My first feature screenplay, Red Light, is a semi-finalist in the Straight Twisted Horror Screenplay Contest!

I've known about it for several days now, but I'm still on a high from it all. I never expected to make it this far, especially at my age, so I'm extremely happy and proud at the moment. A year's worth of writing and editing has definitely proven worthy of my time.

Thanks to all of my readers for their comments and support!

Thanks for all the support, everyone!

Although I made the semi-finals, my script unfortunately did not pass the next judging round and did not make the finals.

However, I'm not taking this as a loss. I beat out 75% of the other contestants, so that's gotta mean something, right?

Thanks again!

What are you nuts! I would kill to have my script short listed in a script competition. That would be super cool.

And look at it this way with the finalist decision, the judges have to go over scripts with a toothbrush and a comb to choose the final few. All that means is that maybe the difference between your script and the winner is in your script you wrote "then" instead of "than" or  "their" instead of "there" or misspelled one or two words or something silly like that.
