Another new member looking to add to the already bulging sack of overlooked gems. . . Or somthing.
Ok, so in a nutshell:
I came across this place by accident. Read a few scripts. Enjoyed them. Read a few more. Thought to myself, '' Well, I need a new hobby, stuff has been pretty boring lately,'' so decided to join up and have a go. I haven't written anything creativley for about ten years so expect some pretty awful crap to begin with, then hopefully, some adverage stuff at least.
I've been floating about the forums for a few days reading scripts and learning the format, so even if the content is poor, I should at least get the layout down correctly.
And that's about it.
I look forward to getting to know you all.
P.S. I will probably start with a few shorts -- I believe that's what you guys call them -- before I tackle anything large.
OK, the thread title was funny enough to earn a "welcome to the boards".
You say you have been reading scripts -- you should let the authors know whether you like them or not. You need not be an experienced scriptwriter to offer your thoughts on a story -- it is always welcomed by the authors.
Commenting on scripts -- by the way -- is an excellent way to get people to "return the favor" when you finally post something of your own.
