Thanks for participating in the One Week Challenge.

I've sent an email to all the participants indicating the status of his/her script.  Check your email (and junk mail folder).  If you haven't received an email from me, send me a pm or an email and I'll let you know the status.

If you are new to the OWC and have never reviewed a script on the site before, your script will be in the last batch to go up.  This is to encourage new folks to read and review other OWC entries.

Also note, the fake names are assigned randomly.  Please don't read anything into it.

A note on statistics - there are a total of 33 scripts to go up.  There were over 40 entries.  Reasons for rejection were: Too long, not formatted correctly or submitted in a format that I couldn't read.

Don

Brilliant -- that is fair and reasonable and completely unbiased.

We have spent a long time trying to figure out a solution for this problem, and that is perfect, Don.  Well done, indeed.

Don't know where to put it so I'm putting it here, could it be made a rule that not only must a script be submitted in the proper script format - but it has to be in proper SPEC script format?

Don has said in the past that the scripts have to be generally correct in their format.

He probably opens up the files and glances, but expecting him to pore over each submission looking for fine points is unreasonable.

He does reject some of them.

Not sure if this has been done before, but has the moderators or any members helped Don in pouring through the OWC script batch? Or is all up to Don?

I like the idea of writing something on deadline and to form. I've just read three of the entries and was surprised that two of them combined totaled nine pages.
I don't know what the rules are here or what the leeway is but if you’re given an assignment for 26 or 52 pages you have to fill the space and the story has to work.
I'd like to participate in one of these so I can be fairly trounced but I really think you have to make he authors live up to the rules. If you ask for 12 pages then the boundary should be 11-13, no less, no more. No favors are being done letting anyone interested in doing this for a living turn in three or six pages when 12 were required.

The scripts aren't required to be 12 pages, just 12 or less.

I've been wondering that myself.

I'm anxious to see who wrote what.

I assumed it would be at least a week after the last batch of scripts was released, which was yesterday. Reviewing seems to have slowed down quite a bit, so I'm guessing the names will be revealed soon.

I'm eager to know who wrote what too, but I really want to respond to my critics (who were all pretty fair, I should say).
