Where does everyone work. Just out of curiousity

I don't have a job yet, but I'm going to try and get one at Barnes & Noble or at a vet.

Summer job I work at a day camp.  It is actually pretty difficult, they drive me crazy (1st grade boys) but I get $10.25 an hour, so it all works out.

My school year job is at blockbuster, I'm hoping.  Eight free rentals a week.

$10.25 an hour!? Wow, if you don't mind me asking, how many hours do you work? That's a great paycheck if you tell me!

Working at a video rental store sounds good too because sometimes I get bored of my movies, but my parents never take me to rental stores.

I wish I could get a job at a Barns & Nobles, but the nearest one is an hour away...so Books*a*Million will have to work...lol. I hope I can work there next Summer.

Last year, during Christmas time, I had a seasonal job at the local Gamestop. I wasn't there that long, but still the best job ever.

I work as a writer/designer at Crytek. It's a lot of fun.

I saw that Uwe Boll had the rights top Crytek's "far cry" game. Too bad. But still, you have an awesome job.

I still work at a pharmacy...still "just a clerk", Haha.

My job is quite similar to being a prostitute, with the only difference that there are some things a prostitute wouldn't do for money. I'm a lawyer.  

I work at a community run movie theater. It's very boring and I work long hours but it's an easy job, I like the people I work with, and, with overtime, I get a handsome paycheck every other Friday. I'm leaving soon though. Might as well use this last month to make good on the phrase "summer vacation."

I work in a community health centre for injecting drug users. Basically I hand out clean injecting equipment to addicts and provide education about HIV and hepatitis prevention. We have doctors and nurses at the centre as well.

Man, I could tell you some stories about my work.

Example, two days ago one of our clients came in and told us about how his 15 year old son had gone missing; it turned out that the boy had been murdered by a guy that my client and his wife had "done something to". He didn't tell us what they'd done, but it must have been pretty serious. Anyway, the guy was being charged with murder.

I'm an Operations Manager for a company that makes in-store displays.  Operations Manager is just a fancy term for "something is broke, go fix it" and/or "put out this fire".

Interesting job I guess, I've had worse.

Sounds like a shocker. The worst job I had was working in an abattoir. The best was working in a night club; free booze and I "met" a lot of women.

I'm a Local 80, Motion Picture Studio Grip in Los Angeles.  I pay my rent by working on sets, but it's definitely not enough.  I want to direct a film that I've written, and until then, I am empty.  

I spent a ton of money on film school, and it was great, but I didn't learn dick compared to what I've learned in the harsh, real world of films, commercials, and music videos.  Oh yeah, and maybe a porn.

Hollywood is a monster...  Be careful of what you wish for.

I think a thread like this already exists, but what the hell -- any thread with a "corpse washer" in it should be allowed to live.

Guess I should contribute while I'm here.

I am a biochemistry grad student (hopefully, it'll be Dr. bert before too long), which is why my "fun" writing here has been next to nothing lately.

You can see some of my "real world" writing here.  I am on a book chapter, too.

But for some reason, none of this has helped me to secure an agent.  Go figure....  

I'm unemployed. quit my sh**y job working at a grocery store to write. Worked there for a year and a half and it sucked. All I wanna do is get paid to write and direct my own movies. What could be better than that? Well...Maybe washing corpses.

I work for U.S. Cellular and posses the overkill job tite of Customer Service Fact Queue Specialist...which in simpler terms is the Customer Service Help Desk. This means I take calls from peope in Customer SErvice who have questions they need answered or accounts they need oversized credits applied to, and when the ustomer gets snippy and immature, I also take escalated calls.

I push papers around and a group of very talented people come up with stuff like this:

Tony Blair visited the courthouse today and my boss "Here's one of our best interpreters for the deaf...". It was interesting, really was. Cameras everywhere...unusual. lol

I work in a christian bookstore (although it could be labeled as a superstore) in the music department.  We get some pretty intereting people in our store, such as the two writers of the hit novel series "Left Behind" as well as a concert by a new band called "Leeland" later this month.

I work as a doorman (or bouncer) for about three clubs in my local city.

I'm currently painting houses (exterior). It's a pretty good summer gig.

I work overnights for the United States Postal Service.

This summer I got paid $10 an hour to repaint the walls at my stepdad's new office... wasn't a bad deal except for the fumes. The windows in examination rooms don't open.

Now that I'm in school again, I work as a civilian campus officer for the university's police department. I start out patrolling a parking lot at home football games, but I'm hoping to expand my hours before the end of the semester. I need all the money I can get before I study abroad in Lancaster next semester.

I just recently quit my job as a phone canvasser. This invloved being one of these annoying guys who would phone and disturb you with questions about buying windows. I am just now about to start a job in a clothes store called River Island.

Since I quit my job as the Assistant Manager of a retail store I have been helping my boyfriend (a Sub-contractor) with his business as a Painter's Helper,
then today I hired on at EMS as a Customer Service Rep for the new AT&T which looks to be a great job.
I work when I want to... no set schedule, and within one hour today I've already gotten two old customers to switch back to them.  
Yeah, I can do this!  
And still be the Painter's Helper, too.

Well recently, due to a level of shorthandedness, my company decided to transfer me to the main manufacturing facility to work as a manufacturing supervisor.  Not a terrible job, but far too much overtime for a salaried employee, which unfortunately I am.

Luckily, about two weeks ago, I was contacted by a company within the same industry and offered a position as a Logistics Fulfillment Coordinator with a nice bump in salary.  Needless to say I've taken the job and will start on the 27th.

The current job above is the main reason that my time online has been rather limited lately, and I'm sure with the this new job it will be more of the same for a bit, not to mention that the play will be running full steam in the next couple of months, and I still have some contractually obligated rewrites to finish.

Anybody know a thing or two about cloning?

Cloning? Nope...
but I've always thought it would be a great thing if I could grow a couple extra arms when I need them... Sometimes there is just so much going on, ya know?
Then when I'm done with them, I could just sort of push back into my body or break them off... whatever worked.  
Wow! I just thought of how many cantalopes I could throw at the same time!
