I've been lurking around the edges of the site for a coupe of weeks now and finally decided to take the plunge. I've already learned a whole bunch just by reading and look forward to learning a lot more.
I recently finished my first short and am currently doing some revisions. Revisions and just the right number of Coors Light tall boys and I'll be ready to share.
Well, it sounds like you have lurked long enough to know all the secrets. Of course, don't mix the steps up. It takes alcohol to write the first draft, but you gotta be sober to revise it.
Welcome either way and thanks for piping up (finally).
Ah yes. The trick is to know eactly how many beers is the right amount. But as Willson, George Willson said, rewrite and revise sober. And he does know what he's talking about.
Rendevous I read "Green" the other day and really enjoyed the Gilby and Rosie characters. I know some people felt that Rosie was a bit of a biatch, but truth be told, I kind of dug that in a sexy/educated/out of your league kind of way. I suppose that may say something more about me than anything else though.
Welcome to SimplyScripts. Are you saying you'll need a few beers before submitting your first short? Most members will give you plenty of encouragement and help so don't worry.
Check out my scripts...if you want to, no pressure.
As Re and Alffy said earlier, you'll have great fun here and the people on the forums are extremely helpful and supportive. It's really daunting submitting your first script, but you'll be glad you did- I know I was. (just keep a track on your comma usage, or rendevous will release the dogs...)!
Looking forward to reading your first script buddy.
