I've been aware of this site for about six months now, and have no doubt that it is the best online screenwriting site I have come across. I've been a big film buff all my life. I've been interested in writing and film making for about ten years. I've made a few short films that were okay, but I'm now setting my sights on writing a feature length screenplay in 2006. In fact it is one of my new years resolutions to knock off a first draft this year. My major influences are mainly foreign and independant cinema. However I'll watch mainstream fare if it is good. Eg;Sin City, The Aviator and Million Dollar Baby were all films I loved in 2005. So hopefully I'll get cracking and have something for you to review in the near future. And of course I hope I can help you guys out by giving you feedback on your work. So Hi, and I wish you the best of luck with your writing this year.

Hiya! I have a new found love of Takeshi Kitano now!! I watched "Kikujiro" the other day and absolutely loved it. I'd only seen him in Battle Royale previously and was impressed by him in that, but his acting in 'Kikujiro' surpassed that one majorly!

Just had to say that and welcome by the way!!

Thanks for the welcome Andy. And yes Kikujiro is a great film. Takeshi Kitano really is a well rounded artist. You should also check out Hana-Bi (Fireworks), that's worth a rent.

Indeed, I own a copy. Loved the chopstick in the eye scene and I also dug the paintings. It's a great display of artistic sensitivity in harmony with hardcore violence, what a combo.
