I've met a few of you by reading scripts and having you read the one script I've posted so far, so I may not be totally new to this forum, but I am totally new to the field of screenwriting.

I am 43 years old, have been married for 19 years, and have three sons.  7, 8 and 12 years old.

I went to college for graphic arts, then painting and drawing with a minor in English, back in the mid to late eighties.  Never completing a degree.

I have been a Transportation Planner at Goodyear Tire and Rubber for the last 4-1/2 years.  Before that I worked in a machine shop, and as an injection molding technician.

I have always been a lover of film, television and advertising, but never studied it in an organized fashion.

I love the structure and flow of screenplays, and find it quite natural to write.

As you read by my history, I have done nothing with the supposed 'creativity' everyone, including myself, felt I had in my younger days, and the desire to create 'something of substance', has swelled in me to the point of bursting.  I believe I can find that outlet in the world of screenwriting!!

So. . .here I am.

Thanks for the warm greetings folks.  This is just the place I've been looking for to help me grow as a screenwriter.

me: You're more than welcome to read my short mock/tribute to Ed Wood script, The Beast from Planet 7734:

http://www.simplyscripts.net/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl?b-short/m-1233520627/

A young man in California is going to produce it for a college project!  I'd love to hear what you think.

I also just submitted my full length script: The Blueprint For Life, but it is not posted yet.  Watch for it!
