Hi, I'm a 16 year old film maker.  I hope to become famous in the future, and since I was 2 years old I have wanted to be a film maker.  My screen name will be Kevin Myers, inspired from the same name from the movie American Pie.  Triligors is the name of my future production company.  I will not give up until I become a director/ screen-writer.... so I promise all of you that one day I will become famous, to me film making is my air- without it I die.  Some consider me to be the next Steven Summers, due to the genre of movie I tend to write for.  I have been writing screenplays since I was 13, and in 2 years I will be moving to L.A.  I will be posting many of my screenplays on here, some are good- some aren't good.  Below are the titles that are now available to read:

I will be adding others once completed.  My dream project is the SOUL AVENGER, which will revolutionize the way some see Super hero movies, that being because of the different view I take while concerning these characters.

My view on the business:

Anyone can get in, anyone- 3/60 people make it, but here's the catch 40/57 give up and 7/57, well you know what the 7 is.... in other words, I believe if you never give up you will eventually become a film maker or an actor, no matter how impossible at times it seems.

Um so do you write anything original that you can actually sell or make without being sued?

I do admire your goals of becoming a famous director/screenwriter some day, I myself would love to make documentaries but not become famous

I do enjoy the name of your company and your screen name, I always use Wesley as my own screen name not the big screen but the computer screen

Kevin Smith is a great film maker, he does do dialogue very well and comedy

Too add I'm not trying to get into the business so that's one less statistic you have to add

Jay and Silent Bob, in my belief wasn't a sell out, Kevin had stated that he didn't want to make any more Jay and Silen Bob appearances in his movies, thus he gave them a final movie together.  

The 7/57, well I'm talking about way over obsessed people- the kind that, and this to me is the scariest part of the job, become the stalkers.  That's why, to me Paparazi is going to be an even scarrier concept of a movie, is in the business- lots have to deal with people like that.  So, it's not that many that are way over obsessive- but, some.

I believe though- if you keep on trying you'll eventually get into the business.  I mean, I don't think anybody really has a desire to be a household name, just entertain people.

Original screenplay is The Soul Avenger, I've been writing it since I was 13 years old.  

Just to add, I think for the most part, I will direct movies- and write the treatments of the stories I would want to direct.  

Also, where do I post the screenplays themselves on here?  What board?

Well - it's refreshing to see someone with such a positive attitude. If you read my sig - you'll understand what I mean.

Myself, I'm a late bloomer. I started to write when I was around 20, but I've only become more committed to it in the last year or so (I'm now 26)....

It is NOT SPELLED DIALOUGE!

To make it easier it is acceptable to use DIALOG.

I'd say it was because it's a message board so people don't have to care and it's not a spelling B but you might say something else so I'll just say it's not a spelling b and get over it or you'll be seeing a lot more errors than just that word

Look around, there are a lot of errors in spelling

PS You post the screenplay at submit a script on the host site but they wont be put up until september

You should ALWAYS care when dealing with the written word. Especially if you are a writer. A typo once in a while is fine (I am sure I have a more than  a few floating out there), but when you keep misspelling the same word and making the same grammatical errors it reflects a couple of possibilities:

1) You don't re-read what you write and are careless. In this case I refer you to the first sentence of this post.

2) You don't care about conveying your ideas clearly. In this case why should I care?

Well I usually catch mine before I post but they do get by me once in a  while but I mean other people may not care because it is only a message board

I read for what they write not looking for spelling errors myself but I do see where you are coming from

Also, actually if you read many screenplays- all have their spelling mistakes in it, MICROSOFT WORD catches most spelling mistakes- but, in a screenplay it hardly matters as much as with a book, due to the fact that actor's would know how to say what you have down on page.  So, I don't think it matter's as much as on a book or novel.

I think... and this is just me, but I believe that you are only allowed so many spelling mistakes in a pro-level screenplay.  For instance a few spelling errors will be overlooked and the "periods" "exclamations" and etc etc etc can miss the mark every now and again, only because your draft might be your "FINAL DRAFT" but it's only their 1st draft.  Your screenplay "WILL" be re-done several times over i'm sure.

Unless you're infact a top guy already.  And don't get me wrong, you might have a screenplay that is "SO" damn good that they don't wanna change anything at all, but if you do can I please take some lessons from ya on the weekends?

No, I'm not a TOP GUY in Hollywood, well not now at least.... yes, the dialog does change when you have other writters, but it's not as though everyone in the business that is going to work on it looks closely for spelling mistakes or bad grammar with periods, commas, etc.  That's what changes primarily from first draft to final draft, the dialog and sometimes the characters- even locations.  But, it's not like a novel or book in which those drafts are drafts of gramatical correction.  Drafts in hollywood or drafts of the very story itself, due to no audience member can see or hear commas, periods and spelling mistakes.

True... however, I'd be hardpressed to turn in a screenplay that looked like this --

The man runs down the halway and when he stop he turns around and ducks behind a counter and then he shots a man with a gun the man falls down he is dead but it dont stop there another man enters the room he too threatens the haros lif an will stop at nothing to put him n his plac?

Now that's over the top spelling mistakes- I mean, one or two minor spelling mistakes on one page- in which you can still tell what the word is supposed to be, and it doesn't ruin the pace.  Sometimes no mistakes on a page, but if you can read it- and it makes sense, then it's good grammar wise.  But, if you have to struggle to make heads or tails, it's horrible grammar in a screenplay.

Are you the same guy i talked to who was writing that Daredevil script or are you a different person. I remember talking to someone like you on here who liked Kevin Smith and was writing a Dardevil script...

Also, talking about Daredevil, once I complete the screenplay (adaptation off of Frank Millar's Daredevil: Man without Fear) I will post it.....

The character Turk in the comics is an informant character and I just gave him a line of dialouge, that I think really fits the tone of the movie.

Just thought I would share that line, to me for some reason that line I believe will make it through every single draft I write.  It's almost like a catch phrase, such as "with great power comes great responsibility", "I'm not the bad guy", and "don't make me angry, you won't like me when I'm angry", a catch phrase that describe's Daredevil's Hell's Kitchen perfectly.

Um...sure.  I guess everyone is allowed their one line... Hmm.  I would say, never get too attached to one particular element in a screenplay.  That one line could be the one that hits the cutting room floor.  Not making any ill predictions of course.

But I mean, are you then devastated for life?  Or are you like, well, that's how it goes...?

Of course, everyone would not care 100% if that line got cut-

If you are, then it's no problem. It's just that i've been working on this script for a good while, but maybe we can post ours as just two different versions or something...

Yeah, but mine would definitely be alot different I'm betting.  Since I used Elektra #1 and mixed that with Daredevil: The Man without Fear, while taking out the entire ending after Elektra leaves him, also I used alot of narrative formats.  Changed scenes around, put them into different places where need be.  Also, did you find some of the lines in it hard to change around?  Some lines, were really hard to change- due to the fact that he's just a great comic book writer.

Ok, my Daredevil screenplay is up, I just wrote it for an independant origin movie.  But, if some of you want more- I could write a sequel, the last 20 pages state my tone (once he enters back into Hell's Kitchen) of how I would portray the tormented character that is Daredevil.

Also, my SHIELD screenplay will hopefully be up soon, due to the file being lost- I will try to run it through a scanner.  So, hopefully I can get that to you, at the latest, by the end of next week.
