Hey all

I'm looking for short stories/scripts around 15-20 pages (can be a little more or less) in the vein of the classic stories like Tales from the Crypt, Creepshow, Hammer House of Horror, Monster Club etc. or with a Stephen King vibe but with an overall theme of revenge/vengeance or karma. I've found a few by scouring the site (there are a few in the OWC forums) but wondering if anyone has anything unpublished, or can recommend/link to some more on these boards? A good example is Bert's Salvage and Mighty Fire, or Cam's One For The Road and Of Sound Mind (btw anyone know what happened to Cam?).

Cheers.

There is a a number of entries in the current OWC based on urban legends, but at the same time a number of them deal with a revenge theme and/or were inspired by such.  The one I wrote was actually inspired by a vengeful ghost story UL.. I was debating whether or not to put the horror back in. I decided the other day that I most likely will in the revision, but now I may have an additional excuse to do so. I'll also PM you on that entry.

Other shameless plugs:
Step On A Crack
The mystery behind six mirrors which reflect murder and despair when they face each other in an old decaying house is revealed

The Flesh Won't Be Missed
A witch and her psychotic boyfriend plan a robbery with the use of a very special candle

Undying Love Triangle
When two vampires have an affair, a murder plot unfolds. But the over-the-hill wife isn't that easy to kill

I've got an old script, Robbing the Grave, that should fit the bill. It runs a little longer than you're asking for (29 pages) but could easily be trimmed.

Bert also had another one from years back in a similar vein to the others you mentioned of his, Think of me and I'll be there....

Did you ever watch the vampire stuff written by James?  So Dark and So Pretty?

This is that guy.

Hey Mrl72...

Another that you should definitely check out (in my very humble opinion) is the winner of a previous OWC: Magick and the Machine.  Logline below...

Magick in the Machine (Horror) - A junkie, an aging witch and internet porn. What could possibly go wrong? 12 pages

Link here: http://www.philclarkejr.com/Magick%20in%20the%20Machine.pdf

And other samples of horror shorts available here: http://www.philclarkejr.com/jec.html

A few details about me: two feature lengths in pre-production, several placings SF in Page. Good luck with the search!!  We've got lots of talent on these boards

Haha, thanks Bert. And yeah I'm that guy. And Dustin I apologize if my posts are a little vague as I don't have a lot of details to give away at this point because this project is in its early stages.

All I can say is it's not going to be super high budget but we have an amazing team wanting to put this together so if you have something great then shoot me a link. I'm in the process of reading every short on the site so it's likely I will read it anyway if it's here, but will save me a boat load of time if you can point the way.

And Janet, you are absolutely correct about the talent on display here. I'm a long time lurcher

And thanks to everyone that PM'd me their stuff. I'll get back to you once Ive compiled everything together.

Cheers.
