I am new here....

My name is Natasha and I am 14 (almost 15)and I am a Cunuck!! I AM CANADIAN!! I have wanted to dierect/screenwrite since I saw Ron Howards biography when I was 8. Other than screenwriting I waste my time by dancing (ballet, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical and several other styles). I love music so I listen to anything except country (it kills brain cells). I have over 250 CD's and you can find anything from eminem to puccini (opera) to black eye peas to billy talent and nickleback. So yah I really like music but I don't play an instrument... strange. My favourite director is Ron Howard (mostly becuase he the one that inspired me) and my favourite screenwriter is John Logan or Scott Frank.

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie so I thought I'd introduce myself.

My name is Jennifer (aka angelparis) and I'm in my early 30s. I live near Adelaide in Australia and work as a reservations consultant for a travel company.

I love music...some of my favorites are: Pearl Jam, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Evanescence, Sarah McLachlan, Chris Isaak, and Dido.

I love TV (CSI, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Without A Trace, Alias, 24, Buffy, Angel), and movies (Pulp Fiction, The Crow, ...there are just way too many to mention).  A few of my favorite writers are Joss Whedon, Tim Minear, and Quentin Tarantino.

I've been writing short stories and longer novel-length stories since I was about 10 or 11, but it's only been in the last 4 years or so that I've progressed to writing in script form.  I have my own website (click on the link in my sig below) where I've written alternative episodes of the now cancelled TV show "Angel" from season 2 onwards.  All the episodes are done in as close to a shooting script format as possible.  I've got a copy of the shooting script for the first-ever Angel episode, so I've tried to stay as close to that format as possible.  I love writing in this format because I can visualise how the scene would look to an audience watching it on TV.  Some of the earlier episodes I wrote are a little naive, but I believe I've gotten better as time has progressed.

Eventually I'd like to work on movie scripts, but that's only going to happen once I've finished all the episodes for my website (I'm going to stop at the end of season 6...so there's a while to go).  If only there were 48 hours in a day....

Jennifer

Very cool to see a bunch of new people here.  Welcome folks!  I've been around since the dark ages.  My name is Lesley and I live outside Los Angeles, California in the good ol' US of A.  I work in Hollywood, but not doing what I'd like to be doing.  Well...soon enough!    And angelparis, I like the name.  I'll drop by your site.

Welcome!

true love waits... i guess.

Hi, I'm new here. Umm, I'm not in to mention my name just yet. I just signed on here a few minutes ago. I live in Belgium, I'm 17 soon I will become 18. I enjoy films and writing. I have no real favorite director but if I have to take my pick Stephen Sommers is one of 'em. I've been into a one-man writings business since I was 9 or 10. Which means I write and no one cares. Most of it is just fanfiction. At that age I wrote especially Power Ranger stories because of their popularity then later on I trained myself more to it with other series. Now I mostly write about MacGyver, that was my first 100+ page story. Besides that I have this dream of becoming a director. Maybe I will someday. Hopefully. I've got another 2 years of school to do and then following an education in the movie business, I guess. In the meantime I kinda hangout and try to keep on writing. It's my hobby since the past few years that I kept doing and it's the only thing I like doing. Creating a world of your own where you can do whatever you like. Makes you feel like God and if you succeed to make a movie of it... I don't have to spell it out for ya, right? Showing the world how your mind works!! Further on... recently I started working on my first real movie scenario while I actually have no real experience. But I'm trying. I'm using an ideabook and try to make the puzzle complete.

I guess I've been here awhile and never really introduced myself.  I have been in the "filmmaking" business for about 5 years now.  Started into a screenwriting class at 14 and moved my way up to a professional production short film The Chance of Fate and owning my own small production company Factor Films.  I am obviously a big movie buff and they have taken over my life.  I have been lucky enough to meet people who share my passion and dreams for movies with the same intensity that I do.  I have written about 6 partial screenplays and about 10 shorts, most of which I have produced.  Anyway, that's me in a nutshell.

I didn't even see this board before I posted my other thread.   Please forgive me and pay no attention to the first one, Well anywhoo...I'm new to this board, but I've been writing for a while. I'm 17, graduated early and I'm an english major.    Let's see...I've always loved reading and writing. I wrote my first script when I was around 10. It was just an adaptation of "The Witch of Blackbird Pond" and it was meant for stage. After that I fell in love with writing and I wrote lots of short stories and two novel-length stories. One of my short stories was published in a children's magazine. So that was pretty exciting.

I started writing screenplays a few years ago and wrote tons of unfinished screenplays. I'm  in the process of writing a film right now. The first draft is almost finished!   I skipped 6th and 11th grade so I graduated two years early. I've been studying english, telecommunications and all my required courses.

I've helped out behind the set of a few indie films which was exciting. I'm excited to be part of this board. And thats mostly all I have to say

Sadly when late October hits I'll leave my teenage years behind and become 20, I'd cry but I'm to old to do so
