I come in 5th because I use your series yay, I feel so loved ha-ha If not I wouldn't even be on it, sad really don't you think? No hard feelings though, I don't have the time to play petty games.

No.  I usually put you in second place because you reference my stuff.  I figured it's time to stop lying and put you in fifth.  You're still above a lot of people from THE LUNCHROOM and STAR TREK: RENAISSANCE.

You do realize how pathetic that makes you look, right?

The only reason you pretend to like my series is because you have some sick obsession with seeing your stuff in print and yet have lied for about a year now to me. I guess I'm lucky you never actually review anything that isn't yours or people might take you seriously which will be hard now after you just spit on your credibility as a human being, friend and fellow writer.

I have a lot of respect for your work but I have now lost about every ounce of respect I had for you, now I see the true face.

Chris....J.F....Whatever you like,

I think it's a little weird to be talking about respect, when Fazad means "Fuck You" in Polish.

I didn't really know thats what it meant in Polish. It's just the name of a book I adapted and its the name of the world. That has nothing to do with what I just said, though. I didn't come up with "Fazad", like I said, but if I knew Polish, I wouldn't have posted that title.

The way Alan post is said, it seems like his head is a bit to large...

Wesley's Better Days cracks me up -- but it ain't for everybody.

For Series, however, nothing here can touch George's Fempiror Chronicles.

Unbiased (if somewhat subjective) truth.

(And Mike, please tell me that's really true.)

Your series reminds me of some of the reasons I like TWITCH CITY and other Canadian comedies such as TRAILER PARK BOYS.  I like your series, and the fact that you reference mine is a bonus which makes you my second favourite series writer on these boards, but that does not mean that you're the second best one.  Where skill is concerned, you have not displayed better than Bruce or Edward or George.

As for "sick obsession" to see my stuff in print, it's called I'm poor and I want my writing to be what digs me out of my rut.  I need references whereever I can get them -- the only thing I'm obsessed with is survival ... and a certain woman, but that's another story.

Peace.

putting yourself in first place is absurd.

If I don't put myself in first place, I have never in my entire life known anyone else who has put me in first place.  Besides, read the serials completely, and compare whichever dramatic methods are used by all of them, and I'll win in those comparisons.  Betcha I'm right.

Bert I do agree about Fempiror.

I hate when people take something as sacred as your lifes work and tell you lies for a year just to get themselves a few references, luckily I haven't started the film or I'd be stuck using said references. I guess on the bright side the truth came out before I go into production on the filmed version.

That's the only part about it that pisses me off, how do you waste a fucking year of your life to get a few references in a series that you don't even like? Going even further, you cried to me about Andrew's SS screenplay because in your words "He hurt your series if a producer were to come by" and now well I'm just disgusted that I have to be on the same site as you.

... *grumble* ...

The house I live in, along with six other family members, goes to auction on February 25th unless we come up with almost $2000 more than we have ... and that's like four or five days from now, and we're all quite hungry.  The internet is an ESCAPE from reality, the only place where I can and do put myself on a pedastal.

So Wesley's in a bad mood because of how I worded something.  He's still a good guy, and so am I.

I understand how a series can be a life's work.  My series is my life's work.  That's why I was honored that you referenced my life's work within something as valuable to you as your life's work.  I enjoy BETTER DAYS a lot.  The references add to my enjoyment, but it's still really good without the references.  I see you're quite mad.  I used the phrase "I lied" tongue-in-cheek as a way to reply to how you worded your reply to my message about the ranking.  Your series is my second favorite because it references my life's work.  My life's work is my first favourite.  However, where talent is concerned, my ranking was about talent, not about which is my favourite.

But this time I'm not the reason it started!!! Yay! I'm just really blown away at how Alan thinks he's more talented then all of the other writers...my opinion still stands...George Wilson's Fempior(spell?) Chronicles is the greatest series to ever be posted on SS.

Good point.  It's just my opinion.

*cough*

"Genius ... beyond Einsteinian Brilliance. The Dialogue was hilarious, the story soared, the action was greater, and beneath it all, it actually had some meaning, unlike a lot of Anime out their. YOU RULE, ALAN!!!! peace out." -- Sheepdogg Plankton

"I'd go with Banana Chan because it's a masterpiece that anyone can enjoy" -- Wesley Faelyn

"I just read the first three episodes and they are AMAZING." -- Andrew Roby

".. slays me everytime I think about it. I love this series ... Keep it up, Alan ... I'm not much of an anime/manga fan, but I do like your story!" -- F.S. Kessler

"i really like banana chan ... an adorable little concept and i find myself really interested in what's going on. dialogue is spot on. characters are sooo cute. those drawings are pretty kick ass. you've hooked me. lovely job. you're quite the talented one, mr. holman. ... very poetic.... amazing. you have an amazing talent. I've always believed that. You keep me laughing, which is so great. You have countless episodes of countless series and they all seem to have a unique voice, a unique set of individuals. I mean, you really connect to what you write - no matter what it is - and that's incredible to me." -- LesleyJl21

"hahaha
i really enjoyed episode three
i really like the humour
keep it up!" -- TheParadoxicalShaman

"your Banana Chan show is pretty solid ... its far beyond anything I could ever write." -- thenewpulp

Okay, Honestly, this is ridiculous.  Everyone was asked a question about their opinoins.  He gave his, if you don't like his opinions, thats your opinion, and you can either keep it to yourself, or PM him.  This board is not the place for arguing about anyones concieted nature.

Alan thinks he's more talented then all of the other writers...

I said that my series displays better talent than the other serials, as a whole serial -- IN MY OPINION.  There are screenplays on this site which display better talent than I have.  There are single episodes of other serials which blow away single episodes of my serial.  But as a whole, it's a better serial, IN MY OPINION.

I don't need this antagonism on the net.  I come to the net to get away from a world where people are always mad at me for things I didn't do, and the woman I love doesn't reply to my messages ... *sigh*

I think this is an argument best left for private conversation.  I've read some of Alan's "Cara Chan," and if he wants call himself #1 that's fine, because he is a very talented writer.  Sometimes you need an ego in order to get your work out there, nothing wrong with that.

But everything in this thread beyond that is turning into something ugly.  Just smile and say alright.

It has nothing to do with my writing or yours, I feel you've used me for a year and the fact that you didn't even like my series as much as you kept telling me just makes the whole thing worse. (I have the pm's so please try to deny that, the truth has all been preserved.)

Thanks

I don't talk about that series.  All 12 episodes have been online for a long time, but no one's told me they've read all 12 episodes.  I don't have other people's comments to post to back me up when people attack my honesty.  Remember in KILL BILL 2 when that fighting master says that he's the best?  He had no ego when he said that; he said it as a fact.  Anyone who reads all of the stuff I've posted will know that I'm not speaking with ego when I say that IN MY OPINION I'm the best serial writer here.

I never thought I’d say this, but I agree with Jesus Freak about how conceited Alan is. I can’t believe the arrogance he gets away with and nobody calls him on it (until Wesley did). Then when someone does, he gets defended. I don’t get it. Throwing in my one cent, I think Alan is completely full of it.

Every time Alan badmouths someone else and ticks them off, in his mind, it’s always the fault of the person he badmouths. They misunderstood him. It’s always the victim’s fault because they actually has the audacity to call him on his crap.

He almost never reads anyone else’s work. He’s 100% self serving. He’s so full of himself that he even has to quote himself in his sig.

I don’t buy it, Alan. You and your family are starving but yet you can afford to be on the internet. If my family were going hungry and in danger of losing our home, you can bet I wouldn’t have time to be on the computer. I would be too busy working to make sure my family didn’t starve.

You’ll have to find someone more gullible to test your lies on. You are pathetic and unscrupulous. That’s my opinion.

Nice to meet you too

Please post a quote of me "badmouthing" someone.  I'll either defend my actions or apologise.  I don't like how you're accusing me of badmouthing without citing a specific incident.

Quoted from Breanne Mattson
He almost never reads anyone else’s work. He’s 100% self serving. He’s so full of himself that he even has to quote himself in his sig.

My goal has always been to act and write myself, my family, and deserving friends, out of uncertain financial situations.  Not only that, but I've put material in my scripts which give subtle messages that will help prevent audience members from encountering real problems which fictional situations are analogies for -- real problems which friends and family have faced, and are facing.  That quote in my sig was placed there this weekend when I realised that, and realising that made me very happy.  If someone else said that, tell me, and I'll quote them.

I'm busy working on great scripts, to make sure that when we're not starving, we stay that way, and future generations of Holmans, and friends of Holmans, stay that way also.

Just to throw in my comment on this thread to go along with the topic at hand rather than the off-topic fight. Thanks for the votes of confidence on Fempiror. I had no idea that it was considered this way. Wow...

JERRY SPRINGER'S FINAL THOUGHT:  "This site is about writing.  Some are here to have fun.  Some are here for more serious reasons.  What no one here knows is that Alan was beat up during and after school, almost every single day for his entire eight years of elementary school -- more than 90% of the time.  As a result, he's still getting over psychological issues which are partly to blame for why he doesn't even leave the house some weeks.  And soon that house might get taken away.  If he wants to feel good about himself on the internet, he has written good scripts, so recognise those scripts as the good scripts that they are.  Otherwise, if he voices his honest opinion about anything, and you disagree with that opinion, state your disagreement -- don't insult him or bite his head off metaphorically.  Wesley got ticked off because he felt he'd been lied to.  Alan feels bad that Wesley felt bad, and Alan feels bad whenever anything causes an argument.  It's never Alan's intention to cause an argument, so if you don't like what he's saying, take appropriate actions if you must, but remember to cite sources and don't name-call or swear; otherwise, leave him the fuck alone.  That's my final thought.  Good night, America!"
