Hello. I am new here, just joined the other day. I have completed my first script, but I admit, I had no clue if I was doing it right or not. I have edited the script on my own, but now I am really looking for opinions on whether it is any good or not. I am also looking to have someone read it and tell me what mistakes I have made.
Looking forward to learning more about script writing and hopefully I can finally get a good, Hollywood ready script completed.

If this is your 1st script, as you say, chances are you didn't even come close to getting it right... I'll let one of the regular members greet you n' all of that -- But I'd be willing to look at a few pages of your script and see where you're at.

I'm sure I didn't get it right. I've been scoping script review services but they tend to be so expensive.
Be sure to stick around for a wee while to receive some of the best feedback up for grabs IMO.
Like others, I'm willing to take a look at your work as well. It can be a tricky business to learn, but, once you get the hang of it, you should be all sweet (Sorry about the kiwi slang )
welcome to SS. It's nice for once to have some ask for help before they post!!
If in doubt read a handful of scripts, check out the threads on writing format and keep working on your project, but don't forget to start others. I think a selection of scripts when you start out is a helpful way to learn.
The Elevator Most Belonging To Alice - Semi Final Bluecat, Runner Up Nashville Inner Journey - Page Awards Finalist - Bluecat semi final Grieving Spell - winner - London Film Awards. I'll second Bill's comments here and say it's nice to have a newbie is honest enough to say their first script probably needs work rather than the ones who claim to have written the greatest script since....since....(was going to include one of mine lol)
Welcome to the boards, dxer07002.
Check out my scripts...if you want to, no pressure.
This is the place to learn though you only get out of it what you put in. Read others work and post comments for them and many will return the favor.
We where all in your shoes once, and have moved forward due to the help from many kind and helpful people on SS.
Enjoy
Regards Alex
Thanks Alex. I am going to read the scipts posted to the site. I'm still trying to learn hwo everything works here. I'll get the hang of it in a few days I'm sure. I know I am not too good at criitiquing work though. Especially when I am a noob trying to learn myself.

I'm Daniel, btw.
Nice to meet you Daniel. I'll try to get my script to everyone once I get it into PDF format. I used Movie Magic Screenwriter as my writing program. I'm still fixing a few things, but once I'm done, I'll post it or email it to everyone who is willing to take a look at it.

Hi Bill.
I'm under no delusions that I am any kind of screen writer. I have always wanted to write one, and many times came up with ideas and outlines. But I never got around to completing one. This time, after having a story in my mind, I stuck with it and completed it. Like I said, I am under no impression that it is any good or that I did it right.
I'm really looking for feedback regarding, not the format since the software I used formats it, but mostly if I used the scene headings right, what is weak, what is strong, what I could change to make the scene more powerful, stuff like that.
