Thanks for reading, Tomson. I appreciate it as always.

I want to start out by saying, though it was very funny to read all the "characters" from Simply Scripts, I did not for a second take any of the characters personas in the script as an indication of how you might perceive us in real life (even if just online). If I had you would have received a complaint from me for making me such a bore.

Yeah, this would have worked out totally different if I made an attempt to "know" people better in the script. As it was, it was everyone playing a part, although I did try to match some people up to their "Godfather" personalities, and I hit the mark on some of them in that you can "see" them acting this way, even if just from the online personas. That is some, not all, of course (respects paid to Breanne). In retrospect, I could have reached beyond the "boy movie" aspect and cast some of the female regulars in the male roles. But I think I didn't want anyone to think I was confused about who is male and who is female.

Quoted from tomson
That leads me to an off topic question, but maybe you'd know the answer. I know a lot of the produced scripts here at SS are transcripts, my question is, when you by them are they actual copies of the real scripts? I hope so, because I've bought a bunch of them over the years. I'd like to think that I'm reading something the way the author actually penned it.

To this, there is no way of actually knowing. When a script is put into production, copies are made of it and possibly copies of those copies which is one way the public gets ahold of it. This copy of a copy is retyped, which is often how it ends up online unless the holder of the script scans it. When you buy a script from Amazon, it would be an official reproduction authorized by the original studio. If you buy one off of eBay from an individual, there's no telling. The eBayer could have downloaded it from here, tweaked it into proper format, and resold it. However, in most cases, if it is in proper format or something close to it, it's usually the way the author wrote it...but not always. I actually altered some of this script to be in proper format since most of the slugs were written as "INT DAY: DON CORLEONE'S OFFICE." Those are my opinions on this, and I don't know 100%.

You did an amazing job here weaving your story into the original. Very clever and funny too. I'm totally blown away that it only took you one month (I think I read somewhere).

Something like that. What I typically do is bang something out real quick and then sit on it for awhile while I mess with it before posting it.

Quoted from tomson
You continue to impress me and I must admit that instead of just one pedestal with my favorite unproduced writer I now have two. The pedestal next to hers is yours. The only picture I have of you is a mugshot of Ted Kazcynski, oh well..

Now I know my own mug is elsewhere in that thread... Thanks for the warm fuzzies. I'm honored you think that way of what I've done.

Quoted from tomson
I should read more of the really great stuff that is out there than reading things like "The Cabin". I will not hesitate to read anything of yours, if I'm lucky something good might rub off on me.

Wow, thanks. God knows I've got enough on here to keep anyone busy for an eternity. And it's ok to read The Cabin every once in awhile. After all, you've gotta know what's bad, so you know what not to do. I watch bad movies for just that reason. As I'm sitting there shaking my head as the third idiot walks into someone else's house in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, I know they'll be killed. Why? It's Texas, and they're breaking and entering... I keep harping on that.

Thanks again, Tomson. Whatever you post, I'll continue to read. I worked through 7 scripts yesterday. I may post a lot, but it's the exchanges that kill me.

Hey George,

I started reading this a while ago but didn't get far, so I've picked it back up.  Here are some of the notes and stuff as I read.

*Helio's opening, though dramatic, is absolutely hilarious.
*I'm digging everybody's introductions!  Tomson and Phil married, Ben Bigwhoop, Breanne the Maid of Honor...splendid.
*Banana and Alan..so fitting.
*"I'm not rich anymore, Godfather, and...my career, I'm almost washed up..." That is so like Shelton
*Kevin Revie Gardens hahaha
*All of his guys are Stifler! Ha!

I just got to the part where Revie finds Paris Hilton's head in his bed and I'm gonna stop there for now.  I'll finish this up and get review out...shortly.

Be excellent to each other
