Sweet. Thanks for that. Weirdly enough I was just chatting to someone who asked me what the best writing contests are and I said I've no idea, never really researched it. Then I thought....why the hell not? You idiot Mark! Then I saw this link - hahah!

Thanks for posting the link Anthony - nice info.

Would have liked to see more on what criteria the chap used to rank these otherwise it is just a it too subjective. I will grant that Nicholls is number one on almost anyone's list. Other lists I have seen have the remainders in fairly random orders. I would have like to see rankings based on:

% of finalists who gain representation or option a script.
% of entry fees that goes to contestants vs, contest.
Quality of Judges
Whether the contests provide genre specific awards (to me this is critical)
etc.

Maybe during my next writers block collapse I'll research this. Anyway - appreciate the link - it twas a valuable read.
