So who do you want to see as the next Bond then?

What look does the actual Bond agent have to have?

Basically, what checklist do you need to pass to be a James Bond?

Also, are the actors who've played Bond anything like the ones in the 007 books that I've heard about?

I think Dermot Mulroney would look pretty sharp...

Not sure on who I would like to see, but they MUST be eurpean. He must have black hair, chisled facial features, and a smooth way about himself. Also, I would prefer an unknown actor that could jump in and run with the next five or six films. We all know that 007 films will continue on till the end of time.......

When it come to casting people, I stink. I've seen virtual series fully cast, so for a lark, I tried to see what I could come up with. Yeah, I stink. It's one of those things that I would know if I saw it.

In Casino Royale, Fleming alludes to Bond resembling Hoagy Carmichael. The book description of Bond is like this: a three-inch, vertical scar on his left cheek (which is not in the movies); blue-grey eyes; a "cruel" mouth; short-cut, dark hair, a comma of which falls on his forehead, and (after Casino Royale) the faint scar of the Russian cyrillic letter "SH" on the back of one of his hands (a gift from the SMERSH agent who bailed him out). SMERSH is Bond's primary rival in the books. It is two Russian words, Smiert Spionam, mashed together. They mean "death to spies."

Timothy Dalton is commonly accepted to have best fit this decription. But see for yourself...here is a drawing of Bond commissioned by Ian Fleming for the Daily Express comic book artists:

Thinking over the actors, I do stand with the Dalton crowd in appearance, though I like what the other actors did with the character as well.

What's it take? Bond was a womanizer, smoker, drinker, and gambler. Although Bond apparently kicked the smoking habit in Tomorrow Never Dies, he does enjoy a Cuban cigar in Die Another Day.

Dermot Mulroney? He might be ok, but he's American. Bond is Scottish. Fleming was so pleased with Connery's performance at Bond that he decided that's where Bond descends from. Beyond Connery, Lazenby was Australian, Moore was English, Dalton was Italian/Welsh (but born in Wales), and Brosnan is Irish. I think we should try to keep the actor from the UK.

Now I'm going to be thinking all day for a British actor who fits the James Bond description!!

Hmmm, I will get back to you if I can think of anyone based on the criteria above.

I like some of the Bond films, I do. My favourite is the one with that Jaws bloke. Was it Moonraker/Moonstalker??? The one wear he kissed the girl with the braces, so sweet

Roger Moore was the one in Moonraker.

My fav would have to be Sean Connery, the guy was so cool.

Going by the drawing, I will be a million miles away in saying Christain Bale ( sp, the new Batman guy).  I know he's not English but that just shows my casting abilty lol.

Quoted from Scoob
Roger Moore was the one in Moonraker.

Of course it was good old Roger. My favourite and the sexiest Bond, hands down.
