird that happened when Alffy messed with Sandra's....whatever it is.

Others will have to decide what is really going on.

LOL Orange!

Tracksheet is updated.  The second round has begun.

Congrats to all of you for getting us this far into the game. The game wouldn't be what it is without each and every one of you.  You've all done an excellent job and I look forward to seeing the killer ending we produce.

I better go write now.

Cheers,

Michael

Bert, great post there but very confused as to why you have killed your own character. Is that not contrary to the aim of the game? Otherwise I may have misunderstood the rules.

It isn't against the rules to kill your own character.

Uh oh, my character is getting some lip action...sweeeet. lol.

Such an interesting turn of events.

Haha now i hope Michael won't let you kill me -- it would break my heart

Quoted from Sandra.E
Nik, I was just looking again at your scene and I'm keen on interest for your creation of this room on the ship with all these gruesome pictures.

Where is this room? I think it's important.

The dialogue here was especially intriguing:

NIC
Why does everyone stare at my camera and not at me?  Nothing good comes from this camera. Just, murdered people. Dead things.

The red lit room was really good I think.

Sandra

Thanks Sandra. You have to know my room is different from the others hehe. Not sure where it is, but if you want a photo session i'm ok with it
