Michael Bay??? ahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!

I don't think I'll be voting on this one. What's your criteria for selecting these directors?

What the hell is Tony Scott doing there?

Where are people like Kubrick, Hitchcock, Welles, Spielberg, even Cameron?

Obviously you'll never satisfy everyone but your choices seem strange.

Where the hell is Michael Mann, M. Night Shamylan... Whoever made this poll really needs to watch Signs, the Village, Man on Fire, COLLATERAL! You really need to get your directors straight. Who the hell is Tony Scott.... wow... You don't know much about movies do you?

Michael Mann
M. Night Shamylon
Steven Spielburg
Alfred Hitchcock
Stanley Kubrick...

Damn... This poll is just.... NEVER MAKE A POLL AGAIN please... Sorry if im being harsh here...

I'm with Requiem. When it comes to directors, Alfred Hitchcock is the man. Kubrick is one of the greats. How can you forget Steven Spielberg? And what about the old greats like Cecil B. DeMille? I'm kind of wondering what your standard was for picking directors was. I went ahead and just picked Wes Craven...

Well, firstly, I do know a hell of alot about movies. I put those names cos it gives a different kind of pole. As for the names, well there just wasn't enough spaces, plus I tried to put ones that people might know simply from them being a fan of that film. Cos I'm not sure who does this pole. Someone may vote on it but not be a film fan, but base it on them recently watching a film and thinking it was good, then if the directors name is in the list, he or she would vote. Either way, yes I didn't put Kubrick or Mann, though Thief is one of his best. I guess there wasn't enough room.     Quoted from Huggybear

Hey if you've got a film question for me I'll answer it. One thing I know is films that's for sure.   And as for hitchcock, what can I say - brilliant.

I can't believe you have a POLL on best director and not added the all time all star, Well mine anyway. JAMES CAMERON. Come on, you can't overlook cameron's contributions in the industry.
