Thanks to everyone for reading this and condemning us for breaking the page limit.   I guess what finally made it to the page did not address the food shortage directly, but for what it's worth, I always considered the evolution of the species to one that would actually absorb sunlight to be the part that addressed the food shortage. I suppose our mistake was starting after the shortage was addressed as opposed to dealing with the addressing of it. In a sense, this "part 1" isn't exactly the beginning in that dealing with a world with evolved versus unevolved people would be a terribly interesting story as well.

We basically ran out of room when writing it and cut out as much as possible to have some measure of a cohesive story while striving to come close to the page limit. I was afraid that there were too many characters and that's what ultimately killed the page limit. You can't have characters do stuff without setting them up. For what it's worth again, though, the way it ends here is better than the ending that did meet the page limit.

Hey you two,
Just finished reading. It's taking me some time, but I plan on reading each entry.
I thought this was pretty neat. How the people were evolving....
A thought here... What if the guys used for 'breeding" were offered food for their family????
The ending kind of got me, where it just dropped off. I felt kind of let down, and was like, what?
Hope you post the next part. I would like to read it.
Good job,
Cindy
