What do you consider your best script?

Mine would obviously be THE RECLUSE but when MAPLE WOODS is done writing i think i'll have a better favorite.

I would say "Fazad" is one of my better scripts so far. But I've only done three.

My favorite script would probably be Kiss Of The Locust. It's the most fun and goriest script I've written. I also had the best time writing it since it was my first script. My thoughts upon finishing it were like "Wow! I wrote a script!" unlike the recent ones where my thoughts have been along the lines of "I'm finally finished." It's hard to pick favorites though because I love all my scripts. I guess I picked this one because I wrote it such a long time ago and it feels more like someone else's script now, which is the closest I'll get to seeing it like everyone else does. The others haven't reached that point yet.

House Of God is definitely my best though. It's the most sophisticated in terms of character development, dialogue, pace, and format. It's also the darkest, creepiest, and most original script I've written IMO. I definitely creeped myself out once or twice writing this one.

I can never pick a favorite anything really, but I'll do my best...

Of the two I've posted on Simply Scripts, I think Wrath of God is my favorite.  Made me think while writing it and so far anyone who's read it said they loved that it left them to draw their own conclusions.

Overall, though, one of the three I'm writing right now is called Tainted Badges, about a political murder in 1956 Chicago.  Though, I'm also fond of a horror/comedy I'm working on called Little Things That Kill.

Well, like I said, I can't pick a favorite anything.

Expect No Mercy is my choice, but I don't really have that many other scripts up right now.

I don't have a favorite.  I'm never satisfied enough with my own work.

Mine would have to be The Fempiror Chronicles as a whole. To pick out one of the parts to be the top of the top, I believe the Fempiror series pilot, Lost and Found, ranks as one of my favorites.

My favorite non-Fempiror script is Jagged, but I believe it's still listed as Bring Me To Life 2. I wrote it for someone else, but it turned out really, really well, and to me ranks as one of my all around best scripts ever...even though no one has really read it.

How much do you get when a script is optioned?

How long is a piece of string? You can't expect much (or anything) for shorts since they don't make money. A lot depends on the producer you're dealing with and the structure of the deal. There is no single answer.

Back on topic:

I'm like Greg in that I'm never satisfied with anything I write. I'm happy with the way 'Open Your Mind' is shaping up though. It's my first foray into Sci-Fi/Horror and so far it looks promising. I'll probably re-read it in a few weeks and absolutely hate it, but that's just me

JF, my friend, I'll get some money just from one these options, but I'm not expecting any money with my short scripts, because I just to give these producers just the rights to film a short movie only. (for god sake they are for free!) If someone wants to do a feature film for example, or a series, or a book, or a novel, or a play based on them that rights will be mine!

I think Dead and Walking was my best script. I've gotten some pretty good reviews on that one.

See, now that's why I just go for the whole thing. That is a good one. But there are parts of The Hunt for The Razers that I really like too.

That's like making me pick which of my children is my favorite.

Not the ugly one, I can tell you that much. Journey, just because I actually finished the damn thing.

I have always felt that L.I.F.E The Shawn Carter Story was my underappreciated feature length film (The only one I finished) and it would probably be the best if I'd release it on a wide scale, fix some of the spelling/grammar problems and ultimately make the opening scene better.

But if you go by what others tell you I'd have to go with my series because it sparked a reaction out of people that nothing else I've written has.

I'd have to say my favorite is the one I'm writing right now "The Valet".

I've been working on this one for a while now, 50 pages into it, and taking my time to create decent scenes with good transitions.

I had holes in the story, but Kevan helped me with that and it filled the gap.

I'm very excited about this one as I watch it unfold a little bit more each day.

The Burnout I like because I spent so much time developing it.  Pugumentary, OTOH, is being produced and I'm playing a very active role in it.

Will there be any way for us to see "Pugumentary" ?

I'm assuming that it will be making the film festival circuit so, at first, that will be the only way to see it.

The shooting script is different from the spec script posted here.  There's a couple of more characters in it (neighbors).
