A producer/director I know is looking for a short script to shoot. He does a good job. Just finished "A Hero's Gift" and is now looking for something else. He says he's looking for something sci-fi w/ small effects, history, or another family drama. Maybe a mixture too of sci-fi/mystery/family/drama. Something that is award-winning and original too.

I personally don't think it has to be award winning, but it should definitely be good.

Let me know if you have any further questions or a script that might work.

Hey, Pia.

Since you know him, do you think he might be interested in "Alba"?

I won't waste his time unless you think it might be appropriate for him.

Hey, it's my tiny, little IMDb!

Hey Bert,

I think I remember that one pretty well. Why don't you e-mail me a copy and I can send it along with your contact info.

This might be a stupid question Pia but how short is short?  5 pages or 25 pages?

Alffy,

I think technically anything less than 60 pages is considered a short, but I think in this case anything under 15 pages would probably work.

I don't know why I asked really, the one of mine I had in mind is neither sci-fi nor family drama, maybe mystery/history at a push lol.

Pia,
Tell him or her that they can use any of mine.

Monster's Contest
Monster's Lullaby
Focus
Damned Yankee     is a good one, too.

If they want any of them, you know where to find me.

Hi Pia

Do you think he would be interested in my script 'Coma'? The film's fallen down in post-production.

After e-mailing back and forth yesterday, he told me he's heading towards a Disney type reputation. So it has to be sort of nice and uplifting. Sci-fi is good, but it can be straight drama too as long as the story is really good and  not dark or depressing.

Alffy, I don't remember Coma. I read a lot so you would have to remind me which one it is. If it fits within what I wrote earlier, please send it to me.

This kinda fits the Disney-ish mold, and it's always fun to break out the old Word docs.

Uplifting is the major criteria. An uplifting short.

Can't say I've read too many that fit into this, on here. Most of the scripts I've checked out are shorts, but they're dark, not Disney-ish.

I believe, in the short section, "All the Ducks Come to Groove About" is a little more uplifting. Although, it is about John Lennon, but that could be a good thing. If it's wrong, don't blame me, I haven't had time to get to it yet.

Well, Pia, that's my script FOCUS.

Really good... You be the judge, but it is fun and comical.

As for Disney sort scripts, I think Michael Cornetto's The Fairy Who Wouldn't Fly would be a good choice.

I'd love to pimp my own stuff but the sci-fi script I'm writing isn't serious.

Is he still looking for a script or has he settled on one?

If not, if he could give me a budget range and a relative range of characters and settings I would be happy to write it around his budget/considerations.
