~SPOILERS~

- I love the feel for the script. It's unlike anything written on here and it definitly is a notch up from anything else.
- Okay so i'm married to Andy. Great. haha.
- So far everyone is introduced nicely and they all bring there own little style to the script and i like that.
- Okay so is Banana a real person on here or am i missing something?
- I got dimples!!!!!!! Shit. haha.
- And now i have peach fuzz. This is getting a little sexual now isent it?
- Hold up so Andy is rich with money. Well of course i will marry you Andy   hahaha.
- Wow George. For thinking of all this i see how creative you really are. All these stories and what's going on is very creative. Good job.
- I wasn't too fond of Mike's character. Something just seemed missing from his character. I don't know what it is but yeah.
- You say Wesley looks like any young Mod on a trip. Well describe this a little more. What is he wearing? Does anyone around him have any reactions towards him?
- Hot damn! I was right. This is getting sexual.
- What are Zoetropes? Or will i find out later in the script? Or have i missed what they were?
- Alan and Banana are going to New Hampshire. You tell us this but you do not show it. Maybe show some people talking about it or something.
- Hahahaha. Stifler is there. Gave me a good laugh to see that name once again.
- Ahhhhhh. More Stiflers. I'm cracking up here.
- AHHHHHHH! More Stiflers!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Paris Hilton.
- A murder. Now this is getting interesting.

So far i am 32 pages into your script and it has it's reasons to have me continue reading it. Usually once i am 30 pages in the script i stop and make some comments about what i have read. So far your script is unique and different but i think it could use more action. I know it's building up characters and what not but someparts of it are just dull. Yes i said it dull.

But that's not a bad thing. It keeps me reading. And i enjoy reading it. I just think some of the dull parts should be changed. Like some of your dialouge goes on forever. Have someone interject or something while someone is talking. Now back to the script.

- Well we have Don being killed. This is starting to be cliched but he is the godfather in this script. And the godfather must get shot. haha.
- Now this is getting exciting and it's all going by fast. Really enjoyable now.
- Some of the action parts seem to go on forever and i think you could touch it up a little and make them smaller. It could help the length of the script. Yes it is long but most of this does seem important and it is enjoyable.
- And i have seen NO spelling errors at all so far. Good work.

I'm done taking little side notes and i'll tell you what i think of it overall.

After page 52 i started to read and enjoyed it as much as i enjoyed when i left off. But as i got more and more the same thing happened that happened in the beginning. It got slow and what not. I've seen the Godfather and i know it's a slow movie so there wasn't much that you could do with it.

EACH and every one of your characters are fleshed out nicely and i can picture everything you write. You are a fantastic writer George and one of the best on this site i believe. And you also have great ideas... i mean who else would of thought of this!

I think now you should work on your own though. I really wanna see an original idea from you. I'm not saying i didn't like this, i loved it but i wanna see what else you can whip up. This is definitly a good add to the SS library and i still see many many more SS scripts in the future. I can even bet someone will do this with a horror movie in the future. I know it. I really do. Haha.

Alan and the Banana are a great duo and now since i know the significance of it i laugh every time they come along in your script. I don't think you left out one person on here and that is amazing to do. Everyone should be happy if they can take the time and read it like i did. In the end it was worth it and i'm glad i took my time to read it.

Some of the dialouge lagged but that can always be fixed. I mean all scripts/movies have dialouge that is messed up or lagged ya know? And i have still not found A SINGLE spelling error in this. I am amazed at this. 160 pages and i noticed not one error. That should deserve an award for you all alone.

And i beat up Andy? I would never hit a girl jeez. But i get beat up for it so it's all good. I derserved it. And just a little question... Andy tells me not to be a recluse... is that a little script reference you threw in there for me. hmm? And i'm a fucking dick. hot damn! Punching pregnant wives. Haha. At least i have the decency to ask her to make me food.

Ba Fa Goule? Did i miss something? Okay now i know your making script reference for me. Actually there are many from everyone. I like it.

Well as we get closer to the end the speed picks up again and it doesnt stop until the end. Amazing script George and you got a 10/10 on it. Be proud of this. I'm proud of you. And damn... i had to die.

Andrew

Wow! Simply The Godfather! I was expecting something big but not this big. It'll take me a while to read this considering the length and I have another script to read before this but when I'm done, I'll be sure to check this out.

Well, Andrew, I'm glad you're enjoying it so far. I can't take a whole lot of credit for everything that goes on in here since a good deal of it is the fault of Francis Ford Coppola and Mario Puzo. At first glance, it might look like all I did was change the names in the script and that's it, but upon closer examination, you'll find a lot of the dialogue is changed as well as some locations, and some situations. In other wods, I tweaked it A LOT. you can't just watch the original and do a name or line subsitution here and there.

However, I did leave a lot of the poorly written description that occasionally tells more thanit shows and occasionally doesn't tell enough. I corrected a lot of it, but some of it, I just figured "This is for fun" and left it alone.

This is partly a parody of The Godfather (obviously) so as a result, I have everyone playing roles that may not necessarily match their normal demeanor...although some might come close. It is a bit on the long side, but I hope you enjoy it anyway. I will say that as I was doing my re-readings that I thought it moved kind of fast and I got a kick out of it. Then again, I know both stories fairly well (The Godtfather and my revamp of it).

Obviously, I'm not necessarily looking for feedback is so much as everyone just enjoying the read. And to answer the inevitable, I considered adapting Part II, but I'm not sure it would work as well since it's a much, much different story.

The following people were unfortunate enough to appear in this script.

Don (as Don Admin)
Alan Holman
Dogglebe (as Phil Dogglebe)
Heretic
Wesley (as Steven Wesley)
The Goose
Kevin Revie
Greg (as Greg The Doc)
Alfred Hitchcock
Bert
Andy Petrou
Andrew Romance
Topher (as Ziggy Topher)
Mike Shelton
CindyLKeller (as Mama Cindy)
Dr. Mabuse
R.E. Freak
Helio
Kevan (as Kevan Craft)
George Willson
Bigwhoop (as Ben Bigwhoop)
LesleyLJ21 (as Lesley)
Breanne (as Breanne Holifield)
Tomson
Impulse
Big Bad Brian
American SyCo
Tony Tuff Nutz
Higgonaitor
James McClung
The ImagiNation
Wolfsfang
SfPunk
Takeshi
MacDuff
Ice Rose
FilmMaker 06/CH Harris/Jesus Freak/Third Day/Rapture
Nixon
The Dead Walk 2 Nite
Balt
Jerdol
Iron Peace

The following people are mentioned:

E.T.
Paradoxical Shaman
NWO133 (aka Maurice L. Brown "The Chosen One")

Hope you all enjoy it. And Andrew, I hope you finish it. Those dull parts will eventually pan out to somthing interesting. I will say that the first time I watched The Godfather, I was bored too. But it's one of those things that grows on you after awhile.

Oh, and Banana Chan is the brain child of Alan Holman. For awhle, he would pimp his Anime series on EVERY SINGLE THREAD HE TOUCHED! I thought it only appropriate he marry his own creation.

Just so I'm clear -- you actually took the script for Godfather, then went into it and fiddled around with the individual scenes -- so that this will actually be pretty true to the source material?

That is, if we read this, we are actually reading -- to some extent -- the words of Coppola and Puzo...and Willson?

That's a pretty nifty idea.  Maybe not worthy of a sequel, but very nifty indeed.  Just wanted to make sure I understood correctly before jumping into 160+ pages.

This is exactly what I did. Most of the scenes play out exactly as they originally did, but what I've done is change the characters and context so that instead of a war between families, we get a war between domains. Instead of consigliaris, we get moderators. Instead of the Corleone family, we get SimplyScripts members who act like family. Instead of someone proposing that the Corleone family get into the drug business, we get  someone proposing that SimplyScripts get into the fiction business.

That sort of thing. I think it's fun.

Helio opens and I do hope his speech sets the warped tone for the whole thing.

I tried to place a script reference for every single person I put in it (if I knew of a script they did). Yes, The Recluse was a reference for you. Ba Fa Goule was a line already there. I imagine it's italian cursing or something. I probably should have changed it to something amusing. I may still do so.

Oh, and I wish I could have included everyone, but as I was writing, I discovered some more people I couldn't put in. I was bummed and considered adapting the sequel just to get everyone else, but like I said, it's a totally different story, and this is long enough by itself.

Glad you enjoyed it, Andrew, and no worries...I am polishing something original.

You've done great things to and for me with this script; on this, the eve of my 25th birthday ... which is April 19th, by the way, the same day when the FINAL DRAFT of Banana Chan will be online for all to see.

-I missed FAMILY GUY for this one ... ON PURPOSE!  NOTHING makes me miss new FAMILY GUY episodes on FOX each Sunday night! ... until THIS SCRIPT came along!  Because, THIS IS THE BRILLIANTERIFFICEST MOVIE SCRIPT ON SIMPLY! (The brillianterificest TV scripts are the Banana Chan series.)
-"The Zoetropes" "domains" "the hitch" ... priceless.
-You got aspects of Banana's personality wrong ... but that makes it sort of like watching a sitcom like Seinfeld or Cosby, in which people use their real names but they play slightly different personas, and that's always cool, so that's one of many things which makes this script awesome
-The "prince" aspect of my character reminds me of when I played Malcolm in a local production of MacBeth ... I'm an actor.
-"... and we put all the tanuki out on the street." LMFAO!!!!

Too much to comment on ... too much inspiration to do other things.  I love this script, George!

Alan, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the compliments. You are correct in that all of this is basically people playing roles that may not reflect who they really are. As Andrew already mentioned, he wouldn't actually beat Andy.

Tomson, happy reading.

George,
What a story about our family here at simplyscripts.   Ma Ma Cindy

SPOILERS

I like how you etched our members into the Godfather story. Let another site mess with us! LOL
I can tell you put a lot of thought and work into this. I enjoyed the story immensly.

Things that I especially liked:
Paris Hilton loosing her head.
Lesley Wesley. That's cute.
Bacon-not-ham friend.
Andy's baby's name.
Impulse's tongue of speech.
When the tanuki threw the ball to the children... My goodness!
CH Harris (formerly fimmaker 06)
Jesus Freak (formerly CH Harris)
Third Day (formerly Jesus Freak)
Rapture (formerly Third Day) ... LMAO

A line on page ten had me scratch my head... Andy slips one of her hands is slid under his jacket. A line you had gone over and changed part of. I've done this, too.
You forgot the "n" in children on page 95, too, but for all those pages that's all I found.

This was a good read.

George, I'm just strarting to read this.

It actually gave me quite a scare to see that you were doing a redention of the Godfather story because I was just  in the bathroom thinking, somebody should do a simplyscripter redention of Apocaplyse Now WRitten by Francis Ford Copolla and John Milius as well as being based of the book Hearts of Darkness and title the script Threads of Darkness. I will  be reading this today though.

Cindy, glad you enjoyed it. Can't get enough of those warm, fuzzy comments. Thanks for catching some typos. I blame the Zoetropes, but I fixed them anyway.

One of my faves is the conversation near the beginning between Don and Bigwhoop about "the boy from Sicily"... I read that just now when I corrected one of the typos, and I still laughed.

Tony, I hope you get a kick out of your role and partner in this one. And if someone wants to mess with Apocalypse Now, it would have to be someone else. I finally finished something of my own again recently, and I need to do more of that...get myself off of everyone else's call list for awhile.

"Your pacing, it be good, but the
plot have many holes."

Hahaha. Very funny script. Very clever. George, I found the descriptions well written. I did spot a few minor errors, except I can't really remember. I'm amazed you did your own take on almost every single thing from the godfather.

I love how you even add in Francis Ford Coppola's name and his production company Zoetrope. A great homage.

Glad you enjoyed the script, Tony. I think in the line you quoted in the original, the character sings a bit of the Star Spangled Banner. Had to be adapted.

I spent a good month on rewriting this thing and then going back over and back over various aspects of it. That out of country bit with you in it was an especially big pain since it was outside of the rest of the story's regular environment. You wouldn't believe how many different place names I went through.

Thanks again for the comments.

Boy, is this good.  It should be required reading.

Your "reworking" is virtually seamless -- and it's not so much that this is funny -- and it is that -- but this goes beyond that somehow -- into the realm of performance art or something.

What is really cool to me is how I have now -- for all intents and purposes -- read the script for Godfather.  I had not read this before, and I now have a much better understanding of the film, and who was who in this very complex story.  Frankly, it was much, much easier for me to keep up with the characters this way.

But what really struck me was how some of the scenes I was really anticipating -- deaths and so forth that I suspect you left largely untouched -- were really quite unexceptional on the page.  Perfunctory, even.  That in and of itself was an education of sorts -- about the importance of the story as a whole -- and about the power and vision of a truly great director.

I was wishing for a larger role for myself, until later, when it became clear why I had been placed as such.  My ultimate demise was a personal favorite -- although I am sure everyone will have their own favorite.

I would nitpick that perhaps Mabuse's script should have been used as fish-wrap -- preserving a bit more of the original flavor of one of my favorite scenes.

I still think you are totally nuts for tackling such a weird project, but I must concede that this is a truly exceptional piece of work.  There are several reasons that people should read this -- be they newbie or vet.  Good job.

Thanks for the comments, Bert. I like that you enjoyed the script and think highly of the changes I made to the original. I did leave most of the deaths untouched, since there wasn't much I could add to them. I played with the idea of them being just banned and gone, but I thought some of the extremist humor of the locale would be lost.

As for Mabuse's script and the "Sicilian message" that was in the original, I dunno. The original line was that he "sleeps with the fishes" hence the fish reference. I thought wrapping the script would fit better in context, although wrapping the fish in the script would work as well.

And yeah, I'm often nuts, but it's time to write something of my own again. I've been lazy writing for everyone else the last few months.

Do you think the fact that I'm not a fan of Godfather, the film was okay but I'm still not the biggest fan impact the reading of this screenplay? Will I feel the same way I felt after watching the film?

I know it uses us but if it is as your title page says 'Ripped off from.."

My hope is that whether you like the Godfather or not, you'll find this little parody relatable enough to be able to read and enjoy. That's the hope, but we'll have to see if the practice works out.

Hi George, I read until now 65 pages of it. whe the goose hisdt Alan in the Hospital. I'm enjoying the reading. It is a nice experiment, and a pleasant execise. Some parts is very funny, others are mixed with serious part of the true script. You did well you work, man!

I'll continue reading it with the little time I've had in this moment of my life. By the way thanks for to open this great exercise, George.

Just in time I found a problem in this script: Sorry I don't know our SS fellas real faces and it makes me so confuse about to think them with Pacino's, Brando's  faces etc

It's a curse of the parody. I don't know everyone's face really either, so I just read it like I do a book. Just picture whatever. If it helps to picture Don as Marlon Brando...so be it.

Tanuki everywhere, man!  So many Tanuki!  I'm reading various parts over again.  Sometimes I read it as if I'm practicing to act it.  Other times I read it to let loose and laugh so hard I cry.  This is TOO good.

Well, we'd kinda need permission from American Zoetrope to film it because so much of the original is still intact. Otherwise, we'd be sued...

Love the idea, though. Thanks...and your pic in your sig does look a little like Al Pacino...weird.

I'm a few pages from halfway through and I have to say I'm enjoying this a lot so far. I must admit I'm not the biggest fan of the Godfather though. When I saw it for the first time, I enjoyed it up to the resturaunt scene, which I thought was the end of the film, but then it lagged on for another hour or two. I honestly found it tedious but that's not the case here. This is a very entertaining read but also fits with the events of the film extremely well.

In particular, I like what you've done with the Tanukis and Alfred Hitchcock's character. The references to Triggerstreet are amusing as well. The heighlight for me though was definitely Paris Hilton's severed head. Nice!

Anyway, so far, so good. More later...

Our friend, Mr. Revie had a thing for Ms. Hilton, and several threads got locked over discussions of her and her antics. This isn't the first time we've stuck Mr. Revie and Ms. Hilton in the same sketch. Kevin is still on the boards from time to time, and he apparently has either a great sense of humor or never reads any of these.

I am happy you're enjoying it so far. And as for The Godfather, yeah, I about fell asleep the first time through it. It's one of those films that is more appreciable after multiple viewings so you have a clue of what's going on. Who knows, maybe this will help enjoy the classic better. It's helped me understand it a lot.

I prefer shows like that.  You can actually learn things from shows like that.  On a related story, I did not like THE SOPRANOS at all until near the end of episode four.  Then I re-watched the first few episodes, and enjoyed them COMPLETELY.  I've seen all of seasons one-to-four, but I haven't seen season five ... or any of the new season six.

Well, George, The Godfather is one of my all time favourite movies so I just had to give this a read. I still think you're insane for doing this though

I'm up to the part where I 'sleep with the fishes'.

You've made some inspired choices with the characters, especially Mike (although obvious), Phil, and Kevin Revie. I love how the horse's head is Paris Hilton haha.

Trading the families with rival domains is a great idea. And, yes, I do have dealings with the Zoetropes.

I'll read the rest when I have some time. Good stuff so far.

Thanks for the compliments so far, Dr. Mabuse. I hope you enjoy the rest of the story when you get to the rest of it. And I pretty well have to be insane. Look at the career path I'm trying to follow...

Mike was obvious and I had him and Kevin in mind for their parts from the beginning. I didn't realize how well Phil worked in his character until after I got into it. I also think Wesley is appropriate in his position.

And yes, Alan, rewatchable movies rock. Sometimes, knowing what is going on can enhance the experience so that instead of trying to figure things out, you are just enjoying the ride. This is especially true in films like The Godfather where there are a ton of characters, and the first time, you're just trying to keep up with the plot. Repeated viewings allow you to focus on the characters and their interrelationships.

Kinda cool.

Mike was obvious.

Of course it was.  After all, there are so few of us who possess an olive oil voice AND guinea charm.

I've been diving into this back and forth, and I've probably read about 100 pages so far.  Good stuff.  I never would have thought to take an existing script and tweak it like this.  Nice work.

Thanks. I've toyed with parodies before, but I've never actually finished any of them since they were mostly for my own amusement. Probably one of the funnier ones was one I title The Sesamatrix where I put all the Sesame Street Muppets into the Matrix storyline. I never did any detail work on it, but it was still kind of funny thinking about it.

Okay, finished.

This was a very time consuming read but I enjoyed it nevertheless. Even more so than I did the Godfather.

A few things that stood out for me...

- The restaurant scene actually seemed very similar to that of the original film, which was great. I'm glad you decided not to play it for laughs. Was the veal hanging from the Goose's mouth from the original script or did you add it yourself? It was a nice touch.

- SimplyTown. Excellent!

- SimplyVilla! Ha! Also excellent.

- Nice cameo by Angel.

- I enjoyed Rapture's name switching every scene.

- Again, the scene in which Alan lies to his wife has the same feel as in the original film. Good job.

All in all, an excellent read. Not only have you managed to blend the Simply Scripts world seemlessly with that of the Godfather, you've also showed that the SS script trend isn't dead yet. I'll have to write one myself at some point. Good job with this one, George.

Thank you James. Sorry you just got to be the nurse. But hey, even the little roles are important. I'm very happy you enjoyed it.

The veal hanging from Goose's mouth also hung from McCloskey's...at least in the draft I adapted. To be honest, most of the laughs were intended to be incidental based on the ridiculousness of crossing the situations. I think one of the reasons it feels so seamless is I didn't play most of the scenes for laughs; I just made some minor changes to what was there, and it came out funny.

One of my favorites was Bigwhoop describing his "idea" near the beginning. In the original, the man is begging for his son-in-law not to be deported to Sicily. I thought for a long time on what to do with this since it didn't make sense in my new world. Then I hit on the whole random idea thing, and made the story a new plot. The Act of Congress line was already there for me, but the situation change made that line downright hilarious to me. I still laugh. Nearly every laugh here fit into that category.

In the restaurant scene, they discuss little of what I changed, but merely the character of the film. That's why that one played mostly as it was in the original. Same deal with Alan and Banana compared to Michael and Kay at the end. It wasn't about the scripts or the mobs; it was about them.

Thanks again.

My debut as a character in a Simply Scripts based story, why thank you George. I'm snowed under at the moment with my own short script which I want to submit ASAP, and I've also printed about four Simply Scripts shorts to review. Once all that is cleared, I'll get on to this.

George - what a gas..

Loved reading Simply The Godfather, you did a good job fitting members from these boards into the screenplay characters and molding dialogue which gave the impression of what people say on these boards but without deviating from the original story-line established by Mario Puzo and Francis Ford Coppola's original..

Some of the references through dialogue were very funny, I laughed out loud on quiet a few occasions..

I waited, I read, I waited and then I popped up as the Hitman/bodyguard at the end of the screenplay, hey, clever casting and this also gave me a giggle or two, lol!

Really well done George, a pleasure to read...

Thanks Kevan. Appreciate the read and comments. Yeah, some people have smaller roles than others and some don't come in until very late in the story (myself included), but look at the bright side: at least you live through it.

Why do you use my last name instead of just Breanne?

And why does Don yell at Mike and tell him to ACT LIKE A MAN! -- and then Mike can’t stop laughing? Wouldn’t that make the Godfather a little upset?

Sorry about the whore thing. To clarify...some people are not represented entirely accurately.    Andrew Romance gave me a hard time over beating Andy, too. Oh, well. All in good fun, right?

As to your last name. I think you were one of the earlier picks and at the time I was using first and last names for people, if possible, even though some were a combination of their real name and screen name. (i.e. Don Admin, Steven Wesley, Phil Dogglebe, Alan Holman, Ziggy Topher) I changed up some of the characters several times trying to find a balance of who's here and who's not. I dug through stuff looking for people's full names too, and eventually I just decided to go with the single screen names for some people, but if I knew the last name, I went with it. That's why you have your last name.

As for the laughing, that's what they did in the original script when Don Corleone spoke a variation of that line. I gathered it was intended as a joke, so I changed the final Italian word to the name of one of Mike's scripts.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy the rest. As for your part, I think Tomson's a bit upset at you...

I am not upset and I wouldn't mind switching with Breanne.
Her appearance may have been breef, but at least she got something out of it.

I use everyone.  Deal with it.

Truth to tell, I don't read these Simply scripts.  No offense to anyone here, but I just don't think we know anyone enough to properly portray them in these scripts.

This one was not so much concerned with portraying everyone properly, but more in placing everyone in a particular, somewhat ridiculous at times, situation. Sometimes this one attempts to be dramatic, but it's too ridiculous to be serious. However, knowing you don't read these (since entertaining those we include is part of the fun), I'll be sure and keep that in mind in the event that I ever write another.

This script is so relaxing and cathartic.  I still read parts of it over-and-over sometimes.  But when you consider which role I've got, I wonder if that's a good thing that I enjoy it so much ... hehehehehe

It's probably the part where he's having dinner with Banana Chan...you know, a private dinner in a hotel room.

This took me awhile! Since I'm such a slow reader I did print this out and I made it my bedtime read (sorry Vince Flynn) rather than read it off of the pc. It worked out well since this was good enough to be something to take to bed with you,

I want to start out by saying, though it was very funny to read all the "characters" from Simply Scripts, I did not for a second take any of the characters personas in the script as an indication of how you might perceive us in real life (even if just online). If I had you would have received a complaint from me for making me such a bore.

It's been a very long time since I saw The Godfather and after reading this I have decided that I absolutely should by the DVD, maybe even the script. That leads me to an off topic question, but maybe you'd know the answer. I know a lot of the produced scripts here at SS are transcripts, my question is, when you by them are they actual copies of the real scripts? I hope so, because I've bought a bunch of them over the years. I'd like to think that I'm reading something the way the author actually penned it.

You did an amazing job here weaving your story into the original. Very clever and funny too. I'm totally blown away that it only took you one month (I think I read somewhere).
You continue to impress me and I must admit that instead of just one pedestal with my favorite unproduced writer I now have two. The first one has a picture of Breanne on it. Sadly the only picture I have of her, she's got this strange look of Chuck Norris on her. The pedestal next to hers is yours. The only picture I have of you is a mugshot of Ted Kazcynski, oh well..

Someone once told me that to become successful yourself, you should surround yourself with successful people. Their success will rub off on you. I am becoming more and more convinced that I should read more of the really great stuff that is out there than reading things like "The Cabin". I will not hesitate to read anything of yours, if I'm lucky something good might rub off on me.

Excellent!

Thanks for reading, Tomson. I appreciate it as always.

Yeah, this would have worked out totally different if I made an attempt to "know" people better in the script. As it was, it was everyone playing a part, although I did try to match some people up to their "Godfather" personalities, and I hit the mark on some of them in that you can "see" them acting this way, even if just from the online personas. That is some, not all, of course (respects paid to Breanne). In retrospect, I could have reached beyond the "boy movie" aspect and cast some of the female regulars in the male roles. But I think I didn't want anyone to think I was confused about who is male and who is female.

To this, there is no way of actually knowing. When a script is put into production, copies are made of it and possibly copies of those copies which is one way the public gets ahold of it. This copy of a copy is retyped, which is often how it ends up online unless the holder of the script scans it. When you buy a script from Amazon, it would be an official reproduction authorized by the original studio. If you buy one off of eBay from an individual, there's no telling. The eBayer could have downloaded it from here, tweaked it into proper format, and resold it. However, in most cases, if it is in proper format or something close to it, it's usually the way the author wrote it...but not always. I actually altered some of this script to be in proper format since most of the slugs were written as "INT DAY: DON CORLEONE'S OFFICE." Those are my opinions on this, and I don't know 100%.

Something like that. What I typically do is bang something out real quick and then sit on it for awhile while I mess with it before posting it.

Now I know my own mug is elsewhere in that thread... Thanks for the warm fuzzies. I'm honored you think that way of what I've done.

Wow, thanks. God knows I've got enough on here to keep anyone busy for an eternity. And it's ok to read The Cabin every once in awhile. After all, you've gotta know what's bad, so you know what not to do. I watch bad movies for just that reason. As I'm sitting there shaking my head as the third idiot walks into someone else's house in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, I know they'll be killed. Why? It's Texas, and they're breaking and entering... I keep harping on that.

Thanks again, Tomson. Whatever you post, I'll continue to read. I worked through 7 scripts yesterday. I may post a lot, but it's the exchanges that kill me.

Hey George,

I started reading this a while ago but didn't get far, so I've picked it back up.  Here are some of the notes and stuff as I read.

*Helio's opening, though dramatic, is absolutely hilarious.
*I'm digging everybody's introductions!  Tomson and Phil married, Ben Bigwhoop, Breanne the Maid of Honor...splendid.
*Banana and Alan..so fitting.
*"I'm not rich anymore, Godfather, and...my career, I'm almost washed up..." That is so like Shelton
*Kevin Revie Gardens hahaha
*All of his guys are Stifler! Ha!

I just got to the part where Revie finds Paris Hilton's head in his bed and I'm gonna stop there for now.  I'll finish this up and get review out...shortly.

Be excellent to each other
