I didn’t read into it but from the look of it it’s absolutely free. Weird tho but that’s whet InkTip says. Their site says the same. Anyway here it is:

Had an email today saying I'm a semifinalist in this comp with "Confessions of a Cadaver" which was quite nice, never reached semifinals of anything lol

Not sure if it's worth a damn, don't really know who The Script Lab are... But top 300 out of 13,000 was a bit of an ego boost lol

Good stuff Matthew!

Good luck with the next stage. And if you entered as a freebie, then I’m impressed by the people running it too

Thanks all - Was a nice email to receive.

Will let you know if it is selected as a finalist - although it is only a 3-page short, and I don't think there are separate categories for features and shorts - so seems harsh that mine should be selected above features lol

Thanks - Things have been a bit crazy past few months so something had to give, unfortunately, it was scriptwriting.

Now things are settling down I am going to start to write again and hopefully be around a bit more - seems I missed a lot of OWC and the tournament though!

Yea - they have even kept to the deadlines. By the looks of it, they will be doing it every year - so need to add it to my calendar, can't go wrong with free entry lol
