What's you favorite horror sub-genre? What about your least favorite?

My favorite is the slasher sub-genre. Surprise!

My least favorite would probably be the exorcism sub-genre. Besides "The Exorcist", almost all other exorcism films suck.

What about you guys?

I would say psychological as my favorite and torture porn as my least, but then I liked both Saw and Hostel...

I'm also not a big fan of witches and supernatural, but I LOVE The Exorcist, Rosemary's Baby and The Omen... I guess it comes down to how well it's all put together.

GREAT to see you back Zack!!! Between you and Ashlie, it almost feels like the old days!

Ah, I almost forgot torture porn. I also strongly dislike that sub-genre, while also being a hypocrite and believing Hostel is a masterpiece.

Feels good to be back.

I'm hip on the inter-dimensional crossover horror: Stranger Things, In the Mouth of Madness, From Beyond... and all things HP Lovecraft. Oh! Can't forget inbred backwoods horror.

I really can't say there's much horror I don't like.

I'm old school. Give me B-movie horror any day of the week! Sleepaway camp...all of them.

Then maybe Hitchcockian horror....thriller?

And American Psycho, of course.

And, sorry, but I admit I love 70's rape/revenge films. (WTH does that say about me....)

My least fav:

Gross-out horror:

The human centipede I will NOT WATCH!

Slither.....no.....bugs.....NO!

Hostel...depends on my mood.

AND NO PUPPET OR DOLL ANYTHING!

Was it a movie or a t.v. show?

T.v. show. It was pretty popular.

Amazing Stories: This anthology series features unreal fantasy and horror stories a la "The Twilight Zone." Each short story was all-inclusive and many featured famous actors. Steven Spielberg served as executive producer of the show, which aired for two seasons on NBC.

Damn. How the hell have I never heard of this? I'll put it on my list of stuff to watch.

Another sub-genre I really enjoy is the haunted house one. I love me some haunted house movies.

It was weird, I remember that much. And there was another one that came on showtime...Dark Shadows or something....wait was that a soap opera?

True dat! A good old fashioned ghost story. Especially with kids.

Have you ever seen 'Dead Silence'? I foolishly went to see it with my friend and I didn't sleep for a week.

Yes! That and 'Drag me to Hell'. I was sooo freaked out after that one. Everyone else thought it was funny...I was horrified.

Old ladies can't be trusted.

I've never really dipped into this sub-genre. Always seemed a little too strange for me. lol

Ashlie, I thought the old lady in "Drag Me To Hell" was hilarious.
