There is a new kid noodling around here named Ross Newcomer.
He is exactly who you might suspect he is.
He turned 13 a few months ago and has read a few things on here and wanted to participate -- to what extent I am not exactly sure -- but I figured what the heck, you know?
Much to my surprise I logged on to find that he had already posted on The Farm (I deleted that) and Better Days (I let that one stand).
He even has an independently produced Star Trek spoof called Space Janitors that he wants to post. I'm gonna make him clean it up first but it's got some laughs in it and I'll probably let him send it in soon.
And the Avatar he picked just cracks me up.
He's a good, whacky kid. Just thought I would clear things up for those who might be wondering.
Another Bert roaming this place? He he, that's cool with me. I've just checked out his last posts and he seems like a bright 13 year old. Man, when I was 13 I could barely tell the time or count...
... and that was just last week so... Still, that's cool.
He he, the avatar he's got made me laugh, but only because I've seen that guy on Scrubs before.
That's great bert! How cool is that that your son writes, too.
Welcome aboard Ross. I'll be looking forward to reading your script.

I just didn't want him bumping up all of my scripts (he still hasn't read Paramour's haha) and I asked him not to do that.
He's read a bunch of stuff on here -- and, he is actually posting on scripts as opposed to bland, half-formed opinions on upcoming films -- so points for that, I guess.
I'm wondering how long before he spots this thread....
Well welcome aboard Bert Jr when you see this thread.
And I was going to ask about that since you mentioned it. I was going through a lot of the old scripts on here. Should I post comments on them since they are old or are they now just forgotten and you move on? The farm was actually one of the scripts I downloaded for reading at work this weekend. lol.
Or should we comment on just new scripts (last month) that have been posted etc...
You can comment on any script on here from any time period. Some of us who have posted for a couple years love to see our older fare pop up in the portal or at the top of their genre in the board. Vengeance (that I posted in April 04) still occasionally gets bumped and I think is still on the first page of horror. The Farm has a ton of posts since it came around in May 05, and often finds itself bumped as well. Feel free to post on whatever you want. There are no rules on that aspect.
I thought that may have been your kid, from the location and last name, I told Zombie sean last night that I think Bert's kid just signed up. I hope he likes it here, and his avatar is great

A little off-topic, but a good question. One thing George forgot to mention was to look at who wrote it. Is the author of this ancient script even around on the boards to appreciate your thoughts?
If so, fire away -- it's fun to have old works resurrected. If not, well -- I don't even bother reading those, leave alone commenting on them. You are wasting your time.
But very rarely I will find something really exceptional that has been overlooked -- for whatever reason -- and I might bump those up, too.
