Hello out there. Just wanted to say hi. I'm new here. Just finished my first 10 pages. I feel really good about it, I know it needs work. I've never done this before. I have all these ideas, I am really happy I finally sat down and started writing. I think I was just scared to start writing, doubting myself. But it feels good. Well any advice for an uber-beginner? Thanks Stephanie
Welcome to the cult fold, Stephanie. You may want to read some scripts, here, while you're writing. This is especially important if you are not sure about formatting. Reviewing scripts now will also encourage others to read and review your script when you post it.
Thanks, I got the Final Draft software... I've read a couple of scripts already, but really would love to get as much info in my head as possible. Thanks for the copyright tip!
Welcome to this crazy community! Right now I'm thinking about the idea of new beginnings and this is something we all work at everyday and every moment... and right when we think we've got it figured, time comes and changes it.
haileevale@hotmail.com if I am ever absent from the boards... I'm still working with people on the sidelines, but I have times when my work takes my presence away. If you need help though and I don't seem to be around, just email me.
You say you've just finished your first 10 pages, is this from a feature or have you completed a short? I think shorts are the best way to introduce yourself. People will read your shorts, if you read theirs of course, and then post a feature wehn you become more of a regular. Just my advice, ignore if you wish, I won't be offended I promise lol.
Check out my scripts...if you want to, no pressure.
What's up Stephanie? I'm pretty new on this site as well. I've been reading as many of the scripts as possible that are posted on this site. I think it helps while you are writing your own thing. You'll see what you should do and what you should definately not do. I just started working on my first script as well. I'm thinking it will be a short, but who knows what it will turn into. Anyways, welcome and good luck.
