If you're like me, you have plenty of ideas running through your head.  Too many to ever write - some you know you're never going to get to.  Still you would like to see them written.  Well, here's a thread for you to put that idea in the hopes that someone else will pick it up and pen it.

Anyone is welcome to use the ideas in this thread.  If you decide to pick up an idea from this thread, you should, but don't have to, credit the originator with and "Original idea by"  credit.

By posting in this thread you give an author the right to use your idea in any way they want. This does not stop you from using it yourself, if you change your mind about it.

I'll start....Hmmm....tougher than I thought.

THE KING - SCI FI
--------------------

In a feudal universe, the King of a large space empire has no wars left to be fought.  He returns home as a hero and with one goal in mind.  Rule his kingdom, whip it into shape.

The rulers that he left in his place while he was off fighting wars and the people of the kingdom soon grow tired of their "active" King.  They devise a plan to send the King off on a quest, one that will keep the King busy and off the planet for years to come.

The King falls for it and leaves - much to the relief of everyone on the planet.  As they years pass they forget about the King and their kingdom lapses into a democracy.

But then, far away, the King hears about it. He returns to his home planet but when he gets there no one will let him land.  So he does what he is trained to do, he fights a war and wins his planet back.

-----------------------------

That's it. You are welcome to use the above idea if you like.

Hopefully this won't be the only post in this thread.

Attack of the Giant Hairy Creature -

A giant, hairy creature attacks. Where did it come from?  How will we stop it?  Will anyone survive?

Please feel free to use this idea, but I defintely want credit for the concept.  You're welcome in advance.

Pia, I think you're OK with your idea.  You don't have to give me credit. Now, if there was only 1 giant hairy creature attacking, then we'd have an issue here, but since, in theory, you have lots of these giant hairy creatures, I'll let it go this time.

Can't wait to read it.  I assume you'll have another 50 pages done by tonight, right?

I was serious about the roach script. I am at page 50. Hope to reach the end soon, but not tonight. Also working on Big Bad Wolf feature and of course the reality show. Hey, I sound pretty busy! Maybe I should get going here.

Nothing wrong with a good roach script or being busy.  Go to it, Pia!

Pia has a roach script, and I have a mosquito script I'm working on. Does that mean we're both buggy?

I'll steal this idea in a second except the hairy creatures are Ron Jeremy clones.

I can't post any of my ideas that I'm not using cause they are all elaborate and only I would enjoy them.

Speaking of Ron Jeremy...anyone see One Eyed Monster?  Interesting flick...horror/comedy that's played straight for the most part.  Pretty funny.

Cindy and Pia are defintely buggy.  Maybe I'll have to start on a Mantis script.

Two convicts are chained together when they excape prision. One black leader of the black panthers, the other a white supreamist for the for the KKK.

The only way to get the chains knocked off is to go to one or the others camp to hide.

should be the feel good movie of 2009.

A man with all the ideas in the world enters a deadly game show as a contestant... For every question he gets wrong he has to give one of his multi million dollar ideas away.

------

Feel free to use it. "shakes head"

Giving away your ideas as a writer is like an Olympic track runner cutting his foot off before the big race.

If you have absolutely no use for an idea and you think someone else could do it some justice, why not?

Me, I'm very particular and have only let one person really touch my ideas and people loved the outcome of that.

Obviously sometimes the end result in writing something based on someone elses idea is bad and a waste of time but sometimes it does something for you.

I've written a re-imagining of a horror script based on a friends original script and it turned out horribly short so it doesn't exist anywhere but in my folder. The other thing that I co wrote based on someone elses idea turned out well and was enjoyed in the short section before falling down to page 50 haha

I have a lot of ideas written down, but I'm saving the best for myself in the future

Return of the Sausage: A group of friends work in a sausage factory, one day they get bored and begin to mess around and sneak into the bosses room. Alone and asleep in his old leather chair, they tie him down with sellotape, then they open his mouth and push as many sausages in there as possible, they run off laughing but later find out he choked to death. Now whenever they encounter a sausage, the ghost of the boss returns for revenge.

Tag line: Be careful where you stick that sausage, it might just kill you!

Credit would be nice lol Enjoy!
