Hoping that includes found footage.

Anonymous Content, Participant and even people like Bob Yari have used InkTip.

I got my first commission after a director read a couple of my screenplays on that site and my second commission via InkTip goes into production on July 18th.

Thanks for posting these Pia. They're interesting.

I used to be on Inktip, on the Production side, but let things lapse. Might go back on it to search for some features.

I think it's fairly clear that there are certain genres and types of films that give you a better shot of making it.

Seems to me that a lot of people make things too hard for themselves by trying to mix things up, when it seems there are fairly standard boxes for what the companies want.

Crime thrillers, heist movies, family friendly, comedy etc.

Some weird ones on the list as well though. I saw one wanting a script for just two cast members. Of all the things to ask for, that seemed strange to me. Not like having just two people is a particular hook, and having three or four isn't going to effect the budget significantly....

Did you send it in?

I hope people send things in to things like this. I wonder how many writers actually even try to get things off the ground.

No. It's a rough first draft. Sort of similar to The Hide...that you recommended.

Sounds good.

Let me know when it's around.

I follow these leads every so often but some of them are so specific I wonder if they get any hits at all (though I suppose there are people somewhere who have written biopics about Gloria Steinem).

I'm glad to know that Greg. Good for you.

Any nibbles?

I agree that some are weirdly specific. I reckon there are some genres that are great for aspiring writers to have in their back pocket though...crime one and an espionage one in particular. Seem to come up all the time, in one way or another.

Rick,

I recently submitted Zombie Playground to one of these inquiries.
Turns out they had already reviewed the synop on the site.

When it comes to InkTip, I get buku on their free service for short scripts.
Gotten two options that way, so far.

Regards,
E.D.

It's weird that I get the Inktip newsletter but it didn't include as many listings that Pia posted this week.

Company B

We are looking for completed feature-length action/adventure scripts in the vein of the 80’s Amblin Entertainment films. In other words, PG-13 scripts in the vein of “The Goonies,” “Ghostbusters,” “E.T.,” “Gremlins,” “Back to the Future,” etc. Something with entertaining characters who have clear goals and lots of heart. High stakes but with some humor. Popcorn entertainment with memorable characters that we care about – not just whiz-bang special effects.

Budget will not exceed $15 million. Both WGA and Non-WGA writers may submit.

Thanks for the post, Pia!

You better believe I re-upped my newsletter status to get access to this lead!

Company A
We are looking for completed feature-length sexy psychological thrillers. This would be a Chinese production or a mostly Chinese audience, so it must be able to pass Chinese censorship guidelines. The sexuality should not be too explicit (no scripts in the vein of “Shame”) but it can have undertones (like “Body Heat”). However, no scripts about corrupt government officials or police officers.

Budget will not exceed $5 million. Both WGA and Non-WGA writers may submit.

For more information on gaining access to this lead, please see
http://www.InkTip.com/pnews.php.

Thanks, Pia

Finally I have something in my arsenal that a company is looking for.  I might have to tweak it a bit to get under the budget and change the locations, but I think it could work.  Will see.

Thanks again for the continued updates.
