good luck with the music venture Kessler

since you seem to be heading for an old punk vibe there won't be much room for any Avril Lavigne numbers in your sets.  such a shame

Avril Levigne's got a song -- I forget what it's called -- it starts "sometimes I get so weird, I laugh myself to sleep" -- or at least, I think that's the first line.  Whatever that song's called, I've only heard it a couple trillian times, and I think it'd make a great theme song for BANANA CHAN.  If not that song, other possible themes for my virtual series are DROPS OF JUPITER by Train, INTUITION by Jewel, WONDERWALL by Oasis, or the BANANA CHAN THEME by Jayde.

Kessler! You forgot to mention Avril Lavinge in your favourite singers!

My song of the moment is "Some day" by Nickelback, I keep singing it and recieved THREE slaps for it!

nice set list, Es...

Arghhhhhhhh...what's with the Avril fans up in here?

I only just started this band...we've been jamming covers to tighten up (the best thing we've done so far is "Waiting for the Turning Point" by Superjoint Ritual).

I'd love to hear the Fits covers.  I caugh the Newfits in concert about...3 years ago, and despite the lack of Danzig...they were a lot of fun to see.

I'm currently hooked on this new-ish sound that's coming down: Thrice, Funeral For a Friend, Coheed&Cambria, Zeke, Etc.
And of course... Maiden!

Up The Irons!

How the hell did we wind up like this
Why weren't we able
To see the signs that we missed
And try to turn the tables

I wish you'd unclench your fists
And unpack your suitcase
Lately there's been too much of this
Dont think its too late

Nothin's wrong
just as long as
you know that someday I will

Someday, somehow
gonna make it allright but not right now
I know you're wondering when
(You're the only one who knows that)
Someday, somehow
gonna make it allright but not right now
I know you're wondering when

Well i hoped that since we're here anyway
We could end up saying
Things we've always needed to say
So we could end up stringing
Now the story's played out like this
Just like a paperback novel
Lets rewrite an ending that fits
Instead of a hollywood horror

Nothin's wrong
just as long as
you know that someday I will

Someday, somehow
gonna make it allright but not right now
I know you're wondering when
(You're the only one who knows that)
Someday, somehow
gonna make it allright but not right now
I know you're wondering when
(You're the only one who knows that)

Nickleback and Avril Lavigne straight outta Canada right into America and it's always the canadians that put down there artist for another countries band, weird how that goes

I mean yeah here in Canada Avril, Nickleback and the other Canadian crapfest Lillix get overplayed with a vengeance same with britney and christina

What's up with britney against the music? What did it do to her? was it cause she was outed as a .... you can finish that off yourself or maybe because it made her go on tv, no that was her trying to get herself on tv to make more money

How can she be against the music when its what's got her to the big dance money money money money

If she loved music so much she'd retire and spare us of the pain that is her supperimposed voice and lip syncing antics if thats how you spell it or not

If they used a machine even I could sound good and be a recording artist although i can't lip sync or stand in fornt of people

Oh back to my original point I'd ratehr listen to Rammstein than lillix, nickleback and that avril chick with the big tooth that she needs fixed like britney's chest was

And to answer the million dollar question Nickleback does in fact suck but hey i'll admit they have one catchy tune so yeah there not as bad as some out there but they dont exactly kick in as anything other than Chad the poodle, my brother likes them though

Im not into those bands, my roommates are though.

Im into bands like Black Dahlia Murder, Widow, Children of Bodom, Shadows Fall, mostly metal stuff.  Super Joint Ritual is pretty good....I saw Down about a year and a half ago...anselmo was wasted..haha....I saw Danzig about 2 years ago...fuckin kicked ass as always!

download this Rolling Stones cover "Paint It Black" - Black Dahlia Murder....its awesome...(its death metal but its cool, check it out, one of the best covers of a song...)

Coheed and Cambria have a cover of the Trooper if you havent heard that....

I just ignore the people who like avril lavign...these people have no clue about music..

Man...music that gets hyped on tv/radio is generally crap.  Honestly.  Look deeper...check out AMP Magazine or look into your local scene.  You might get turned onto something new and very cool...

Music is subjective.  Everyone has personal reasons for liking their favourite music.  If you like a song solely because it's in the top forty, you know nothing about music.  However, someone on this board said that people who like Avril Lavigne know nothing about music.  I have my own reasons for liking her music.  I also enjoy Pink Floyd, Oasis, Jewel, Linkin Park, and other artists whose songs talk to me, or to my imagination.  Marilyn Manson is a HUGE influence; the man is brilliant.  I also like obscure bands you've never heard of.  Having played trombone in a band for six years of my life, I know more than a thing or two about music.  Just because I like Avril Lavigne does not mean that I know nothing about music, and the person who suggested that I know nothing about music should be placed in a silent room with no sounds for two years; after that time, Avril Legigne's album LET GO should be piped into that room, and I assure you it will be appreciated.
