That sounds like it would be pretty funny. You should post it.
I don't know how it would do here, there are scenes that are very "cabin" like. I was 13 when I wrote it. It's just basically Oscar the grouch molests Elmo, then all of sesame street gang burns him alive in his garbage can and he comes back and kills each muppet in disgusting ways.
My first script was called A nightmare on Sesame Street. I have been tempted to post it, but I know BERT would hate me considering the Bert & Ernie scene.
I'd pay a dollar to read about Guy Smiley's ass shining in the moonlight.
Anyway, back on topic. The first script I wrote was called "The Odds of Love". It used to be on this site, but I had to have it removed.
The format? Abosultely terrible. Completely out of structure, and it was written on a laptop from circa 1988. What really threw me off was that I knew a script was supposed to be between 90-120 pages, and I did come in at about 100 or so, but had it been formatted correctly, it would have been about 200.
I still apologize to Martin, Greg, and anyone else who read that version, even though I think it's a good story. Wait, I mean WAS a good story. You should see what it looks like now......Whoa Nelly!
I think I provided Bert with the link to that picture. But that's just me boasting.
Boywhocouldfly, your Nightmare on Sesame Street sounds incredibly clever. The correlation you gave works well. I did a spoof on the Matrix once called The Sesamatrix. I never really finished it up, but it was amusing for awhile.
The first script I've written was a zombie script (you should've guessed, huh?) and it was called "Dead and Walking" but has no relation whatsoever to the one I have on this site.
My format was horrible, partially because I wrote it on a blog I had a few years ago and it was like this:
SO-AND-SO Oh my gosh! What are those things!
WHAT'S HER FACE I don't know, but it won't die!
SO-AND-SO and WHAT'S HER FACE run away.
Sean
P.S>Those weren't the actual characters names, or else I would be copying Teen Girl Squad.
The first script I wrote was a script called 'Killer Hotel' and it wasn't much of a story. Every hotel guest was killed off and the ending was just the hotel manager getting killed off. Never posted it.
Fear Friday: some students will die to survive a twisted killer. Coming soon.
I remember my first script like it was yesterday. In fact, I don't even really know why I decided to write a script. I knew nothing about screenwriting or story telling....and obviously format. It was a super hero script called "Flame" who was basically a Batman and Daredevil ripoff, but I felt it was the most amazing piece of fiction ever written.
It was only 45 pages long and I thought it was a full length script.
A power surge caused me to lose that masterpiece forever. Haha! I kind of wish I still had it so I could have a good laugh at myself every now and then.
The first script I ever wrote was when I was 12-13. It was a Horror called Offspring. It was a complete piece of crap (93 pgs. long and badly formatted too), so I shredded it. I stopped writing for a little while after that (except for some poetry here and there).
Now I'm fifteen and I've currently been working on a new screenplay, but Writer's block is hitting me hard in the ass and it has taken me almost half a year to finish it, and I'm still only half-way through! I thought when I found this site a while ago that I would be finished and post it here quickly, but I guess I was wrong. It will be sometime I think before I post a script here.
