Have any simplyscripts-ers written and filmed something that they've put on youtube?

YouTube stinks because you're film can only be a couple minutes long and, at least for me, it doesn't upload right and takes forever.

A few people do have things on youtube (If you'd look) and most are contained within this and the General Chat sections.
Youtube can hold longer videos but like all internet video transfers the qualiy is garbage. George's video and others I have watched on ifilm are actually really good as far as quality goes.
ifilm seems to support feature and short films at first glance. |

Quality is all about the quality of the original, and how you convert it. I try to max out the quality as much as I can when I'm going to upload something. There are limitations and I try to be courteous in regards to file transfers speeds and such with big files, but I know that if it isn't any good on the viewing quality, what's the point? |

If you know certain tricks, you can post things that are more than an hour. The quality is compromised however. |

I have videos on YouTube, but they aren't films that I have written scripts for. Most of it's improv. Actually....all of it is. Sean |

One version of Suicide was posted on youtube, but it's not a good production. And the 'Bollywood' version of For Entertainment Purposes Only is supposed to be going up under the name 'The Fortune Teller.' Phil |

Both of my postings are on my myspace page. One is the Australian production of a story called "Alien Proof" I wrote for that group. The other is a little impromptu experiment involving split screen and sound syncking. Both are here: http://www.myspace.com/georgewillson |

I beg to differ. I uploaded my short that was mde into a movie. It uploaded quickly and it was 25 minutes long. Youtube is pretty good but I like some other ones. My short sucked a bit but we worked hard with fixing it up and stuff good actiong a camera and it came out good. |

The only way I know you can upload a video that's more than 10 minutes long is if you have a director's account or something.

Are there any other sites like Youtube?
Newgrounds, AcidPlanet, Grouper, and Ifilms are in ways like Youtube. There are undoubtedly many more but I don't believe they're as well developed and managed. Just do a quick search on yahoo and I"m sure you'll come up with something.
Even myspace has a film section now too. Online video and shows may in a couple of years replace cable. That'd be kind of cool.

YouTube allows more than 10 minutes if you have a director's account. I read about it and they seem to be leery of people using their site for llegal films and such, so you have to click the magic box that says you own the right to distribute anything you upload.
YouTube is actually a newer player in the online video world. Ifilm and Atomfilms have been around for quite some time now. Movieflix has been showing full length films as well. I've never checked into their submission policy, but it's gone from free for all to being a premium type site. |

I've visited ifilm, atomfilms, efukt, youtube and filecabi.net and I think a minimal fee to put your film up would really improve these sites. Even if it's just ten dollarsa piece, a lot of the less professional (aka: stupid) stuff would go up. Phil |
