I sit together with Michael on the 46 year old side of the "peeling painted fence". Now a days: "Who needs paint?" They use that "stuff" ...what-do-ya-callit... Oh there's good writing.
I was born before internet, before most moms decided it was better to work outside of the house and when "gay" meant happy. Grandma had a hard time because all the old songs didn't work anymore.
But there's the up side. Guys/gals who care more deeply about guys/gals (in that way) can be real to themselves without as much hurtfulness from the public.
Still though, I think that the media often makes a mockery out of same-sex relationships.
I've digressed, but I think that how old we see ourselves is something to think about. Such as in the case of my digressions into family/relationship structure.
Other people might think about one particular event that happened during their childhood...
Some of us echo other people's comments, kind of like: I feel both old and young at the same time.
That's how I feel-- old and young at the same time.
Even though my time on this planet says 46 years, I feel what it feels like to be 12 again and I feel what it feels like to be 72 someday-- IF I ever reach 72.
I wish I could have my old body back and keep the wisdom I have now.
