You use the lava lamp term alot, and Im not quite sure what it means, I assume like attention or something. Whatever it is, I most likely agree with you, phil. No need to start a thread about your sig, we see it all the time anyway.

you put jamie kenedys head on Neves body and the scream mask next to shaggy (matthew lillard) made it blue and put your name on it. it's ok, nothing TOO great.

I still think that belongs to others on this board Bert but they delete them before anyone sees them. Except me because I'm the all seeing eye.

You are correct. The cliche dates back to times before there were Kevin Revie sock puppets and certain individuals tended to steal the spotlight far too much. And it came to pass in those days that a certain enterprising individual first spouted the phrase "under the lava lamp." And the people did cheer. And the women tossed babies in the air. And there was much joy, celebration, drinking, and sacrificing of short, bad scripts. And the Don of the board did inscribe this sacred phrase to be used when someone decides they want to have attention, and it is times like those that the person sits under the lava lamp - under that mystical flow of energy casting the dim light of wonder over the thoughts and ambitions better left to the darkness of your local blue room.
And now comes the time that I will step out from under the lava lamp, and return its wondrous light to those who think they are worthy of its splender.
Hey, it's dark in here now...

And now it pays homage to the king of honesty and one of the greats as writing goes. My signature is just a quote I found and thought it was something different than begging for reads like some people.
