hi guys, I just signed up and I was hoping that I could get to know everyone else a bit better through this thread.  I'm 24 and currently live down in Santa Monica, CA, in the LA area.  I'm a writer, and hope that other people recognize me as one someday.

Welcome to the board. Have fun, settle in...read some scripts and don't be shy to offer advice or jump into some convo.

If you decide to submit some work, we all look forward to it.

Welcome

Hey Nate.  The "heads up" on the Director's Series DVDs looks interesting -- way to jump right into the spirit of things, man.  I'll have to see if I can find those on Netflix.

Hey, it's my tiny, little IMDb!

Hi Everyone.  I found this site a few days ago, and have been reading some of the scripts so I figured I'd sign up for the message board and maybe submit some stuff.  I just sent in a VERY rough first draft of a story I finished some time ago called The Odds of Love, and I was hoping to get some feedback on what works and what doesn't before going back to format and rewrite.  Well, time to get back to reading.  I look forward to reading everyone's stuff.

This is an amazing site to learn from. It's a great outlet for writers of all typed, really. I don't know what I'd do if this site wasnt' in operation... I mean, not in life in general, but with my writing. I honestly don't think I would've ever gotten so involved with writing had it not been for this site.

I mean, I loved to come up with ideas and work them into plots and such but this site helped me learn to make them ideas and make the plots I came up with seem logical. I contribute much of my work to this site, cause had it not been for this site I'd never have fully learned the format. I'd never have read so many scripts... I love and enjoy reading scripts, I do. I don't so much like reading produced stuff, rather the unproduced stuff... it helps me focus and try to visualize what the scene would look like more.

Cause if I've seen the movie and then try to read the script.. well, it's already playing in my head.

Anyways, my ramblngs are going on here... Welcome to the site. G'luck with your writing.
