I've entered this one before, and will vouch for it.

It is professionally run, and I was pleased with the feedback I received.

The caveat for this one is for you Horror guys to find another contest -- unless 35 bucks for some decent feedback is not a real issue for you financially.

But it is Dramas and such that will get the nod for top spots.

Good call folks. I'm gonna have a go.

I know Bert knows what he's doing. And I know anyone who laughs as much as Slabby is definitely doing something right.

has anyone gotten their feedback from bluecat yet?
I haven't gotten my analysis yet and they haven't responded to my emails.

I am eagerly awaiting mine too. I turned mine in to receive analysis by February 20, which is just three short days away. Maybe they are waiting for the last minute.

The main reason I entered the contest was for the analysis.

Well... what a bummer. On the script I entered I was supposed to receive my analysis on February 20th. I emailed them and got a fast reply that they were on the way and to check my email on Monday. That came and went with nothing. They have stopped responding to my emails, I sent two more. I AM however still getting all their newsletters, even the one for resubmission after receiving the analysis so you can make any necessary changes.

Just my luck...

Anyone else have this happening?

It'll be fine...I wouldn't worry too much. Just be an unavoidable delay of some kind.

Bluecat is a reputable competition. And delays do happen.

No... I am sure it will get here and I am not saying they are not a reputable group. I just have the worst luck with this type of thing. When I went through my divorce it took over a year because the clerk at my lawyers office kept hiding papers she was supposed to file instead of doing the work. Every time I called to check out what was going on I got her on the phone and she would give me excuses that sounded legitimate.

This is why I said it is just my luck.

Moviebytes is a website that, among other things, reviews competitions. Scoring is actually done by screenwriters who enter them. If you have concerns about a competition, you can read the reviews of others before entering.

I hear you there. Guess when you've had enough bad luck you start to expect it.

Personally, I won't freak out if the feedback comes a few days late. A few weeks late might be a problem
