Hello, all. I'm a 33 year old aspiring screenwriter from Southern Indiana, and I just submitted a script to be posted here on simplyscripts. I've written several, but this is the first one I've ever submitted...anywhere...period.
It's called Wrath of God and my collaborator and I are shopping it around to various b-movie/independent movie actors, most of whom expressed their interest before it was finished. Now, we're just waiting to hear back from them.
Let's see, more about me...hmm...not a lot to tell, really. I write horror film reviews for a site called http://www.zombiekeeper.com, been doing that for several years now...I have my own independent/amateur filmmaking website at http://www.indie-film-resource.com ...I'm a Libra, my favorite color is blue, blah blah blah.
I look forward to learning more about the screenwriting process (I've been under the "aspiring" umbrella for about five years now, and still don't know everything there is to know ) and if I don't post very much, don't take offense - I'm more a reader than I am a talker.
Muchos gracias, R.E. Freak. I've been coming to SS for a couple years now, checking out newly posted scripts and what-not but last night when I joined the forums after submitting my script was the first time I've ever checked out the discussion board.
And I've been checking out numerous threads so far today and have indeed found lots of useful information. These guys have a great thing going on here, and I for one am glad a place like this exists.
I read half of The Wrath of God and must admit, i'm enjopying this more than I expected.
The summary didn't pull me in much, and most scripts like this just dont intrigue me anymore... but i must say this ones turning out very nicely. nice job.
