Hi - nice to virtually meet all of you! Some of you may have already read my music posts and deduced that I'm a huge classic rock fan and trivia nut...
I've posted my first script "Grand Avenue" under the comedy section. My comedy likes and influences are Woody Allen, Python, The Young Ones and Buddy Hackett. From this generation I love Rock, Louis C.K., Brian Regan, Jim Gaffigan, Dom Irrera and Gilbert Gottfried.
And I'm a fan of classic comedy shows like The Odd Couple (I type that with all due reverence and genuflecting), Taxi, Cheers and WKRP.
Looking forward to great discussions and even greater works of the pen - Anthony
Wow someone good at trivia! I'm the person always asking, "What show was he in again?"
I also enjoyed the Odd Couple. For some reason right now I'm thinking about the Frasier show. That was a good one that I enjoyed too, but doesn't go back quite as far.
Au contraire, it is you who should not encourage Sandra. Otherwise we may all end up in a different dimension...a dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge...

Sandra knows I'm joking...sort of.
Actually, I know that you are speaking the truth, my dear Michael. Yes, and that was very beautiful. I'm noting that down and we must use that in a script.

Oh um, all due respect, but that’d be plagiarism Sandra ... that's the TZone.
Sandra, you probably didn't recognize it straight off cause you dwell in that time and space continuum permanently. I actually suspect you are a platinum card-carrying member. Been there a lot myself lately. It's kinda’ mind-blowing. Quite a few members reside there actually. Well we are writers, right?!
“You unlock this door with the key of imagination. ‘That’s the signpost up ahead.’
Okay. Enough!! Now I’m just 'encouraging.'
Did you see the signpost Anthony? If you didn't... well, you’re in big trouble. It's a veritable riot, is SS. You have been warned!

It sounds quite the interesting place... do they have take-out?

P.S. I'd like a choccy bikkie with my tea pls.
Te-he! You know what? I was almost going to write, if you didn't steal it Michael,, but then I thought, no, Michael is that brilliant. And he is.
But you know, I wouldn't have known for sure if it were a line from a movie or not. Not most of the time. I just haven't seen enough movies.
Thanks LC, but even now, you could be pulling my leg.

Luvya,

Oh no, not pulling your leg Sandra. And, am in no way am detracting from MC's obvious talents. Was speaking of the 'Twilight Zone' to which he doth quote. And of that being the same place some of us reside when we are in the ‘writing zone’.
Btw, "the term "twilight zone" predates the television program, and originally meant simply a "gray area." … Rod Serling himself chose the title of the series, and said that only after the series aired did he discover that the "twilight zone" was also a term applied by the US Air Force to the terminator, the imaginary border between "night" and "day" on a planetary body."
Luvya too Sandra (there's a lot of it to go around)!
