TV SERIES BIBLE

I'm looking for writers to help me develop my first pilot script.

I have some problems uploading the First 10 pages.  PM me and I'll send you a copy.

Genre
Youth Adult Science Fiction Drama

Possible show titles

Sunken City (only authentic sunken city in the Western Hemisphere)
The Lost City
Underwater City
The City that Sank

Port Royal

Port Royal's turbulent past

1750 - destroyed by fire
1692 - earthquake,  2/3rds of town submerged under water.
1703 - town burned to the ground
1722 and 1744 - hurricanes obliterated town.
1770 - earthquake destroyed hospital.
1815 - fire, town burned to the ground.
1907 - earthquake, extensively damaged Victoria Battery.
1951 - hurricane (left only 4 buildings standing).

Themes

1)                 Doomed City

a) This theme is embodied by a religious cult that espouse the view that Port Royal of today shares similar traits to the wicked and sinful city of Port Royal of past and as such God will destroy the city once again and this time completely in one major earthquake.  Lead by a charismatic leader by the name of Abogani it soon becomes apparent this cult has ulterior and more sinister motives.  The cult is eventually going to attempt to assassinate wealthy businessman Massimo Machobelli, a controversial, dynamic but tainted and dangerous figure in the eco town of Port Royal.  It is believed Massimo ordered the assassination of Abogani's entire family years ago.

b) This theme is also embodied by the dangerous paranormal and supernatural activities that begin to happen in Port Royal.

2)     Ugly Side of Commercialism and Capitalism

a)     Port Royal's history is glaringly and unashamedly exploited for material gain.  The man at the center of it all is controversial and dynamic businessman Massimo Machobelli a name and face splashed across billboards, newspapers, magazines etc.  He owns two major money making entities - the Sunken City Museum and the Earthquake Theme Park in addition to organizing the yearly Pirate Parades.  Old Port Royal is filled with shops and restaurants while in New Port Royal there are a lot of casinos, nightclubs and bars.  Port Royal has become a place to exploit for material gain with everyone wanting to cash in on the city.

b)     Sin City/ Wicked City.  Dangerous underworld of the drugs trade, violence, gang culture, prostitution, gambling, drunkeness, crime, theft, arson, kidnapping, robbery accompanying the rebuilding of the city.

(i)     Gang culture - Black Spider Gang led by Fonzie.

3)     Forbidden Love.

a)     Baldo and Octavia.  Baldo being in love with Octavia, a girl of starkly contrasting social class and upbringing than his own.

4)     Sense of Belonging

a)     New girl at school 15 year old Electra has a hard time fitting in.  Despite her friendship with Sakeena she is bullied by the popular girls who are threatenned by her beauty and talent which makes her time at school very unhappy.

Baldo and Electra are eventually drawn to each other.

Archaeological Excavations

1st excavation - Edwin Link in 1959
2nd excavation - Robert Marx 1965 - 1967
3rd excavation - Donny Hamilton 1981 - 1990.
