Hey Everyone. I am not new to this site but I am new to everything screen writing. I joined this site back in 2005 under a different name and was very inactive. Had alot of real life things going on with my life and now I just had a new baby girl recently.
As I said I am no expert about screen writing but I will try and review something atleast once a week. Thats why the new name here on the forum. With my old name I hardly came on and hardly ever posted so I figured I'd start fresh.
I'm currently trying to make it through my first screen play but I'm not feeling it and need a break from it. Having a baby around keeps me busy and I know it's a lame excuse but Its the one I got for the moment
Anyway. I have read a few on here and I like what this site has to offer. Hopefully one day I'll have a script finished to post on here.
Hey Jaime, welcome to the board (finally). Personally, I know about writing with children since I have three of them. The fortunate part is they do sleep occasionally, but if you have a new one, save the screenwriting for when they finally sleep through the night.
That being said, this is a great time to just learn about the craft and get pumped about it. There are a lot of great people on here with a variety of experience and knowledge. We don't mind being used.
No horses anytime soon the day my daughter gets a horse will be the day I sell a screenplay for a lot of money. The thing about them sleeping through the night is I work overnights lol. But yeah my son will be 3 in september and I know how it is writing when they sleep. I have worked on a few novels and have a few rough drafts (3) of novels. But I was always interested in screen writing and I think I am going to take those three novels and make them into scripts. Who knows what can happen afterwards. But thanks for the welcome and I look forward to reading and sharing with everyone.
