Greetings, I am R.E. Freak. Prepare to learn everything you could possibly want to know about the entity that is Freak. I'm an 18 year old geek with no social life whatsoever. I enjoy Penny Arcade comics, violent video games, zombie movies, and long walks on the beach that end in something exploding.

I've been likened to a Bond villain in real life. I speak with a heavy Irish accent despite not being Irish, and will sometimes slip into a more formal British one, despite not being British. I never swear, unless you're familiar with British slang, then good lord.

I am currently enrolled in SAIT.

My screenplays:
The Devil's Dance
Biohazard #1 - A Resident Evil
Biohazard #2 - Necropolis
Biohazard #3 - Nemesis
Biohazard Code: Veronica

Journey - Chapter Two
Journey - Chapter Three
Journey of the Dead (Original draft of Chapter Two)

Good luck with Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Freak, hope you get accepted.

Anyhow a little about me, name's Chris, I'm 16 and yeah right now I'm pretty much working on getting a film career off the ground.

Scripts I've written:

The Woman in White (I wrote this with my brother in seventh grade)
Mirrors (though it's not posted on here it's a short I wrote in the eighth grade)
Retribution (a very short version which I have since lost)
Job Applications
The Everland
Midnight Moves: "My Siamese Twin is a Demon"
The Unknown
The Erased
The Wicked
"good try we don't like it"

Upcoming scripts:

The Unknown part 2
Blood of the Seven Sinners
The Recluse
Rabid
The Lunchroom: "Fade to Black"
Screaming for Deliverence.

Scripts or ideas stuck in limbo:

Predator 3
The Chamber
Do Lovers Dance Upon The Pale Moonlit Midnight
The Briefcase
City of the Damned
The Silent Treatment

I also started a series "D-Hat and Miles" but I never got it off the ground.

Mainly over this summer I'm going to try to film "The Erased" and the "Frozen."

Hmmm....hopefully I won't be the only girl on here!

I'm Vanita AND from Canada.  Most specifically, boring Alberta.  I'm 16 and I guess I'm suppose to be working on my er "career" but being sixteen I just do what I can like a-hem go out alot, play sports (soccer!) and make silly movies with my friends.

But on the serious side I have two movies (I'm a slow worker! Promise!) of which are very dramatic.  My third is going to be a thriller/suspense/horror film. Very low-budget and blair witch-esque.

But seeing I'm 16 and 2 years away from being kicked out of my parents house I've decided to work on my "career" this summer.  Using the connections I've have I'm going to work on an independant movie this summer where the director has agreed to help me produce his project (So i can gain the experience).  Aren't you just jealous of me?  Being a girl has it's quirks.

Nice to get to know some of you a little more

Well, if you didn't know already, my name is Andy, a female one I might add and am 26 years young...

Um... I have been busy this past year organising the official Goonies 20th Anniversary which will be taking place June 3-5th 2005 and am getting really excited about it, as it's a mere 4 weeks away now... my event countdown is on, hope some members here can make it!!

I love to see friends, watch movies, read scripts, which I've been doing more lately and also travelling too.

I have plans to do a 3 month trek of America around October this year and then want to work in Canada at the start of 2006. Thanks to a lot of the folks on this site, I've been given more confidence to travel solo, so thank you to all, I really appreciate it!

Found this board by the recommendation of a friend from my other forum I visit - a goonies one - and well, I've never looked back after I posted up my 'Goonies Never Say Die' sequel script!!! I really like it here, everyone is so very forthcoming and friendly.

Hope to hear more from the rest of you guys and gals!

Take care!

I am Rob.  Hello y'all.

I just finished my junior year in college.  Yeepee!  I'm a CSC major.  I"m entering a computer programming contest next fall.  That's gonna be really exciting.

I am 23 and married.

I met a really great friend here on this board.  Lesley, whenever you decide to drop by here again, I just want to say hello.

Wow, other than that, I can't think of anything.  I must be a really boring guy.

Rob..how would a computer contest go exactly? Never heard of one before. Do you have to build a PC the quickest or something?

My name is Cary and I am the biggest asshole you will ever meet... My ego is the only thing that comes bigger than the prick I am in my daily life. I've just recently went from 197 pounds to 215lbs within a span of a month... that's a goal I didn't think would be possible for me to meet, nore did any of the people at the gym... but alot of alcholic beverages, mc donalds, salmon, steak, and about 5 to 7 other meals a day and with the help of my new friend "Vasotech" I've done it.

My main goal in life is to be as blunt and honest as possible, if you don't like me... here's a clue... I don't care.

I enjoy working out. Reading. Writing. Learning magic tricks to bed down bar hoes. I love riddles and jokes. I love movies. Horror movies. Talking to people, even if they are below me. I like new things. I like new people. I like new idea's. I like big idea's. I like giving people the benifit of the doubt, but rarely do they ever come thru for me.

I just moved.

I've never felt so alone, but been more alive than I have been the last year. The last month I've really been a different person and I feel for the better. People approach me in a new light now and I like that. I'm much more direct and focused in my daily life now and feel I can do anything I want to do, just as long as I believe in myself... I don't need anyone else.

This is me and that is that. Where did the chicken fly to without wings to guide you?

Balt~

P.S.

Oh I forgot to list all my work here earlier... so here goes.

and a few others I'm not mentioning I'm sure... lots and lots of stuff.

I've got so much to post here, but a lot of it is placement stuff. I don't want any of my stuff to be out of place or not read or just thrown up for thrown up sakes. I want people to want to read it and to want to like it, love it or hate it... I want people in return to like, love or hate me... I don't like this inbetween bullshit.

When you see my new stuff... you'll walk away with a feelings of one thing and this much is true... you haven't seen or read anything like it before.

I might sound a bit over ego driven, but when you've got it... you got it. I think I write some of the best horror around and anyone who sells me short, well they don't know what they're talking about.

and yes... I'm really this big of an asshole. Just read my sig.

Andy,
It's a computer programming contest.  You design and create a computer program that will be judged.  It's a team competition, 3 people per team.  Other than that, I don't know that much about it except that I'm gonna be part of a team.  And I can't back out because I gave my computer science professor my word that I'll be a part of it.

You sound like you want to back out of it...? Do you? Are you nervous?

Is it like Visual Basic programming or C++/ Java type stuff?

Good luck Rob

I am nervous.  I want to win and I'm a little afraid of not living up to the expectations put on me by computer science professors and myself.  I don't want to disappoint anybody in the school by my performance in the contest.

A part of me wants to back out because the fall semester for me is gonna be really tough and I really could use the extra spare time.  But I'm gonna do it because I told my professor I will.

It is like Visual Basic programming, C++, Java, that type of stuff.  I hope it's Java or Visual Basic since I'm more knowledgeable in those languages.

Oh no! Don't be so nervous, or at least try not to be!!

Yeah there might be pressure to perform, but once you're there, you'll switch off and just zone out into the programming stuff, you will!!!

Could you have a practice run with the other two people some day, to give you a taste of what to expect? That way, the prospect won't be so daunting?..Maybe?

If you are doing it because of a promise, then so be it, and just do your best. If you can find a replacement, who wouldn't mind stepping in though and if it doesn't inconvenience your friends, then wouldn't your professor be understanding of that? He's there to support you at the end of the day.

Whatever you decide, just don't worry about expectations, do it for you and do the best you can!!!!

We're gonna get a lot of practice.  We'll be as prepared as we can be come time to do the thing.  I don't think I'll be able to find a good replacement if I decide to go that route, which I won't.  I'm gonna participate in the contest.  Once I get a little bit of practice, my nervousness should go away, I hope.  I will do my best.  That's all I can really do, give it my all and put my best foot forward.

You know what I'd do if I was you ROB... Pour some Gas over it and throw a match on it. If you let someone down, so be it... it isn't the 1st time I'm sure and it won't be the last. People expect too much out of everyone these days. How many times has someone let you down? Weight that with how many times you've let someone else down and see who comes out on top... I'll be you 9 to 1 that you've come thru more than most have come thru for you.

It happeneds to me everyday. Don't depend on others cause when you do... you get screwed! Take the bull by the balls, slap a rubber band around them and whack them tuckers off!

If you fail at your little computer side project here, you've always got barber college, right?

Good luck on all this, though, seriously

What you need to do is program a virus that will destroy everyone elses project. That way you'll win on so many different levels.

You're right Wes. I don't know if people feel comfortable talking about themselves though? I don't mind, doesn't bother me none....

Quick rundown...

Future stuff ->
Like I said before, I will be travelling round the states at the end of the summer, so until then, I have my goonies event to look forward to. After that, I will be pretty lost without it! It's been the most rewarding thing I have ever worked on in my life and been the main focus for the past year!! I shall suffer from "Post Goonies Event Syndrome", I will.

I could get started on the 25th reunion though, lol!! << not yet, not for another few years>>

I cannot wait to see what it will be like to work in Canada either. I hear a lot of good things about the folks who live there and look forward to seeing the beauty of the country and all it has to offer....

Present stuff ->
I want to remain single and have some FUN and just meet as many people as possible, especially when I travel and then work abroad. I've decided I've had it with relationships, just not worth it for me now, but that's a good thing though. Too much too young and got my fingers burnt too. But as the saying goes, I will be stronger for it. So it ain't all bad afterall.

Learnt more about myself this past year than I thought I ever would. I know now the person I want to be and I am happy with that. I also feel as though my life has been on hold for too long and I just know I'm ready for the next chapter to begin... I just love knowing that anything can happen now and I don't know what to expect... I'm at a big crossroads in my life and well, I can go in any direction I please and that freedom to do so is what gives me hope.

Dating isn't on my list of priorities either!! Had one bad experience years ago and well... I don't think I could trust another again so well now anyways. I would probably bombard the guy with too many questions and freak him out, lol!!! I often talk too much though when I'm nervous, so I would make a lousy date anyway

Would still like one date, a proper one though, just to see if it's what it's cracked up to be. You know, get dressed up and answer the door to a nice looking man... flowers... kiss on the cheek... a girl can dream, right?

Past stuff ->
Believe it or not, I went to a convent school for girls!! Haha! It was brilliant. Some of my teachers were nuns and they just kicked ass!! Very cool people. Not overly religious even though it was a catholic school, yet I am Greek Orthodox, weird. The convent used to be a boarding school and had a very real Harry Potter feel about it all. Loved it!!!!

Have visited a fair bit of the states already, did a big 8000 mile roadtrip of the west coast with my ex in 2003 and saw so many things I will never forget. Highly recommend taking to the open road in your own little car - a hire car is even better, you crash it, you get a new one, lol!! So much freedom and spontaneity there.

Had a strict upbringing, never looked at a boy till I was... um... late teens I think, or more like my dad wouldn't let me, lol! So, been a bit sheltered in that department... hopefully travelling will bring me out of myself more now.

~

So that's me, in a nutshell, hope more people can open up here, otherwise the thread is wasted and I'm the only one rambling on..... ...   ... "hello, anybody home?.. think McFly think..!"

Andy x

PS - So far this year I learnt that you never really know anyone but yourself and the only person I can trust is myself.

When something is too good to be true, better believe that. When you believe in love/someone you get screwed over, not just a bit, but a lot.

You don't get anywhere being nice all the time. A**holes always get what they want and don't care who they hurt along the way.

Well, what can I say. I've been trolling the site for a while, reading stuff like "The Lunchroom" a lot, among some other scripts.

My name is Jason Gulati, I'm 19, and I drink a lot of beer. I'm a journalism major at the University of Missouri.  I'm home from college right now, and it is boring as hell. But on the flipside, it's given me plenty of time to revise my screenplays and touch up on new ideas. I've written screenplays since I was a freshman in high school, though I still haven't written that many. I'm mostly a comedy writer, I can't see myself writing anything else at this point.

The first one, entitled "The Bitch War", was an off-the-wall gag about people I didn't like in junior high. It wasn't written to entertain anyone besides a few friends, and got me into a lot of trouble... that's what I get for using real names. The second one was meant for a larger audience, it was a comical teen romance called "Thinking of Sara". Probably my first legitimate attempt at screenwriting.

Unfortunately, these two are gone due to a series of freak computer accidents. In the future, I plan to re-write these. In the meantime, here's what I've got on my plate:

Beginnings (working title) - a comedy series about six teens starting high school together in Spokane, Washington. Two episodes completed, a third in the works.

Untitled Mockumentary - man, I've never been good with titles. This is supposed to be a mockumentary comedy, a series about life in college, some of it based on true stories. I'm still hashing out the pilot.

so basically, all I have that's complete are two episodes of Beginnings, the second of which I still need to polish up a lot. I'll submit the pilot, it still needs work but it's been through a couple drafts.

well, I'm excited to hear what you guys think and hope I get around to meeting you all.

Beginnings - It's high school all over again. Seriously. (now fixed and cleaned!)

I know I've done this all before.  But hey.  I'm feeling happy.

Lesley, 26, script development intern.  Wow... a lottttaa crap out there, let me tell you.  And in my paid gig, I half do a bunch of clerical nonsense for a marketing company that sends test audiences to free movie screenings, half watch the flicks myself every now and again before they come out (and still get paid).  LOL, but (from what I can remember) I saw "Monster in Law", "The Perfect Man" and most recently, "Land of the Dead", so I guess it's a job perk.  A free movie's a free movie.  Queen of the "been there and done that".  Balt thinks he's "in yo face"?  Yeah, I ain't gonna disagree from all that up there and on the last page, but I would say I'm a more of different spin on that.  Again, call it life experience.  But I never held back on anything I ever wanted to say.  Not my kind of thing.

I've got a couple of shorts up on this site.  They've pretty much been forgotten, but it's nice to see an email every now and again from someone showing interest.  Hey, thanks.  What I've really been working on (and now I actually have an honest to God deadline of the end of the month because I have recently garnered interest from higher ups in it) is a feature length near and dear to my heart because it's based on an experience I went through last summer.  Embellished a bit of course.  So that's currently in its fourth draft.

But yeah, aside from mixing with Hollywood types now and again - a few hits, a few misses, you know how it goes - I'm still trying to find my way, same as everyone else.  I've got a good feeling though.

Side note:  Rob, you are too awesome for words and ya know this.  Thanks for keeping up with me even though I wasn't around much of the time.  Always was thinking of you though!  Lately, I've also been getting to know Andy, who I strongly feel is a really positive girl with a good head on her shoulders.  Hon, whatever don't kill you...

And that's about enough of that.  Thanks for the vent session.

true love waits... i guess.

Lesley, your job sounds too cool. I know it's probably hard work and not very rewarding, but still, at least you are making a real headstart in the biz - well done hon!!

We're the same age, lol! Though I'll beat ya to 27 as I remember you're a february gal....5th I believe?! If I'm right, I have a damn good memory, if I do say so myself. If I'm wrong, how embarrassing!

Hope to see you on the boards more

~

Alan... only 24! Wow, you seem older, in a good way. Pass on my thanks to Sasorkat too - he's been a real gem to get to know.

4 siblings, eh?!! How do you have time to write with so many people around you???

Fortunately for me, I came out of university without debt, I was very, very lucky, but I have friends who will be paying their loans of for many years to come. This will sound stupid, but try to not let the fear of debt get you too down. I'm not saying don't be weary of it, by all means do what you're doing, you have the right attitude and at least you're aware of the pitfalls of these collection agencies. I just think you have enough positivity and belief in you to still achieve the goals and dreams you have set for yourself, no matter what anyone else says or thinks of you - screw them!!

University doesn't have to be the 'be all and end all' of everything, trust me. I flunked the first 2 years of my course, but then I had no interest in them to begin with - mental note, don't bother doing stuff which you couldn't care less about, what's the point?! I graduated with ok results, but my heart wasn't in it and it showed. I admire you for being proactive with your interests and attitude to read up on stuff which you know will benefit you. I am quite lazy in that dept, I'd rather ask someone than have to pick up a huge text book!!

Best wishes

SasorKat should get his own talk show.

Well ... I got used to having six siblings around me, but two of them moved.  I write when everything's quiet, between the hours of 1am, to 4am.  But other than that, ignorance is the key.

You'd stay up that late if you had proper motivation ... or absolutely none.

Hello to everyone!

I am new to this board and have only been able to read a little here and there. From what I have been able to read, everyone here seems to have exception skills!

As much as I used to enjoy writing, I find that I am always without time to even begin anything! My name is Zane, and I am so lucky as to dwell in the lovely and flat lands of Kansas City. While you will probably not see a script out of me, I truly enjoy reading as much as possible. On that note, good luck to everyone out there and keep up the fascinating work!

Cheers!

Speaking of line theft........

Love the site and thanks for the recommendation. There is such much to read, kind of overwhelming at the start. I will continue my journey of reading through every genre known to man.

Later on!

Z

Ah, the flat lands of Kansas. Drove through there on a few occasions between Oklahoma and Colorado. Zane, we're not too far apart. I'm actually in northeastern OKlahoma. It's where I call home until the movie gods call me to wherever it is they live and make movies they need for me to write....

So that ppl can know me better!

My name is Oney Mendoza, my real name is Jim. Oney was just a nickname growing up, but virtually everyone calls me Oney now. I am 19 and I live in San Diego, future resident and student of SF state. I am Serbian(Yugoslavian) and Spanish, weird combo huh?

I am a interpreter for the deaf at the San Diego Courthouse downtown...I translate to judges, DA's, lawyers, public defendes, and the "jailed" LOL. The job also consists of prepping judges and public defenders about upcoming case(esp if it has been more than 1 month since their last court date). It's a fast pace job, I don't like it...but the money is good  I also study biology, physiology, and English(of course), but I have no clue what I want to do later in life. Biology REALLY interests me....but..um...I don't know LOL. As for my writing "career", it'll never happen, but it's been a hobby of mine since 5-6th grade.

I'm a lousy bf also, seriously I don't know why. One of my last relationships felt like it belonged in a soap opera.

I'm also a chain smoking, meth addict! No...only kidding. But I do smoke(cigarettes) once in awhile, never tried dope and never will. I only drink once in a blue moon, I don't like drinking very much, I'm not the type of person who has a better time while drunk or buzzed...I'm the type where my head is pounding and I feel like I have my stomach in my throat, and that's only after one shot of...well anything! Yeah...sad, I know...my friends always laugh.

Hey there Oney - I mean Jim!

I totally must be thick as I cannot see how Oney was derived from your name!! Nice to meet you properly. San Diego is cool, I loved the wildlife park there, would love to check it out again.

Seribian and Spanish mix, wow, quite unusual. I am a Greek Cypriot from the lovely little island of Cyprus which is now classed as a European country. It's also knows as the island of love...

Your job sounds rather tough! Wow, I thought I had it bad in the legal industry. Yours sounds way more interesting than mine.

Oh no! Im,sure you're not really a lousy boyf! I'm here to help, should you want a female perspective on things. I will refrain from using foul language as I have now shattered the illusions of all the lovely chaps on this board that I am a lady. Oh well, gotta start from scratch again, lol!

I could totally drink you under the table then if you aren't up for more than one shot!Haha!  If I do get to hang out with Phil in New York, I will most certainly put my money where my mouth is and have a few drinks with him and his wife!

Lovely getting to know you, this thread often gets neglected and the section is underused in general.

Speak soon! Andy xxx

Speaking of which, this has always interested me, do all the American states have nicknames/joke names?

I looked at Kansas city/Missouri on a map and it's rather square, no funky shape.... Do they all have cool nicknames as per their shape and location sort of thing?

I noticed that Florida looks rather phallic shaped... I wonder if it's been the butt of any jokes? Montana looks like it has an old man's side face profile! How spooky is that?!

Also, how in the heck do "Y'ALL" remember all the damn states you have?! ...See Zane, I still know my Kansas City talk
I think you've rubbed off on me now!

Good to hear from someone stuck in the midwest George. Sounds like you have experienced the agony of the road trip from here to Colorado. I hope that call comes to you soon, just dont forget about those of us still suck in the corn mazes!

Dear god Andy, phallic shaped? LOL

As for all the states, they tend to pound that into your head at an early age, and even have a "bloody" song that lists them all in alphabetical order!

....and dont try messin' with my brit-speak!

LMAO! Well... it does look like a todger... I would've thought you'd have nicknames for all of them!

How in the world does that 'bloody' state song go then? Never heard of that one!

Your brit speak is coming on in leaps and bounds!!Haha! Well, I better go look me up some more dodgy looking states...

I love road trips by the way! It's so fun driving from state to state - I love the way each one is completely different. Just don't stop for hitchhikers...

Later, y'all

PS - I will place my new ad up here - “Single lady looking for someone to watch me sleep, butterflies a bonus”  - Could you imagine the kinds of replies to that?!!

I am going to let someone else get you the words to that song!

Enjoy your hunt for perverted states.

You should be careful with that ad, it could get you snogged!

Adios!

My name's Bruce. I love movies. They're practically my life. I'll watch them daily, after school of course. I'm 17. I love music too, I'll always have my ipod on.
I have depression, and its a sonofabitch, but I'm getting better. I write and I feel somewhat better.

I've written three short scripts which I hope to get up here soon:

His Revenge
The Predator
Forget the other one's name

Check out The Predator

Also by me:
His Revenge
Voices

My name is Steve, I'm 19, Gemini, and too enjoy long walks on the beach (except when I get sand in my crack) But seriously, I started writing my senior year in high school, so for about two years now, and I love it. I take my work seriously and writing has really helped me out a lot. Music has also influenced my a lot as well. I love movies and writing is all I want to do with my life. I also want to get into directing. I will be making my first film during the summer from a short horror film I am currently writing entitled "Dead or Alive". My finished works are already listed down below on my signature. But I do have a bunch of...

FUTURE PROJECTS IN THE WORKS:

The Atheist's Guide to Something Better  (drama/thriller)
What Is "Normal"? part 2  (action/thriller/horror)
.Therapy  (thriller)
Little Green Men  (Sci. Fi./thriller)
King Vito  (crime drama)
RaBiD  (action/horror)
Linking Rings  (comedy)

...Now all I need's time and inspiration.

"Picture Porky Pig raping Elmer Fudd" - George Carlin
"I have to sign before you shoot me?" - Navin Johnson
"It'll take time to restore chaos" - George W. Bush
"Harry, I love you!" - Ben Affleck
"What are you looking at, sugar t*ts?" - The man without a face
"Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death." - Exodus 31:15
"No one ever expects The Spanish Inquisition!" - The Spanish Inquisition
"Matt Damon" - Matt Damon
