Folks,

Mike Shelton wrote a script a while back called Expiration Date  that got picked up and filmed as Cessation by Sopht Pictures.  It stars Dennis Haysbert (president David Palmer in "24") and character actors Samantha Colburn and Ben Shields.

The Facebook page is up here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cessation/134806766603588

The film is available to DIRECT TV, AT&T UVERSE, AND DISH NETWORK subscribers.  It may be available more places, but I'm groggy.

Imdb: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1362188/
production website: http://www.sophtpictures.com
Early Draft of script: http://www.simplyscripts.net/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl?b-short/m-1180309796/s-0/

Written in haste,

Don

When I figure things out, ( oh my G-d that might be a long time) but before then I surely do aim, to see this on screen. Good show, Mike.

Good job, Mike!

Very well deserved!

I can't live the buttoned-down life like you. I want it all. The dizzying highs, the terrifying lows, the creamy middles. Sure, I may offend some of the blue bloods with my cocky stride and musky odors. Oh, I'll never be the darling of the so-called "city fathers," who cluck their tongues, stroke their beards and talk about what's to be done with this Homer Simpson?

Good on you, Mike!

This looks like a top notch production.
I did manage to find a couple scenes online.
Samantha Colburn has a demo reel.
The scene with Dennis Haysbert is very "revealing".

Thanks, everyone.  There may be some other stuff in the works with this yet, so I'll keep you in the loop once I hear anything.

Good work Shelton! you've gotta be psyched! I searched this on my Directv in hopes of watching it, but its only available to Showtime customers. Meh, Might have to add showtime for one month just to see it.

Hi All,

Just popping in to let you know that the film is now available on iTunes for $1.99, so if you've got an extra gift card or some pocket change lying around, check it out.
