The November (Feature) Challenge is over!* Please take some time to check out the Feature scripts of the challenge. Congratualtions to those who finished.
*It's not over. For those who didn't finish, you still have a great start on a script. Why not finish it?
Why is this still running??? Previously -- Now I Teach by Joseph J Caruso - Dramedy - A story about a man in his 50's who tries to teach after working in the IT field for over 30 years. I got a laugh where he says he was married for five years and divorced for five, and she says "Its rare that I see symmetry like that." The problem is, that is page 20 and all he's done is meet the principal and some of the teachers. Multiple issues here, Joseph, NOW I TEACH needs homework (see what I did there?), do you want it? Joe
Nothing draws a crowd like a big fight. This thread has had over 1230 views in a couple months. I even read several pages of the script just to see what all the hubbub was about. Note to self: When posting a work for review, make controversial remarks to stir the pot. Apparently a workable strategy. 😂
Seriously though writer, I actually became interested in your script. There’s a story here to tell. Please take this as intended: I am an amateur at screenwriting. I have committed just about every “no-no” in the book from formatting to flow to…everything. I have learned so much here from the advice given…for free. People donating their time to uplift our craft. Please consider removing the chip from your shoulder and receiving the advice in the spirit in which it was given. You’ll be the richer for it. I promise.
Scripts Available: Christmas Joe (Holiday Drama) Every Time It Snows (Holiday Drama) Happy Holi-DNA (Holiday Romance) Let That Pony Run (Family Drama) With Love, From Romance (Holiday Romance) Essex (Historical Drama)

QUITE CLEARLY, as I have repeated 10 times now.. I do not agree. "We all know about show, don't tell". END OF THREAD. GO AWAY. BYE.
You've written a script in which people do little but talk for almost 2.5 hours.
At 110 minutes, My Dinner With Andre clocked in a half hour less, and many people will tell you they thought watching that film was a form of torture.
My constructive opinion is you need a lot less talking and a lot more doing, but not so much of it that your running time exceeds two hours at the absolute most.
