hey everyone, another newbie here. my name is jason and i'm a sixteen year old student as well as an aspiring screenwriter and director (although i've never successfully done either). i go to a private catholic school (bust!) and i have a part time job at the lamest arcade/sports center in the world.

my favorite director would have to be james cameron sometimes and m. night shamalan most of the time (sorry can't spell for beans) and my favorite screenwriters are kevin williamson (... well, only the SCREAM scripts, the rest suck) and once again m. night.

i have never finished a full fledged feature screenplay, but i have finished one short (i've only finished one short because i was actually trying to write a short.)

there's my info. i'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and maybe work up a collaberation or two. i don't really know what we're suppose to do on this board really... i just joined because i've visited simplyscripts.com for a while now.

Jason,

Welcome to the board.  Hope you can find it of use.  Or, at the very least entertaining.

A lot of stuff goes on here, people fight, people chat about everything from screenplays to politics (Check the general chat board for all of the above) There are people well sometimes that will give you advice on a screenplay you are working on

You can almost do anything that you'd ever want to do online

Hi,
my name is Scoob ( of course) and i think that this site is awesome.
Im a complete novice in writing scripts although I used to write a hell of a lot of stories when I was younger. Im trying to get back into it, and hopefully if i am able to have any of my scripts put up here, they provide someone with entertainment.

Cheers!

I'm 16 and live in Pennsylvania - Romero's zombie capital -
Michael Birch is a pen name I use since I've gotten a lotta emails involving identity theft. Plus it's looks more proffesional then my actual name.
Hell, I'm a pretty frequent poster, I signed up in October but have been browsing the site for around a year and a half.

I'm a huge Sam Raimi, George Romero, and Kevin Smith fan.
And a Playstation 2 junkie - Silent Hill has jack shit on Resident Evil.

BTW I wrote that crappy short "Job Applications."

Currently - I'm working on a book, script, and a theatre project.

I also have a few treatments being written into scripts.

I was chatting with a guy who has the exact same first and last name as me on AIM and he was like who are you and I told him and than he was like oh and than he just went away and never ever came back

I mean it's not like It's weird to look up your own name and chat with someone whose got your name

The "O.K troll, thanks for the tirade - now back to the topic at hand." in the above topic refers to a post from a wack job that has since been deleted.
