Does anyone know if any script of the winners or the finalists of this contest is available for download somewhere?

They look like a scam to me. Are there lists of previous winners and successes? If no... then they just want your cash, IMO.

Screencraft has been around a while and runs a bunch of different genre specific contests throughout the year. I think this is their first short contest though. Their cash prizes aren't too big but the perk is they intro the winning writers to managers/agents...whatever...that deal with the genre.  A friend of many of us here, Caroline Coxon, made it to the quarters of the Family Friendly contest. Not sure when they're announcing semis for that but I hope she makes it.

Where are their list of winners and success stories? Even their list of judges? Making it to the quarter finals means very little if even the finalists aren't getting anywhere.

Okay...so they're going on their 3rd year. To me that's a while. Not a new contest. And if you click on a complete contest you can see the list of winners. And they do list judges.

And you're right...quarters don't mean anything which is why I mentioned they hadn't announced semis yet and I hope she makes it.

That's a list of winners from their recent fellowship contest where 3 winners get flown to LA for meetings with 5 mentors. Pissed I didn't enter that one. What a great prize.

If you click on the contest banner it takes you to the list of winners, prizes, judges.

These are the judges listed for the shorts comp...

JUDGES
The 2015 jury includes:
Alice Kharoubi Director of Cannes Film Festival Short Film Programme
Marc Hustvedt Founder of the annual Streamy Awards and Tubefilter.com
Jeremy Boxer Creative Director at Vimeo and Co-founder and Director of Vimeo Festival+Awards
Ari Lubet Literary Manager, 3 Arts Entertainment
Kamran Kamjou Senior Director, Maker Studios (Disney)
Michael Felker Slamdance Short Film Programmer

LOL.

Where are their list of judges? Previous success stories? Even on their consultancy page there is one testimonial, doubtless written by themselves.

Too many alarm bells ringing for me from that site.

I gave the link and listed the judges. Anyway...I think we all know how you feel about these contests. A lot of us see it as a possible way to get noticed.

Thanks realxwriter! This looks good to me, I'll see what I have - maybe I'll manage to find something in my files and rewrite or something for this one.

Thanks everyone for the responses. All inputs are welcome. People who said "stay away," people who said "looks good."

If it's their first year doing shorts, I guess I'm out of luck. I always like to take a taste on what the contest is looking for before submitting. 35 pages is a good stretch, can't think of myself going that long with a short though. I think I'm gonna go for the April deadline. Too late to write a winning script, and $10 save is not worth the trouble to write one in a hustle.
