Hi,

I recently joined this forum and I'm looking to do a short film and a feature length film.  I'm a producer/director/writer in my own right having producing four features and directed one feature and countless shorts.   I don't have the time since I know good writing is hard to do and its a labor of love.  So, I thought if I could find some material to do and produce/direct and help some up-incoming writers to make a mark for themselves and a "Real" credit and some dough along the way.

Recently, I purchased the RED One camera (if some of you don't know what it is?)  its a 4K digital camera that surpasses 35mm film and I'm looking to shot some stuff with it.  Currently, I using it for re-shoots on a feature that I produced and next month; I'm directing a series of commercials with it and I want to do some narrative work with it to go through the grinder during a production shoot.

If you have a great script, let me know.  I've read some of these script so far here...pretty good.
I will continue to do so...but in the meantime...I would love to find something that I don't have to do since I know its takes time to write or I can't read all of them here.  I wish I could.  So, if I get some scripts with some small location details what I'm looking for would be great.   I've began writing a feature script with one of these details, but I've got swapped with extra work so I don't have the time to finish it.

I'm looking for scripts that have these qualities: I have access to two of these...

1. An Island.  So, a script (short or long) would be good.  Murder mystery or thriller possibly.

or one with:

2. A motel - semi luxury.  A small town story.

Let me know if you have something good.

Thanks...and keep up writing.

"...and celebrities believe they are the "Real" stars that make the movie great!!!  Let me tell you."

Nice, where is it? And SteBrown (a member on here) had a script that was for the most part set in a motel room, and then the aftermath of the motel. I'll try and find the link for you.

Island is here in the U.S.  I should say the Island isn't mine, but I have authorization to use it like many locations in the past on other productions.  Not a private island like in the Caribbean...if the script needs one...I would get it or I would just cheat it making look isolated and whatever is needs for the script.

Thanks Toby_E, that would be great.  Currently, reading a script "Motel Hell"...pretty good, but its not what I'm looking for...too violent and vulgar language.  Not saying I'm looking for whole some script...but limited language or violent would be best. You can always add violence and language.  I love when violent isn't seen, but just heard like Quentin Taranto, "Res. Dogs" script when one of the killers, slices off the ear of the cop.  The camera pans left during the action, and back revealing the cop with one ear left.

Thanks for the shout out Toby. The link is in my signature - 'Clementine'.

Another script in my sig 'Coma' takes place mainly on a beach - a fantasy world. I think you could have some fun with it if you live on an island.

Phil

Hi Phil,

I'm listed with IMDB and i have a website, but I'm re-doing it as we speak.  As for footage, that's what I'm gearing up to show on the website. Trailers, shorts and new commercials will be presented there.  Some of my other features that I produced are not posted there, I don't know why when I entered the info to IMDB, it has yet to be posted.  Its been months now.  IMDB can be a bit finicky.  If you know how to post on IMDB let me know the secret.  It's a bit frustrating when others (filmmakers) have posted way after me.

When its all finished, I will post a link for you all if you wish.

Cheers...
